I saw a commercial tonight for The Walking Dead. It was about fans coming together and becoming friends over the show. One of the fans said something along the lines of  "I've created a family out of a tv show." Well, Dukes fans have been doing that for FORTY years! I know I'm not around here as often, but you all have helped me through some tough times. You're my Dukes family.

Well said cousin. Being here has been an amazing experience and always feels like family. When you get together for family reunions the only thing that everybody has in common is that they are related by blood or marriage. Here we have something better than DNA in common. We have the love of jumping an old clunker car over a creek with a corrupt but lovable sheriff behind us shouting "Hot pursuit!. I love it. I love it. Khee Khee!". I can think of nothing better or more meaningful than that to bring a bunch of people from all over the world together. Khee Khee. Thanks for making that happen MM!

I'll second that!, when I first discovered the Dukes of Hazzard it had been off the air for a good thirty-five years or so, I lived (and still do live) in a small, almost forgotten town in the middle of the UK, and I thought I was the only Dukes fan left in the world, fast forward seven years and I discover that I'm not the only fan left! Thanks MM for allowing me to be in a family I never knew existed

You heard it?! You heard it too?! LOL. Yep, I certainly heard J.P. Hogg. Makes ya wonder if Sorrell just misspoke, there was typo in the script, or Boss just wishes he was as rich as J.P. Morgan. LOL!

Seems a lot of Hazzardites have been hit with health problems this year. Here's hoping everyone has a happy, healthy holiday season and much healthier 2020.

Thanks. In other news, it was his 7th Gotcha Day yesterday and he got special puppy cake (I ordered cake mix on Amazon, made specifically for dogs). It was a good day.

"I've worked seven days a week, 80 hours a week, at least since 1978."
I have no doubt he works hard, but I am willing to call BS on this statement. That is hard to keep up for 40 years. And acting is not a very consistent gig. Should have had insurance on the studio. He's been divorced twice. One would think he would have had a pre-nup the second time. In his defense though, it sounds like his wife is responsible for a lot of his fortune disappearing in the first place. (https://theblast.com/john-schneider-financial-problems/)
"Schneider also lays some of the blame for his financial hardship on Elvira. He claims when she filed for divorce in 2014, she also withdrew $200,000 from their joint account and transferred it to a separate account without his consent. He also claims Elvira “never attempted to work or even find work” during their marriage. Schneider also claims she ran up $15,000 per month on their American Express and put them both “in severe debt to commercial institutions, the IRS and the state government.""

I'm more of an Emma Tisdale guy myself. Does anybody have any pictures of her dressed in Amish clothes? Don't tell my wife I'm looking.

I'm sure you've heard me say this before but if you have a bunch of bad luck that means that you are due for a bunch of good luck. I hope it starts coming your way soon. And if I'm wrong and you don't get good luck soon think about Hobie's words because you sure have a lot of love....here on the HazzardNet.

As Jimmie once said (regarding his dressing trailer on the show), "This place would fall apart if the termites stopped holding hands." LOL. Nah, I think HazzardNet is a little more solid than that.... I hope.

Ok, update is done! That was fast. I *think* the Template core error is fixed. If you see it on any posts, please let me know. I had to revert two old templates. If you find any issues, please post about them here or send me a private message.
Also, I'm working on an update to the look/organization of the main site. It's been 5+ years since I refreshed it. Then, later this summer, hopefully, HossC and I will have a new section of the site to unveil! *tease tease*

I swear, the company that makes the software that runs the forums must watch to see when I update, because a day or two after, they release ANOTHER update. LOL. Maybe I'll get to it this weekend....

I spent yesterday at an astronomy gathering. We call them star parties. There were several great speakers and I enjoyed talking to my fellow amateur astronomers, many of them I only see once a year. It was cloudy so we didn't get to do any observing after it got dark. Shucks.

My mother is from the South. Arkansas to be specific. She grew up there during the pre-Civil Rights era and saw horrible things. As a result, she limited our contact with relatives that she didn't approve of their views on race. She taught her kids to judge people on character, not skin color, and to treat people as we'd want to be treated. She's pretty horrified by how casually people throw around the term "racist" without even knowing a person nowadays. Things have changed a lot and are for the most part better, especially in the South. She's seen real racism. And she let us watch The Dukes of Hazzard.
