I agree with Lori that if you are happy with the weight you are then that's ok, it's just that i'm not. Well done Elly May Duke, what a fantastic weight loss, keep it up. I also try and drink a lot of water, at least 2 litres a day.

I'm with both Garrett and RogerDuke, I think it would be nice to have something on her to support everyone. I'll kick things off then. I have lost 11.5lb to date, but still a very long way to go, really struggling at the moment. I too find it hard to motivate myself to excersise. I've decided to take it half a stone at a time, that way it doesn't seem such a huge task. I find it helps me to go to a class every week, we have Slimming World in the UK, it's fantastic, you can eat as much as you like as long as it is the right type of food. I hate shopping for clothes too. I normally wear baggy stuff to hide all the lumps and bumps, usually black! Your're right though texasdaisy09, if you just start by making small changes to the way you eat, it can have a positive effect on your weight loss.

I know what you mean. I don't understand why waif like models that are size zero are promoted as being acceptable. It is unhealthy and unatractive. What kind of message does this give out, especially to children and teenagers.

I have stuggled with my weight for years and though it might be nice to have a bit of support on the forum. Do you have Slimming World in the USA?

The Dukes reminds me of my childhood, it lets me escape to a more innocent time for a couple of hours. I think we could all learn a few things from The Dukes about basic family values, that the world we live in today seems to have forgotten. And it has The General Lee! Fun and car chases, nobody ever gets really hurt, even the bad guys. There's always a moral to the story and a happy ending. Oh yeah, and Tom Wopat is Hot.
