I forgot to add this earlier... Bullit! It has one of the best car chase scenes ever! Other people had it so I wasn't going to add it. That was until I realized I needed the Duke fans to know I love that film.

The reason the Charger is back is because the muscle cars are coming back. First with the Pontiac GTO (which looks like a Grand AM), then Mustang (the only car to keep a muscle car look), and finally the Charger (don't get me started!) It was announced last week that Dodge is also bringing back the Challenger. Not the car I thought they should have brought back, but it means a resurgence of American Muscle! Now Chevy has to step up to the table. They put the Camaro to bed a couple of years ago which means a different muscle car from their 1960/1970's line. I would love to see a new Chevelle or Nova.

I've always love Smokey and the Bandit, but my other favorite racing movies are Days of Thunder, followed by Gone in 60 Seconds (with the exception of the flying Mustang!), The Transporter, and finally Ronin.

I agree. There is no way that this song will be in the movie... but then again I've given this movie too much credit anyway.

Cooter is being played by David Koechner (ANCHORMAN) and he can be seen in the pictures section of the website. It's the second to last picture in the gallery, he's sitting in a truck with "Daisy", and he is wearing a yellow trucker hat. Cletus is being played by Jack Polick (BLOW) and there aren't any pics of him as of yet.. Personally, I would like to see some pics of Cletus.

I think I only saw one episode with Coy and Vance when I was a kid and didn't like it. Now that I'm an adult I can't wait to see how badly they sucked. They can't be any worse than Stifler and Jackass!

Personally, I think Matthew McConaughey and Luke Wilson would have been a better choice. As for Daisy, I would have picked an unknown. Boss, Uncle Jessie, Cooter, and Roscoe could have stayed the same, but I would have written so they were serious and let the humor come from their characters. I also would have had Enos as an unknown. Joe Don Baker... well, I don't think you can have too much Joe Don Baker.

I totally agree with you. I've been saying since I saw the trailer, "I'm not real big on the actors, but I'm glad to see the Dukes on the big screen!" It definately opens doors. I bet if the movie wasn't coming out we wouldn't get Season 4 as fast as we are. And if the movie does well, maybe we'll see a new TV show. That's a big IF, but I'm optomistic. Personally, I see this movie as a positive for Duke fans everywhere... even if it does suck!
