MaryAnne got a reaction from Skipper Duke in James Best - Twilight Zone episode
I have the "Last Rites" episode on a VHS tape somewhere. I've seen "The Grave" too, can't remember if I taped that one or not. I was gonna do a spoof fanfic once using the plot from "Last Rites" and applying it to Rosco. Never got around to writing it tho'. LOL
The Andy Griffith eps are hoot.
"Yessirree, maybe get to be some kind of celebrity, have people runnin' around after ya, wantin' your autograph!"
    "Yeah?"
"Yeah! Be worth learnin' how to write just for that!"

Meter maid? Hmm....I think instead what I'll do is buy those DVD's "Bay City Police Procedures" (otherwise known as S&H), study them and then practice those new methods on some unsuspectin' thug, such as yourself.
Then, assumin' you live, *you* and the rest of yer kind can go to Green Acres. BAHAHAHAHHAHAA!!

    Howdy Ed! Welcome to HNet!
I'm with you, I'm glad that a lot of the old favorites from the 70's and 80's are available either online or on DVD.

MaryAnne got a reaction from Skipper Duke in New users - read first! Please. LOL
    Howdy folks!
MaryAnne here with some general guidelines for y'all on registering to use our forums. In the past the registration process has never been an issue, but as of late we here at HNet have noticed an increased amount of bounced emails from newly registered users and some long existing users. Granted, some of the bounced emails come from the spammers who try to join up and we're pretty diligent in stopping them and removing their accounts. However, we want to make sure that the folks out there who really want to use this board register correctly so they can use this board.
Given this is a public forum board, you might be wondering when the heck an email message would come into play. Well, there's a few times when an email message would come into play.
    1. When you first register to use the forum, you will receive a confirmation email with your user name and password.
    2. Once your account has been activated, you will recieve an email notification.
    3. If you select to be notified of new private messages, you will receive an email notification of such.
    4. If you chose to "watch" a topic, you will receive an email notifying you of new posts to that topic.
Needless to say, when an email address turns out to be junk, the HNet Moderator's inboxes get filled with a lot "Mail Delivery Failure" notices. LOL
So...with that in mind please note the following:
    1. You must sign up with a legtimate email address.
Not only should your email be legit, you should make sure to enter it in correctly when you sign up. We have no way of knowing if the email is legit but spelled incorrectly when the message bounces back to us.
Please note, also, that putting "www" infront of your email will cause messages to bounce and your account will not be activated. Do not put "www" infront of your email address.
Any messages that bounce back to us from new users, the account will not be activated. To use your account you will have to email us through the feedback form and provide a legtimate email address. At that point we will then activate your account. (And you'll get the message saying it's activated! 8) )
    2. Please set your spam settings for your email to recognize and allow the "hazzardnet.com" domain to make it to your inbox. You should also allow for "aol.com" and "yahoo.com". I know of atleast one person who signed up here at the forums, had trouble logging in and emailed us for help but when we emailed her back (from both AOL and Yahoo) our message bounced back saying we were not accepted. Folks...need I explain more? LOL. Help us to help you!
If you change your email address after your account is activated and any messages come bouncing back to us for some reason, your account will be disabled until you shape up. LOL.
Okay, that should just about cover it. Really the email thing is the only issue we're having thus far.
I should also disclose that we do not collect email addresses to give to third parties for marketing purposes or any of that crap, so no worries that we're secretly monitoring any of your email communications. The NSA is probably already doing that.
Thank you for your consideration and welcome to HNet!

Given that Hazzard County itself didn't get to advanced on technology (I still have a hard time with the fax machine at the farm in the first reunion movie! LOL) I think HNet should not advance any further than it has.
Of course, I more or less feel that way because I have enough trouble with technology as it is!! GAAAHH!! 8)

Well, I must say I'm dubiously honored by this....dubious honor. Khee! Seriously tho', thank you. I think. Heh heh! As for those shiny buttons.....I can't help it. I'm drawn to them, inexplicably. They're purty ya know. All shiney and sparkly. They call to me.....MaryAnne! MaryAnne! And I'm drawn in. Ooo...what's dis button do? *click* Oops. *KERBLAMO!*
Let's face it, I have some tough expectations to live up to being a Coltrane. Accidentally blowing stuff to smithereens is practically a fine art. I think I'm almost a master. Khee! Falling asleep at the dinner table is my newest talent.
    Seriously tho'....Thanks, y'all.

I wanted to add to what Mufn said about the avatars....at one point when I posted that using avatars was available on the old board, I asked nicely for folks to keep the pics to a smaller size. I was pretty much ignored. LOL With so many members on this board, there was no way I could individualy PM each person who had larger avatars and ask them to please reduce the size. Plus, I had a feeling, and as Enos Fan described from other board admin experience, I would be ignored further or would upset somebody.
Anyway! I'm liking this new board software. Especially in keeping out the junk sign ups and spammers. More often then not we would get around 10 to 15 new sign ups per day on the old board and all of them I would have to go in and check individually and then delete and then ban email addresses and what not. At one point we were totally bombed with junk registrations with somebody using the hotmail email. There must've been close to 50 sign ups within a two day period. I ended up having ban ALL hotmail email addresses because of it.
The less amount of time I have to spend policing, the more I can spend playing. I'm all for that. Khee!
Now, Brian said something about editin' my posts. ROFL. I did find a pic attached to one of them. Wonder if he edited any others. Hmmmm.....

MaryAnne got a reaction from Skipper Duke in Favorite funny moments
Oh man...True. LOL And pretty funny. ROFL
One of my favorite funny moments is from (I think) "The Meeting." During the big chase scene around town and what not, when they all come back to the courthouse, Rosco an' Boss come flying in in Rosco's patrol car. When Rosco hits the curb, his car literally shatters apart. ROLFMAO.
I used to have the screen cap as my signature picture along with Rosco's reply to Boss after Boss starts yellin' at him about wrecking the car: "Well I hit it, didn't I?!"
Then a couple lines after that he says "I guess their gonna cancel my insurance now!"
Cracks me up EVERYTIME. I'm laughing now as I type this. KHEE!

Indeed. And with that pact (and the fact that I'm no good at carbon dating) I won't reveal Brian's actual age.
It's easier for both of us to just say (and stay) 21.

    Welcome to HNet Lady Amanda.
Well, if'n I recall correctly, the car Coy n' Vance arrived in Hazzard in was a blue Plymouth Roadrunner (similar to Daisy's first car...a '74). I seem to think the car had a white stripe running over the hood and roof.
That car was toasted for lunch by the mean green machine. LOL
