July 13, 200521 yr Author I think that's why they are doing the eBay sale. To see how much it would go for. Why would they sell LEE #1 after finding it only 3 years ago? I think it's to appraise the ultimate Dukes of Hazzard collector's item. Just my guess though and I'm know to be wrong...

July 13, 200521 yr The current owners aren't the people who found it. The problem with owning such a car is that you take a major financial hit when you buy it, and all you can ever do with it is drag it around to shows so that people can see it. As cool as it is, it's still a burden on the owner.

September 13, 200520 yr Ol' General looks good for his age. If the car was still on sale, I'd buy it, and save to death to repair it! Wonder who owns it now. I'd give my left nut for it!
September 14, 200520 yr Burden or not, I'd love to have that car. Maybe I should take a trip to LA and dig up some of the Generals burried in the river they always jumped.
July 13, 200620 yr They found it in Georgia. The car is currently being restored by it's current owner. It will make its debut fully restored in November in Georgia.
