artykidd
I am a Jewel fan and I think she'll do well in the country music setting, and for that matter so will Jessica Simpson (dodges rotten tomatoes) but I don't really care for Jewel's song 'I do.' Don't know why really, it just isn't one that I like to listen to. As far as songs that reflect the Duke Boys, I'm going with the Zac Brown Band and their song, "I like my chicken fried." RogerDuke
I think about Hazzard every time I hear the song "Holler Back"
artykidd
I like Holler Back also but the music video sucks. BIG TIME. Just the guys singing infront of a building/office park? How about some 'city slickers' running down an alley, trying to keep from being mugged (or maybe some idiots trying to act like a really tough crew who get trapped in an alley) and they fall through the brick wall into a camp area with bon fires, marshmallows and get led on a snipe hunt. Now that would be funny.

daisydukeXenosstrait
When i listend to "Just Lookin' for a Good Time" by Lady Antebellum on CMT imagined the part where they say "doin' this 9 to 5 girl your just the one to get it off my mind, you shouldnt have wore that dress and u shouldnt move like that" i thought of Enos thinking that about Daisy
Redneck girl 01
Gosh Dern...I see Roger beat me to postin 'Holler Back' by the Lost Trailers. N I also agree the video stinks, and arty kidd the snipe huntin and bonfires would be funny...my kind of video...haha...anyways a song that reminds me of hazzard is "I Can Sleep When Im Dead' By Jason Micheal Caroll...ain't sure why it just does. artykidd
I think "Red Neck Yacht Club" also brings up connotations and visions of the Dukes. While I don't ever remember seeing a house boat anywhere on the farm or in the yard, the verse of passing around a jar and a guitar definitly says Duke. daisydukeXenosstrait
another song that reminds me of Daisy and Enos is Chuck Wicks new song called "All I Ever Wanted"

RogerDuke
Redneck Girl, the title of that song reminds me of the song "Louisiana Saturday Night". I think it's by Mel McDaniel. It's a great redneck song. (Of course, I naturally love any song that mentions a "possum in a sack")
artykidd
"there's a tear in my beer'Cause I'm crying for ya' dear"I really like some of Hank Jr.'s songs. I can just see one of the boys or poor old Cooter in the corner of the Boar's Nest nursing a broken heart.

RogerDuke
The best thing I like about the song "Redneck Woman" is that she mentions Charlie Daniels and Hank Jr. Any song that mentions those two guys is okay in my book. I only wish that Rosco would have caught those two rednecks in his celebrity speedtrap. It would have been awesome to see them on Dukes. CrazyHanzo
Some great songs out there. A more obscure one I heard was "Carrying on Like We Did Before". Sung by Tom and John, I believe for the reunion movie so I guess it should remind on of the Dukes. Short and simple but I always liked it.Matt
artykidd
Is there anyone else out there that is in love with the song "I'm so Lonesome I could Cry" or am I the only one?I really like Gretchen Wilson. She seems to be the female version of Hank Jr. and a little more gritty and real than some of the more 'girlie' singers out right now. RogerDuke
I have that song on my Hank Williams Sr. Greatest Hits CD. It might possibly be the saddest song ever written. I guess because it's so sad I can't really say I'm in love with it but I think it's a great song that can help people through tough times. When you're hurting that bad, it's always nice to know that there's someone out there who knows how you feel.
daisydukeXenosstrait
two other songs remind me of Hazzard and the Dukes "Chattahochee" - Alan Jackson (i cant spell worth a heck) and "Hick Town" - Jason Aldean
