I've got a 2003 PT Cruiser and I am currently super charging the engine and doing some body work. I plan on putting on a 01 on both doors to honor the Dukes and a dixie horn, but that's as far as it goes. An orange PT Cruiser would look rediculous. It's silver and will post pics as soon as I get it done.

The offical word is the soundtrack comes out July 19th! I just ordered mine from Amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0009VI4EE/qid=1119290294/sr=8-5/ref=pd_bbs_ur_5/104-6185400-5779143?v=glance&s=music&n=507846 I hope it's full of Southern music and is only limited to that one crappy Jessica Simpson song. Even Willie Nelson couldn't help her out!

One word... BARF!!!

I'm still under the impression that Willie will be the balladeer since he said so in the Wal-Mart Exclusive DVD and he sings the song at the end of the movie. I'm convinced it's Willie.

One of the TV spots has the director, Jay, in a trooper outfit saying, "Mother of God!" in the intro. I've hear that others will be in the movie and they might be seen during the college part.
-
That was awesome! They needed a faster start and a counter-balance in the back, but it was still a good try.

That song is a remake of the classic song BLACK BETTY. The band's name is Spiderbait. The song was originally on the WITHOUT A PADDLE soundtrack. I love this song. I hope there will be a resurgance of Southern Rock music once this movie comes out.

Those new Chargers are extreamly fast, but like the GTO they don't look like muscle cars. They look bland. They new Chargers have nothing in common look wise. They had "Chargers in the 80's also that didn't look like Chargers... They looked like crap. They need to go more retro like the Thunderbird or the new Mustang. Until then I'll enjoy my '69 Charger!

I don't know if anyone else saw this, but here is the link to see the cover of Season 4. Enjoy! http://www.dvdtown.com/coverart/dukesofhazzardthecompletefourt/16251/

Just curious... What cast members will be at Duke Fest this year? I know Ben Jones and James Best will be there, but who else? There's something on this board that says Sonny won't be there. Any other info on who will be there?

Additional Dukes DVD release with movie footage
EvilErnie13 replied to GoodOlBoy80's topic in Dukes of Hazzard Movies
It's a Wal-Mart exclusive DVD. I found mine at my local Wal-Mart. Make sure you're checking your Season 3 DVD Box Sets. Some don't come with the movie ticket. It might be because this box set was supposed to come out the week before the movie was originally slated. Check the dates on the tickets if you get one with your Season 3 Box Set. -
Does enyone else find it disturbing that Joe Don Baker was listed on the poster before Willie Nelson? I don't see Joe Don on the poster anywhere... Maybe he plays a larger roll in the film. Maybe he's a villian and is helping Boss Hogg with the real estate scam that will take the Duke's farm away from Uncle Jessie. I can only hope that's what the plot is because I have no real clue what it's about. **PLOT** From what I gather, Boss is grabbing real estate in Hazzard for strip mining (I heard it here months ago!) and needs the Duke's farm. He will forclose on the farm if a payment isn't met. The Duke boys find a car to enter the Hazzard Rally so they can win the prize and save the farm. Crazy Cooter fixes the car up after it gets trashed (this explains why there is a Confederate flag so it will be accepted by touchy Americans and scared producers). Rosco is ordered to stop the Dukes from entering the race. A BIG cash happens. The General enters the race. Wins it. The movie ends.

Is there a website that has the TV trailers? I don't have cable and I want to check out what trailers look like. I am dying to find out what Cooter looks like since I've heard he's literally crazy in this flick. I read a while back he wears a bathrobe and underwear. No wonder Ben Jones is pissed!
-
Did I read the poster right? "Thrillbillies"??? This poster is a real let down. The angle of the car is bad too. And of course the only reason why anyone who never watched the show is going to see this... Jessica Simpson is in the middle of the poster. She is what the producers are banking on will bring in the movie goers. It's really sad that this is what Hollywood would destroy to make a buck. At least they will make people from the south look distinguished... Oh, wait. Thrillbillies.

The world record that is mentioned is seen at the begining of every Dukes of Hazzard opening. It was done during the last episode of season 01. The Dukes jump this huge river trying to get away from someone (I can't remember right now). They had 3 different camera angles, including one camera bolted on to the passanger side of the car.

I saw it last weekend during the Simpsons. It's about time they showed Roscoe! Nice touch Boss calling Enos a dipstick.

Have you ever been rude or dissed a celebrity?
EvilErnie13 replied to DukesFan24's topic in General Discussion
Oh yeah... And I beat up a comic book creator named Bill Tucci back in '96 for bad mouthing my girlfriend at the time. It was fun! I saw him a couple of years back and he remembered me. He told me to stay away from him or he would call the cops. -
Have you ever been rude or dissed a celebrity?
EvilErnie13 replied to DukesFan24's topic in General Discussion
I used to be a DJ at a few radio stations and I have met a few celebrities. I have only dissed one celebrity in the past 10 years I've been on the air. Before I go any further the band I'm about to talk about was called TOOL. They were a wonderful band and I clock them in as one of the best rock bands of the 1990's. At the beginning of the new millennium they changed their name to A Perfect Circle. They sounded the same, but something was missing. Anyway, the band was "Taking over the air waves at 97Rock!" and they just got to the studio to do the broadcast. They signed autographs and took pictures with the 97Rock group. We were all stoked. And then... The mic came on and they started acting like complete idiots. They played horrible music from great artists, insulted the listeners, banged on a cowbell for 10 minutes, and make dumb remarks like, "Iowa is where they potatoes, right?" I pretty much called them out as idiots with great musical abilities on the air. We had callers calling in for days agreeing with me. It was great. The down-side was a band I held in great regard turned out to be complete tools. -
I rated as Bo Duke. Bad news for my girl though... She always like Luke!

It's the same explanation. He's still in Atlanta taking refresher courses. Sheriff Grady is the longest lasting replacement for Sheriff Roscoe in the whole series.

Great Interviews at joblo.com
EvilErnie13 replied to bamamediamafia's topic in Dukes of Hazzard Movies
Here's the new interview from joblo.com. It's the director, Jay Chanrasekhar, this time and he has something to say about who will be singing the theme song. This might also mean we may know who the Bandoleer will be. -
Amen brother! Tell it on the mountain!
-
whose gonna be tha balladeer?
EvilErnie13 replied to Mopar Duke Fan's topic in Dukes of Hazzard Movies
So far no word on who will play the Bandoleer, but Willie Nelson is officially singing the theme song! That means that if there even is a bandoleer it might just be Willie. It would make sense. He the patriarch of the family and doesn't the oldest and wisest of the family tell the family stories? -
It's official! Willie Nelson sings the theme to the Dukes of Hazzard Movie. It's the same song only this time Willie sings it. Director Jay Chandrasekhar confirms it in the joblo.com interview. For more info on the movie check out the interviews at joblo.com. Director http://www.joblo.com/index.php?id=7006 Bo http://www.joblo.com/index.php?id=7007 Luke http://www.joblo.com/index.php?id=7008
