Skipper Duke Posted yesterday at 02:37 AM Posted yesterday at 02:37 AM I love this. From the album Chip Munks Go Hollywood. Waylon Jennings Good Ol' Boys. Chip Munks:"Just the good ol' boys Never meanin' no harm Beats all you never saw Been in trouble with the law Since the day they were born Straghtin' the curves yeah Flatnin' the hills Some day the mountain get 'em But the law never will Makin' their way the only way they know how Life's just a little bit more than the law will allow woo" Individual spoken lines:"Hey. Let's take the General Lee fer a spin." "Dave said "No driving, Alvin." "Dave won't be back fer hours. Come on!" ๐ย ย Sound of a car turning over but won't start up. "Don't flood it Alvin! You're killing the battery." ๐ย "Awe shucks, we'll try it later!" ๐ย "Makin' their way the only way they know how yeah Life's just a little bit more than the law will allow I'm a good ol' boy I know that David loves me But he don't understand I can't wait anymore To take a spin in the Lee haha" "Hop in boys." ๐ย "I don't know Alvin. Dave's gonna kill us." ๐ย "Here come the Chips of Hazzard!" โค๏ธย "Look out Alvin, it's Dave!" ๐ย Dave:"ALVIN!!" ๐ย "Boy, are you in trouble Alvin." ๐ย "Theodore, would you change places with me?" ๐ย They cleverly changed some lines such as "I'm a good ol' boy Ya know my mama loves me But she don't understand They keep showin' my hands Not my face on TV" They changed to "I'm a good ol' boy I know that David loves me But he don't understand I can't wait anymore To take a spin in the Lee haha" RogerDuke 1 Quote

They're not the only ones who changed the lines - I spotted at least three mistakes in yours. Please check your lyrics before posting, just like we've asked with your quotes. I Googled the lyrics to save having to retype them, and had to go to the second results page before I found the fully correct words. With so many wrong versions around, it'd be good if HazzardNet had them right. Just the good ol' boys Never meanin' no harm Beats all you never saw Been in trouble with the law Since the day they was born Staightnin' the curves (yeah) Flatnin' the hills Someday the mountain might get 'em But the law never will Makin' their way The only way they know how That's just a little bit more Than the law will allow (woo) Here's a video of the Alvin and the Chipmunks cover. ย RogerDuke and Skipper Duke 1 1 Quote

Waylon Albright Jennings, nicknamed Shooter who's middle name came from Waylon's Waylors band member Ritchie Albright who played the drums in The Waylors, he told me in a Q & A session "The correct lyric of his dad's song is Life's just a little bit more than the law will allow and it's Just two good ol' boys never meanin' no harm and Just two good ol' boys wouldn't change if they could". But it sounds like "That's just a little bit more than the law will allow and Just a or the good ol' boys never meanin' no harm and Just a or the good ol' boys wouldn't change if they could. Just a or Just the, and That's just a little bit more than the law will allow us what I was always hearing. Shooter corrected me when I asked him in his Live Q & A session. However, Waylon I've seen sing it both ways in concert footage. In the TV series and on CD, Radio, 8Track, Cassette etc due to Waylon's accent it it spoken as "Just t' the good ol' boys" and sounds like "That's just a little bit more than the law will allow" Edited 2 hours ago by Skipper Duke Forgot to include some information.
