  2. Any episodes that were darker/more serious than the rest of the show?
  3. Okay so I wanted to make a forum about this and I am just curious, if anyone reading this was given the opportunity to script an episode of the Dukes of Hazzard for Warner Bros, what would be the plot that they would come up with. I want to see some of the creative ideas that this amazing community can come up with!!!
  4. If it had been traditional, there probably would have been an overused laugh track and the show would have tried to be preachy and topical with "very special episodes"
  5. I started season 5 not too long ago and I've noticed that Cooter is missing from several episodes in the early middle of the season. He is explained to be on vacation but why was Ben Jones not present for filming?
  6. I notice this because of "Comrade Duke", "Witness: Jesse Duke", and "Welcome Back, Bo 'n' Luke". They seem more serious than other episodes of the show.
  7. Who do y'all think the most attractive female guest/minor character on The Dukes of Hazzard was? Remember these are characters who only appeared one or a few times, not counting Catherine Bach/Daisy Duke. If possible, include pictures. (If this hasn't already been done before.).
  8. I know about Ben Jones leaving the show temporarily over a dispute. But how was Cooter's absence explained in the show when his cousins filled in for him? I know James Best's absence was written in as Rosco went to Atlanta to retrain at the police academy.
  9. No one ever used turn signals, they just turned recklessly.
  10. I have never noticed anyone watching TV on Dukes. Were there any episodes with TVs?
  11. Any of y'all watching One Armed Bandits today on VHS, DVD, Bluray, or digitally?
  12. Do any of y'all know anyway to watch/download the Moonrunners film free and without viruses/spyware?
  13. New to The Forums not new to the Dukes. I have Been a Dukes of Hazzard Fan since i was a Child. I used to have a Toy Metal General Lee when i was a Kid and one of the old metal tv Trays. not sure what happened to them they have been passed down to my younger Cousin when he was a kid.anyway just wanted to say Howdy. lookie there It's Flash lol
  14. Bo and Luke Duke discover Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane is bringing illegal slot machines into the county for Boss Hogg and scheme to spoil their plans.

  16. Hey y'all, I just got season 5 as a present from my sister.I'm just wondering what to expect.I know that most people don't like season 5 because Bo and Luke aren't in it,but the stunts are meant to be really good. I'm just wondering what y'all think of season 5 and why
  17. 16 Magazine / July 1980 Back In The Day The Teen Magazines Were All Dukes Of Hazzard & KISS ! https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=544824408957943&set=a.330136690426717.77641.100002911651182&type=1&stream_ref=10
  18. Hi, I am a new member here, and want to say HI to all my fellow Duke's of Hazzard enthusiasts. I have watch every episode when it aired live on TV. I was hooked on this show ever since then. And I am still hooked on it now. I am glad it is back on CMT starting today (Jan 5th) at 2 Pm. I will be watching it for sure! I have a 1969 Dodge Charger SE with a 383 CI Big Block (335 HP), and a 727 Automatic Transmission. It is a Numbers Matching Car and is a complete car. Everything there is what was put there from the factory. This car is a Factory A/C which is 1 of only 38 ever made this way. I have to put the A/C parts back on, but they are in the trunk for now. I have had the motor re-built, and the trans is going to be re-built to handle the motor. And the Rear will be gone over and get the necessary work done to that. Then, I must decide what I am going to do with the body. Right now, the body is all in primer. Should I keep it original green or make it a General Lee (Hemi Orange)? That is the question. Not sure Yet, but I will keep you posted. I was at Duke's Fest 2008 and met every living Cast member except Tom Wopat. BUT I was able to Meet Tom Wopat at a Convention in New Jersey. I wish I could Have met Sorell Booke (Boss Hogg) and Denver Pyle (Uncle Jessie), But they are no longer with us. Well, I don't want to bore you with too much, so I will end it here. Yeeeeeeeeeeeee Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw!!!!!! Rich
  19. Ben's already announced he's gonna do it again. Yes, Virginia, there IS a 2012 Hazzard Homecoming, August 11 & 12. Same location as last year in Sperryville VA. This will be the biggest annual Dukes of Hazzard fan gathering of the year. (formerly known as "DukesFest".) This is the fastest we've seen him announce the next year's event, so he must have somethin' cookin'! No other details are yet public. As soon as they are, we'll post more. Any of ya'll coming from a distance might wanna read through our 2011 forum threads about Hazzard Homecoming, in reference to hotels and such. Sperryville is a scenic area, but the town itself is tiny. You'll have to stay at another town for a hotel unless you opt to camp near the event. Ben usually has a hotel booking code that gets you a convention rate. But if you book via Expedia this far out, you might do just as well on cost. Glad to see Ben's throwing another shindig. Hopefully we'll see a lot of the Dukes of Hazzard cast there!
  20. CMT is running a Dukes of Hazzard mini-marathon on June 28th, starting at noon eastern time! Check your local listings to confirm air times.
  21. The original "Killer Shrews" movie of 1959 was...well, so dang bad, it became a cult classic. James Best starred in the original movie, which is reason enough to watch it if you get the chance. Then, you'll be all set for the sequel, due out soon, "Return of the Killer Shrews!" Yes, shrews. Nasty lil' varmints. Eeek. Hey, if they attack by the tens of thousands, it's scary, right? You betcha. I'm normally not one for horror films, but as a lifelong Dukes of Hazzard fan, I can't pass up a movie that has James Best, Rick Hurst, and John Schneider in it. I checked out the official website tonight, and the promo photos look interesting. Have a look: Return of the Killer Shrews Looks like fun, eh? Per IMDB, the movie is in post-production status. Don't know the release date yet, but we'll hollar when we hear of it. Or, one of ya'll will know before we do and post it, which is fine!
  22. Rick Hurst, otherwise known as Deputy Cletus Hogg, will be at Cooter's Place in Gatlinburg on July 01, 2011. He will also be at Hazzard Homecoming in Sperryville VA on Aug 13-14. See our homepage for other Dukes of Hazzard cast appearances.

  24. Believe it or not, we actually finished a project around here! Our FAQ page has been updated with more Dukes of Hazzard facts. The topics were taken from the scores of email questions we've received over the years. We've also thrown in a couple little-known tidbits and included a brief history of DukesFest. This ain't as robust as the tough stuff that runs on the Trivia thread, but it's a good overview of the popular topics. HazzardNet FAQ
