Bo Dukes bow, martin warthog
Road Pirate replied to floyd012010's topic in Dukes of Hazzard General Discussion
There was a blue Martin Cougar a few days ago on eBay. It looked like metal flake blue minus the flakes, had a case, and came with five bows. If I were a little better off if I wouldn't of hesitated to get it. Unfortunately it seems to be gone. I can shoot but money these days lol - Today

It seems everybody is using shine to fuel their engines! Well you kids remember, the old man ( me....Hobie) is using his own special shine ......( who would or could make better shine than the town drunk? lol ), and I'm going down the straightaway just out of the curve! ( right now I'm waving at Daisy and Meadow!! ) and I'm about to pour another jug straight into the engine and one straight into me! * *Actually, since my wife is off tomorrow and I don't have to drive, I'm about to indulge in my regular beer ( Millwaukee's Best Ice.....Ice Beer is my fav.!! ) WE'll still need to celebrate DOHD on Friday, even though I can't sleep in Sat.! Ha! Ha!

A company called WheelHouseTV is making a 5-part, 5-hour documentary called "Knight Rider: Declassified". It's set to feature interviews and behind-the-scene footage from the 1980s show, and then be released on a limited blu-ray and streaming. The weird thing is that the interviewees include John Schneider, Tom Wopat and Catherine Bach. More info here.

Yeah basically. If you get a chance look up "Tubbz" also known as cosplaying ducks lol Basically if pop figures were ducks.
-
That sounds cool. Is it like one of those Funko Pops type things?

I own the complete series on DVD as well as Knight Rider 2000 the tv movie from 91 but sadly that's a region 2 dvd so I e only been able to watch it a couple times. My brother actually bought me a Michael Knight "Tubz" over the weekend. They're like these officially licensed ducks based on characters

I like the way you think. A lot of good things came from season 5 and that's one of them. -

Awesome. I want one just like it but bigger when I'm 90 and need a rocker. (66 now so I have awhile). -

My all-time favorite ep is High Octane. I'm not just saying that to be polite since you like it. I've said that on many threads. It sure was a bummer when they starting filming in California but by then I was hooked for life. They could have filmed in Antarctica and I still would have watched. -
Grilled Cheese Sandwiches/Butter vs Mayonnaise
RogerDuke replied to Skipper Duke's topic in General Discussion
A lot of old timers used to eat raw hamburger. I remember my grandma making meatballs and occasionally snacking on a pinch of it. Eating raw liver was more common in the old days than today of course but I don't remember anybody in my family doing it. -

Sorrell Booke (Boss Hogg) confessed it's awful. In an interview he said "I asked the prop man what's going to be used for the raw liver? He said he looked around, and the only thing he could find that looked like raw liver was raw liver. They put a plate of it down in front of me, and I said "What the hell. It can't kill you. But I'll tell you, it sure tastes sickening." 😂 -

I just googled and found out it's real. That man actually ate REAL RAW LIVER. I could never. Like I wanna so I could say I did but I think I'll stick to buttermilk and popcorn oh my. -
My favorite character was Stewart's girlfriend. When she tries to "teach" Amy how to like comic books and she's like "I don't pretend I like comic books" An age old lesson. The new series, spin off, is gonna be actually insane.

I swear High Octane is one of the best episodes of any show I've ever seen. I may be biased for Road Pirates but I really think High Octane is Duke perfection. There's a music note that plays when you first see the Rolls on the criminals property. I never hear that note in any other episode but I used to think it sounded so good and helped set the mood for what was going on -
dukes of hazzard The Dukes of Hazzard: Racing For Home
Road Pirate replied to Skipper Duke's topic in Games General Discussion
I could be wrong but this may be related to the type of screens PlayStation and GameBoy would be out put on. Gameboy had no backlight so they often shifted tones of colors to make them appear better. The PlayStation also relies on scan lines for certain pictures to look a specific way. For example the sky might pop a bit more if playing on a crt tv. -
A bit different but there is a graphic novel, or a series of comic books, refered to as Blackest Night. They're Green Lantern comics. I tell you when I read those I actually imagined a score. No other book did I imagine the score. I still remember reading one of the Double Fudge books in fourth grade and to this day I can visually remember how I picture their house by the creek and the apartment building in another. Now I've been reading the manga of One Piece lately so that I can read what the One Piece is when we know and I do hear the music that I hear when I watch the show as I read it. I really don't know if the same can be said for any other books. Now if I read Star Trek or Star Wars books I'll of course hear Harrison For and William Shatner but it takes something unique to make me hear the score as I read.

Yep! Used to love the theme song when I was little. We watched it so much I never even thought anything of it being in black and white. I mean like I wouldn't even realize it was in black and white if that makes sense. It just was cause it didn't need to be in color. If you get the chance look up Grand Theft Auto (1977) if you've never seen it. It's the first film ol Ronnie ever directed

I'm not as obsessed as I am with some other shows but I'm definitely a fan. I used to swear Gilligan and Dick Grayson wore the same sweater.

This is my Dukes rocking chair I had when I wasna kid. My aunt's husband made it for me in 2001 when I was still only three. It's graphic is obviously from the Dukes of Hazzard Racing for Home. I took it outside and got some of that wood cleaner that you dilute with water and went to work. My dukes car collection is on top of the box next to it!
