Meadowmufn
I hope all y'all in Sandy's path are ok. If you east coast folk could check in here and let us know you're ok, we'd appreciate it! Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
RogerDuke
We've had a lot of rain, downed branches and wind up here on Lake Erie in NW Pennsylvania but no major damage. We've certainly been lucky compared to other folks. I'm going to have a lot of branches to clean up on my trails but that's a minor problem compared to what other folks are going through. We still have a lot more rain coming but most of the flooding has been minor here and has been in the areas near creeks that are used to it. Meadowmufn
Glad you're ok, Rog. I have a friend in NY whose house is under water! My family and other friends back east weathered the storm just fine with only minor power outages and inconveniences.
RogerDuke
We're not out of the woods yet. It rained all day and is supposed to rain all night and most of the day tomorrow. Flooding is starting to become a problem in the low lying areas. We're fine where we're at but folks near creeks could end up with problems. Still, it's nothing like New Jersey and surrounding areas. The pictures and videos coming out of there are horrific.

Just how scary and horrible it must be for everyone there. Can't even begin to imagine.
JadedPhoenixBurning
I know that there are a lot of churches in my area in NC that are sending 18 wheelers filled with supplies and we have linemen that go to my church that have been sent up to help with the power outages. Here in my part of the east coast we just had rain and wind though some folks at work that drive a ways said they had snow at their houses. Still keeping everyone in prayers that are trying to recover.
RogerDuke
Here we are, Friday night and it still hasn't stopped raining. Flooding has been minimal because the rain is seldom hard. That means the creeks have plenty of time to dump it all into Lake Erie. It sure has been a long time since I've seen sunshine but considering what other folks have been through I shouldn't complain. There's still millions without power and our lights haven't even flickered throughout this whole ordeal.
RogerDuke
I saw an amazing sight today...blue skies. It didn't last long but it was beautiful. I think it's been 9 or 10 days since I've looked up and seen blue.
