JHDuke
Hi all, You've probably already noticed but in "High Octane" (the episode I'm watching as I'm writing this) at about 2:27 into the episode when the boys are pulling up to the courthouse the General's grille is damaged, probably because it is the same car used for the famous semi-truck jump at the start of the episode, the noticeable damage is the right headlight hood, which has been forced open, other damage includes the silver "splitter" in the middle of the grille, which has been pushed inwards, that's all I can see in the original footage, it would probably need to be remastered to see more of the damage, anyway that's all from me, 10:4 Joe Edited July 28, 2019 by JHDuke
Hobie Hartkins
Yea, it always amazed me how they could do all the things they did with the General and never need to do any body work and still be able to drive him like nothing ever happened! TV land is a great place! CooterNnancylou and JHDuke

Hobie Hartkins
On the one with Henry Flatt ( " R.I.P. Henry Flatt" ), when Luke was jumping something at the first, when they were trying to get home real fast for supper so Uncle Jesse wouldn't be mad, it actually showed the left fender bending when he landed...!! JHDuke
I recall that 'fender bending' as I like to call it, has happened on a few occasions, can't remember which episode though...
Roth Potter
Yes, theres a few times you can see the car crumple quite bad. I think where you see it the best is the episode with the Cale Yarborough Charger. They show part of the General's flat landing. About the High Octane part. I believe they told the story on the Kibbe and Friends show at one time. I think it was a crash which was unrelated to jumps. I could be totally wrong though. JHDuke
Never heard that story, I always have a quick look for the goofs on TV, but I don't look for them intentionally
