artykidd
So I heard this song by the Zac Brown Band for the first time last week and immediately fell in love with it. If there ever was another song that would emmulate the Duke boys, this would be it.You know I like my chicken friedCold beer on a Friday nightA pair of jeans that fit just rightAnd the radio up Well I was raised up beneath the shade of a Georgia pineAnd that`s home you knowSweet tea pecan pie and homemade wineWhere the peaches growAnd my house it`s not much to talk aboutBut it`s filled with love that`s grown in southern groundAnd a little bit of chicken friedCold beer on a Friday nightA pair of jeans that fit just rightAnd the radio upWell I`ve seen the sunriseSee the love in my woman`s eyesFeel the touch of a precious childAnd know a mother`s loveWell its funny how it`s the little things in life that mean the mostNot where you live or the car you drive or the price tag on your clothesThere`s no dollar sign on a piece of mind this I`ve come to knowSo if you agree have a drink with me Raise you glasses for a toastTo a little bit of chicken friedCold beer on a Friday nightA pair of jeans that fit just rightAnd the radio upWell I`ve seen the sunriseSee the love in my woman`s eyesFeel the touch of a precious childAnd know a mother`s loveI thank god for my lifeAnd for the stars and stripesMay freedom forever fly, let it ring.Salute the ones who diedThe ones that give their lives so we don`t have to sacrificeAll the things we loveLike our chicken friedCold beer on a Friday nightA pair of jeans that fit just rightAnd the radio upWell I`ve seen the sunriseSee the love in my woman`s eyesFeel the touch of a precious childAnd know a mother`s love
daisydukeXenosstrait
i heard this song by Carrie Underwood a few months ago and i have the CD and i luv it its call "Before He Cheats"Right now hes probably slow dancin' with a beach blond tramp and shes probably gettin' frisky.Right now hes probably buyin' her some fruity little drink cause she can shoot whiskey.Right now hes probably up behind her with a pool stick showin' her how to shoot a combo. But he dont know that i dug my key into the side of his pretty little suped up four-wheel drive, carved my name into his leather seat, took a Louisville Slugger to both head lights, and slashed a hole in all four tires maybe next time he'll think before he cheats.Right now shes probably up singin' some white-trash version of Shinia karaoke.Right now shes probably sayin' "im drunk" and hes a'thinkin' that hes gonna get lucky.Right now hes probably dabbin' on three dollars worth of that bathroom colonge.Oh, but he dont know that i dug my key into the side of his pretty little suped up four-wheel drive, carved my name into his leather seats, took a Louisville Slugger to both head lights, and slashes a hole in all four tires maybe next time he"ll think before he cheats.Oh i might've saved a little trouble for the next girl because the next time that he cheats oh it wont be on me, oh it wont be on me, no it wont be on me------------------------------------oh no not on me.Last Verse: Because i dug my key into the side of his pretty little suped up four-wheel drive, carved my name into the his leather seat, took a Louisville Slugger to both head lights , and slased a hole in all four tires maybe next time he'll think before he cheats.Bye yall thats it:D

Laura Duke
Hey artykidd,Wow! I LOVE that song! I'm glad that there are others out there who love it as much as I do. And, thanks so much for posting the lyrics, there were times that I didn't know what the lyrics were, and I often butchered them! JESSI, so sorry you don't like the song, you're missing out! RogerDuke
Those lyrics "I like my chicken fried" remind me of the old song "I'm Countryfied". I can't remember who sings it though. Does anybody know?
Redneck girl 01
I really like the song Chicken Fried...hmm nows its gonna be stuck in my head the rest of the day for school...lol....anyways RogerDuke I got thre different versions of a song called I'm Countrified/Countrified...and 3 artist. Halfway to Hazard and Clay Walker have the same verson...I think Jeffrey Steele has his own I dont quite remember. Then I think the one that you are talking about is the verson that John Anderson sings. I'll get the lyrics in a minute to see if thats it. Redneck girl 01
CountrifiedBy John AndersonIntro: I like pretty lights and city nightsAnd pretty city women to hold me tightBut that won't change my country sideIâm proud to tell you that I'm so countrifiedIâm in to cavier and long shiny carsSeeing the stars in the big city barsBut I take all these things in strideDeep down inside Iâm so countrifiedChorus:Well I love my grits I love my greensCountry motel and those sweet southern bellsI like fried chicken like a country boy shouldAnd every thing thatâs finger licking goodI like to get loud and dance in a crowdGo out to places where jeans are aloudSo I can feel my country sideIâm proud to tell you Iâm so countrifiedRepeat chorus:
