  1. (Sorry for stepping on you MA but I got a great lil' sorry I'd like to tell you about this whole ordeal sometimes when your not busy. ) Meanwhile at the other end of town, the same end that Jericho and his men had ridden into only a short time ago, three more riders trudged in on fresh mounts. The three men darkly dressed an ridding healthy, lean looking horses. The trio, made up of three rough, trail weary looking mean, the first a light brown haired fellow dressed in light brown buckskins from head to toe, his mount a stocky chocolate brown stallion. The second man ridding directly to the right man on the chocolate colored horse rode astride a thinly built Palomino, the tall dark rider dress in a thigh length coat, dark pants and sporting a mustache. An third an last rider rode to the rear of the other two, a short man ridding a grey mare and sporting a mustache as well, dressed solemnly in a maroon colored shirt, his chest crisscrossed in gun belts an loaded heavily with shells. “Whats the plan Lowell, Jericho and the other a hold up in the jail with the Sheriff, his deputy and those two farm boys.†The man ridding the Palomino spoke low near a whisper jogging his horse up beside the brown horse, the man ridding the grey did the same eager to hear his comrades plan of action. “Well....†The buckskin dressed outlaw gazed around. “Were gonna have to be quick about this, we have enough fire power between my shot gun an four .45's, your two .38s’s Scott and Rick’s......specialties....we have more then enough to go into the jail an turn the tables on them. Then we make a break for it, Scott you go down to the liver right after we get out of the Sheriff’s station, saddle Red and bring him to the back of the Doctors place, we’ll meet you there with Chet.†Lowell looked at his two men. “Alright, I your lucky that ornery cuss of horse flesh knows me.†Scott the taller guy on the Palomino replied with a nod. Rick, the heavily armed man on the grey gave a toothy smile and proceeded to load his shot gun, the three rode up to the hitching post, dismounted and tied there mounts. They walked lengthily up to the doors of the Sheriff’s station, drew as many guns as they could handle and Lowell in the lead gave the door a swift kicked sending it open with brute force. “ALRIGHT NO BODY MOVES......HANDS IN THE AIR.....NOW!†All guns pointed there attention on the sheriff, his deputy, an the two fellas holding Jericho and his boys. “Let them fellas go, real slow like.†Rick said to Bo an Luke, his double barrel shot gun pointed at the blonde haired Duke boys head. Bo and Luke raised there hands high and stepped away from the three men that they had bound and tied. “Its about damned time Lowell!†Jericho said stepping over his buckskin dressed comrade. Lowell quickly cut the three loose and returned there guns to them, snatching Bo and Luke’s guns from there holsters in the process. The two others, Rick and Scott releaved the sheriff and his pretty female deputy from there guns as well. “Alright Sheriff hand over the keys to that cell.....an you!†Lowell pointed his .45 at Alex and stepped towards him. “Back up to that wall.†He barked angrily at the blonde slick. Hesitantly Rosco picked the keys up off his desk an tossed them to the six outlaws, Lowell went over to the cell an opened it. One by one the Sheriff, his deputy and the two Duke boys, Bo and Luke were carefully shuffled into the jail cell with Alex. When all were securely inside the door was slammed shut and locked, Lowell pocketed the keys and turned away. “Go do what I told you Scott.....we’ll get our hell-boy and meet ya were I told ya.â€With that the six outlaws filed out. Jericho turned to the cell full of people for a moment and tipped his hat at the Sheriff. “Happy Trails Sheriff.†An he smiled. (Cue Anyone.)
  2. “Ouch!†Chet said as the strawberry blond haired deputies finger nails racked his face. “That hurt.†It was over an instant after that, Chet’s strength over powered the small women and the side of the gun collided with the side of her face. He hated to hit her like that but he feared for his own sake and hers. If the gun even accidently went off it could have spelt fatal injuries, an he hadn’t intended on harming the Chickasaw County deputy, she just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Hell she hadn’t even been part of the plan, she wasn’t even on there list of plans an hostages. Chet opened the drivers door and picked the women up in his arms as gently as he could, careful not to bump her against the steering wheel. He carried her to the rear of the police car an opened a door to the back seats. For a moment he stared at her, looking at her pretty face and gentle features, brushing a lock of hair out of her face he swallowed feeling some heat crawl up his neck. She was pretty, down right pretty, too bad she had to be a deputy. Just the same his mismatched eyes stayed locked on her for a long moment an he smiled to himself, how had he over looked her in the past. Still grinning to himself Chet shook the thoughts from his head and laid the red head in the back seat of the patrol car and shut the door. In a few short moments he was driving back towards the court house where, Garrett, Razor and Ethan were waiting for his return. (Cue anyone.)
  3. The pain was too bad to sleep anymore, so Chet lay awake, his fingers laced in the fingers of Brandie who was now dozing in the chair next to him. Dr. Applebee had given him all the medication he could, it was just a waiting game now. So with that in mind the young Duke boy allowed his mind to wander, an wonder about the events of the last couple of days. He wondered what people would think if they really knew why he had done what he did, what if they knew why he had stolen the horses and why he had acted so meanly towards everyone. Other then the obvious reasons of course, to save his own neck, to get his cut of the wage that the animals would bring and just plan because he couldn’t help his temper, he had always been that way. But now there was an explanation for it, a good one and one that he could not share, not even to save him from death. The rule of the game said that he could not tell, but now none of that mattered, he had finally plundered himself into his own grave and now there was nothing left to do but make his piece with whoever lay up there in the heavens.... Meanwhile at the edge of town three riders had begun to make there way down the main street, there three horses coats heavily soaked in sweat from there long ride. The three riders rode in a triangle form, the first man sat tall in the saddle his eyes glancing over the details of the town, clearly he was the a pointed leader of the three. The two other men rode behind him, side by side, the trios clothing nearly the same except in color. Each man wore a long duster, a faded shirt of there choice , a pair of denim pants or chaps, and under it all lay a tied down set of Colt .45's. One of the three ridding a black and white pinto whispered to his leader in a low voice, his eyes weary an wide as they looked around in caution. “Jericho....how the hell are we going to find Chet in all this mess?†The lead man ridding a drafty bay glanced over his shoulder at the man sitting on the pinto and spoke in the same low voice. “I don’t know Zed, Ashtin said that he had survived his wounds.†The man sitting on Jericho’s other side ridding a Palomino Saddle bred chimed in with a sarcastic catch in his voice. “An what if Ashtin was wrong? What if all we came here for is that ornery plow boys cold ass and that dumb red horse of his?†Skud the man on the Palomino said in disgust. “Dead or alive...†Jericho began. “If Samson and his men get there hands on those remaining horses and the loot in Chet’s saddle bags, you can kiss this cosey little town’s ass goodbye.†A sign hanging over a well weathered building caught Jericho’s eye and he rode his bay up to the hitching rail and dismounted. “Lets get us a drink and see what information we can get outta anyone in here. Chet’s got kin in this town, theres bound to be someone who knows where he is.†(Cue Garrett.)
  4. Thats a good question! One that I for one dont have an answer to, sorry. But your right why wasnt Tom there? He was as much part of it all as the rest. How the hell did you get that picture pasted into the post you made? I have been on Hazzardnet a long time, i been writing here for years and I have never seen a picture posted like that. However you did it, cool.
  5. Hmmmm....now let me see who could it be.
  6. Day light came with the begging of the next morning, Doc. Applebee stood beside his young patients bed waiting to see if the Duke boy was going to awaken with the dawn. He placed a gentle aged hand on Chet’s forehead to feel the heat of his temperature, the fever still plagued him but it had gone down considerably. The Doctor wiped a wet wash cloth over Chet’s face and spoke to the young man urging him to awake and open his eyes if he could. “Come on young fella, wake up. Come on.....Chet, open your eyes if you can son.†Doc. Applebee squeezed the Duke boys shoulder further urging him. Brandi sat beside the bed watching the doctor try and wake her friend, he had squeezed her had many times through out the evening hours and at one point he had open his eyes and glanced around. He passed out moments later an hadn’t stirred since, but now it was critical that he awake so that the doctor could get him to drink some water and take some ladanum for the intense pain in his abdomen. As the cold water of the wash cloth touched Chet’s face he wrinkled his brow and his eyes darted back an forth under his eye lids. He began to move his legs an bend them under the pure white sheet that cover him, his hand tightened around Brandi’s and then released. Chet brought his left hand up to rub his face incoherently an turned his head from side to side. Suddenly he half sat up, his eyes shot open and he yelped in pain as his mid section bent with the movement. He trembled in pain and struggled unsure of where he was an who he was with. Quickly the doctor pressed Chet down by his shoulders and held him there speaking to him kindly to calm him down. “Easy there son, easy....calm down, your alright. Lay still....just take it easy, we can’t have you pulling those stitches out.†Doc. Applebee spoke in a soothing voice assuring the young Duke that he was alright. Chet glanced around, blinking his eyes to clear them of the blur, he looked at Brandi and squeezed her hand. The pain wailed up in his side and he put his hand over the wirery stitches in his abdomen, it all came back to him, the black clad stranger and the blonde haired stranger. All the events that had gone over the last few says of his life.
  7. Surgery on the young Duke boy was long and tiring, Doc. Applebee worked long and hard to save the boy from a painful death. Chet was lucky to be young and strong, it would help him in the long run if he managed to survive the surgery. “Well that’s about it Nancy.†The Doctor spoke to his nurse still holding the Ether soaked cloth over there young patients nose and mouth. “That’s all I can do for this young man, its in the Lords hands now.†His Nurse only nodded and drew the cloth away from Chet’s face so that he could return to consciousness if he was able. Doc. Applebee placed his tools in his tray of alcohol and wiped his hands on a towel. He carefully wiped away the access blood left behind, the wound was successfully closed and the internal bleeding stopped, now only time would tell if he would live. The Doctor cover Chet up, tucking the sheet and a blanket under his arms. “Nancy, tell that girl that came in with him that she can come in and see him and sit with him if she wishes, but she has to stay calm and quiet.†The Doctor instructed. Brandie followed the nurse in and sat down by Chet’s bed, holding in her tears for his sake. By late evening a high fever was scolding Chet’s body an he was boldly fighting it and the pain that cursed him. The Doctor checked on him often and Brandie stayed with him all through the night. “If he survives the night and the fever breaks, he should be out of the woods as long as infection doesn’t set in.†Dr. Applebee said at 2:00 AM.
  8. Scavengers began to circle in the sky over the dead bodies, an the body of a young black haired Duke boy fighting for his life. The town Sheriff and his deputy approached the brutal scene and paused placing his hands on his hips as his deep blue eyes glanced around. He made his way through the mingling crowd an came up to the young Duke boy and the pretty girl sitting with his head in her lap. Rosco looked at Brandie, her face was tear reddened, her hands and apron stained freshly with the young Duke’s blood. The Sheriff looked at Chet and shook his head as he knelt down beside him and the girl. “Is he alive?†Rosco asked sincerely. “Yes.....†Brandie replied through her tears and choked voice, she hugged Chet tighter. “Please Sheriff....†She pleaded more tears washing over her face. “Please help him....†Grimly Rosco pulled her blood smeared hand from the wound in Chet’s abdomen, he sucked air in through his teeth and frowned more deeply. It was bad....real bad. The old Sheriff turned to his deputy and shouted at the man. “Enos! Run...get the doctor.†Rosco paused looking over the mingling crowd around them. He pointed at two good sized cowboys and ordered them. “You two, carry this boy over to Dr. Applebees office. “ Rosco instructed with much authority. The two men did as they were told, one man lifted Chet under the arms and the other picked up his feet. Together they carried him across the main street an into the Doctors office, who with warning from Enos was prepared. They laid Chet down on a exam table, the Doctors well aged nurse began to strip Chet of his clothing and sent Brandie out of the room. There was no reason for the young girl to be in there, doing nothing but crying and fussing over the wounded cowboy. The Doctor came in and immediately began to accesses the boys wound, the bullet had gone all the way through, it had entered just to the left of his belly button and exited low to the left of his back bone. Applebee shook his head in distaste, Chet was losing blood fast an immediate surgery would be the only way to prevent him from bleeding to death. “Prepare him for surgery, make sure his entire back and stomach is cleaned with alcohol and take the rest of his clothes off. He can’t afford any infection if he survives this, I’ll get my tools.†Dr. Applebee kindly instructed as he stepped into another room. He gathered the things he would need to preform surgery on the young Duke boy. He took care in seeing to it that each and every one of his instruments were carefully boiled and soaked in alcohol before each use to prevent infection. Often it wasn’t the wound that killed, it was the infection caused by the wound. When he returned to the exam table his nurse had done exactly what he had asked, his patient lay covered by a sheet up to his waist, his back and stomach completely clean, and she held a fresh cloth over his wound. Her other hand pressed a small Ether soaked cloth over his nose and mouth to bring him under for surgery. Meanwhile Brandie sat out side on the boardwalk, her face burried in the stage maters shoulder as she cried. Rosco had gone on to take care of business, but said he would stop back soon to check on the young man.
  9. (Im sorry to cut in, but i have waited all day to post this and i dont know how long i will be around this evening. Im also rather far behind.) At last possible moment Chet looked up at Alex just as he leveled his gun, but it was too late, Alex fired the shot and the lead bit into his stomach. He cried out in pain as the hot lead bore itself deep into his flesh, reflectively he curled onto his side pressing his hand over his wound. His eyes squinted shut tight and he ground his teeth down hard withering in the deep pain racking his body. There was nothing worse then being gut shot, it was a wound well known for almost always being fatal. The world around him became a blur an his mind retreated in attempt to bare the pain. The stage masters daughter dashed around the corner, she had herd the rumble of the horses an then the numerous gun shots. She ran into the main street an made her way through the mingling crowd that was quickly surrounding the scene of the gunfight. “What’s going on? What has happened?†Brandie said as she burst through the crowd. Her voice caught in her throat an she cried covering her mouth at the site of Chet laying on the ground, sprawled on his side. Blood soaked the back of his duster dripping onto the ground steadily were he lay in the dirt with his back towards her. His breath so shallow that his bruised and battered ribs meekly rouse with each gasping breath he took. “No! No!†She cried shaking her head in disbelief. Tears streamed down her cheeks, hesitantly she knelt down beside him and rolled him onto his back tenderly taking his head into her lap. Her eyes landed on his hand clutching his wound, the blood seeping steadily through his fingers, she shuddered at the severity of the wound. Barely conscious Chet laid his head back into her lap unable to keep it from lolling back and forth. His mismatched eyes gazed at her open only a slit an weak looking, he blinked an swallowed acknowledging her. “Brandie...†Chet’s voice withered in a wave of pain an squinted his eyes shut. “Shhhhh....shhhhh....don’t speak....†Her tears washed over her face an she nearly choked on her words. Brandie hugged Chet around his head with one arm an she pressed his duster back with her free hand, she pried his hand away from the wound and pealed his blood soaked sky blue shirt away. More blood poured down his side, she cried harder at site of it an frantically pressed the side of her apron over the wound. “Somebody get a Doctor! Please!.....Please....†Brandie cried out hugging Chet close to her. “Hold on Todd.....just hold on.â€
  10. (Oh, I've got something to say, I asure you. Dont ever say I disapointed ya'll. ~Chet) Although his knees felt weak Chet forced himself to stand on his own two feet with the noose around his neck. His eyes were low and he licked his lips, they were dry, cracked and caked with dirt, he spit on the ground an tugged at the bandanna around his hands. His back stayed straight and strong despite the fact that he knew he was going to die. “You will never be a true outlaw!...Neither of you!†He snarled and spat on the ground again an raised his mismatched eyes to glare at the duo. “Your nothing but sniveling coward, outlaw wanna-bees. In cahoots with the local law....†Chet cleared his throat. Chet gave a low whistle an waited, Red perked his ear by the hitching rail and jogged down the main street towards his owner. He came up to Brian, Alex an Damascus an pinned his ears, snorting an baring his teeth at the three and he pawed the ground. Suddenly the ground beneath there feet began to rumble an shake as if an earth quake was about to shadow the earth. From the end of the main street people screamed and scattered fearfully as a huge herd of horses galloped there way down the main street heading right for the tree that Chet was about to swing from. A rifle shot echoed through the street and a gang of 5 riders appeared chasing the band of enraged horses, an one on a roof top nearby. The roped around Chet’s neck went slack and he crumbled to his knees reaching for his hidden hunting knife under his chaps as the 5 riders rode closer. They forced the wild horses down the main street an drove them down on Brian an Alex, the 5 riders faces concealed by red bandanna’s.
  11. A steady trickle of blood ran down out of Chet Dukes back hair, his head hatless an his mismatched eyes revealed to the world. He was dragged to his feet half conscious after the blow to the by the whiskey bottle, his feet stumbled an he felt weak for a few minutes then he quickly regained his composure. Furiously he hissed at Alex an snarled as the blond man grabbed him by the scruff of his neck non too gently. Somehow someway he would find a chance of escape, but in the mean time he would make it a chore for these to slicks to drag him to the sheriffs jail. His first attempted of struggle was not at all friendly. With a fierce glare at Brian he stopped abruptly an planted his left foot firmly on the ground and raised his right foot bending his knee. He didn’t care about the gun jammed into his back, his chances of living were slim anyway. With all the strength that he possessed in his right leg he struck Alex in the knee cap with the spur on the back of his boot driving the gold hard steel into the flesh. “Hmmmmph! Im not convinced†Chet snarled an stepped to the side striking out at Brian’s knee with his heavy boot.
  12. The choices began to weigh on his mind, stay there an face sheer death without question. Or drop his weapons and take a chance that in time a cahnce to escape before he hung would show itself. A deep sigh came from the young Dukes throat and he set his guns on the floor and removed his black stetson, he was going to do something he hadn't done since he had left home. He sat up on his knees and clapped his hands together in prayer, bowing his head in hopes that somehow there would be mercy on him for what he had done. After his silent prayer was over he picked his guns back up and slid them over the bar in surrender. Then he removed another gun from his other shoulder holster, slid that one acrossed the bar. with that he took the other two .45 that were jammed in his back waist band and surrended the last of his weapons over the bar. With a final plea he whispered before his reply an complete surrender to the black Clad and the blond. "God have mercy on me...." He swallowed and readied himself. "Thats it thats all of them....you want my huntin knife too?"
  13. The young dark haired Duke tucked his hat down on his head tighter and readied his grip on his guns. He herd what they said, if they both came from a side they may very well have a chance of getting him, but not before he wounded or killed one of them. "No agreement huh? Thats too bad, looks like I'm gonna have to kill this tender and anyone else who gets in my eye shot." Chet paused, this was crazy, over a bunch of race horses..... "Can't we take this else where?" Chet straightened his back against the wall and listened closely, if they came at him from each side, his right ear would hear one and his left eye would see the other. He didnt have to see them completely to shot, all he needed was a clue of exactly where they were.
  14. It was like someone blew the whistle on the steam engine and woke Chet up from a sleep so deep he could have been considered the next Rip Van Winkle. He looked from Alex to Brian, and from Brian to Alex. These two fools were doing nothing but enjoying the site of him squirming and cowering right before there very eyes. Did they have no honor or dignity among a fellow outlaw? They defiantly weren’t citizens of the town, in that case what the hell kind of outlaws were they? Chet glared! What the hell was up with these guys, it made no sense at all. A pair of gun slicks turning in another gun slick for the likes of a meager bounty, when all they had to do was rob a bank an triple the price of the lowly bounty! Why go through all this trouble? Defiantly wasn’t for there health, messing with a outlaw such as himself was no game of poker even with a straight hand or a flush, the chances were too steep for that kind of half ass pay. Chet lowered his eyes again, but this time instead of frowning, his wild eyed half smile crossed his face an it more often then not spelt trouble. A plan was forming in his head, an the racing of his heart had changed its tune from a fear filled gallop to an adrenaline rush of crow hops. It was one risky plan, an to a degree a stupid plan but it was better then standing there between two half ass outlaw wanna-bees. On top of it they were in cahoots with the law...good lord. Chet shook his head, how low were these slicks willing to stoop. The bartender set two heavy glass beer mugs filled to the top with cold golden beer on the bar for one of the saloon girls to pick up an take to a near by table. Chet eyed the glasses for a moment, still keeping his wild expression low on the bar counter as his right hand sought the handle of one of the cups an his left did the same as though he were gonna take a sip of each. With a furious, shrill shout of sudden effort he raised both glasses in lightening speed swinging both his arms out so that the heavy glass mugs connected with the side of each of his captures heads. He felt the glasses shatter as they made contact an he released them. With a mighty grunt of effort he dove over the bar counter before him an hauled himself over the other side, Chet came down on the wooden planked floor on the other side of the bar with a hard thud and the sound of shattering glass. Quickly he scrambled to his knees and drew his .45 from his holster on his hip an another one from a hidden shoulder holster under his long duster. Chet breathed like he had run a mile an his heart raced as he hurriedly leaned his back against the wall behind the bar counter giving him a wide range of view an the protection of the counter in front of him. A gun in each hand, he drew back the hammer on each an waited, calming his breath so that he could hear the gun slicks movements. “You two aint taking me to the law while I’m still breathing!†He paused to listen for a moment, his voice deep. “ So we either come to some kind of agreement....or a lot of innocent people are about to get hurt.†Again he paused his voice to turn his left hand gun on the bartender who stood near by frozen in shock. “Starting with this fine bartender!†The depth of Chets voice was serious, this was no threat, it was a promise. (Cue Alex or Brian.)
  15. As the good Doctor watched over Riddick patiently she waited, if something was going to happen she would be the first to know. Time passed over head slowly, as if every minute was a hour long. Eventually a half hour passed, it was then that the powerful Hemogensis began to take its effect upon Riddick’s muscular body. Sweat began to bead on his forehead an run down his face, his bandaged chest an the sheets surrounding him an half covering him quickly became literally soaked in his sweat as his temperature raised to a dangerous height. The machine monitoring his heart rate began to beep faster an faster steadily increasing its rhythm. The sound of his breathing through the tube down his throat also began to quicken as he demanded more air at a higher rate of speed. A moan escaped his throat an his head lolled from side to side an he began to tremble, his muscles twitching as he struggled to make his body move. Although his vital signs continued to rise threatening to go into a lethally dangerous height. (Cue Chance)
  16. That was it, the book was about to close, an it dawned on Chet that he would not live happily ever after. The bounty on his head was a very large sum, he had earned it over a long period of time an it had grown. He shook his head not raising his eyes... this was the end, Chet knew he was as good as dead. " I dont know the exact amount.... but it is large." His voice came in near a whisper.
  17. Hey Capt and Eddie, I'll try and get ya some more info on that 4-door, but the only new Chargers I have heard about is the one in the link above. But I'll check my sources and see what I can find.
  18. Hey, what ya'll think of Sherri Austin for Daisy? There a pretty close match if ya ask me.
  19. It was like someone had dropped a rock into his stomach as Chet herd the words of the blond stranger, he didn’t believe him and there was very little or no way of proving that he was telling the truth. “My horse isn’t worth more then $8 grand, he’s gelded.†Chet’s voice came in near a whisper, his head still bowed. The Red gelding was more then just another race horse, he had grown to become Chet’s companion and his only trusted friend. But there was little he could say or do to prove that he was telling the truth, Jericho and the rest of the gang had left him behind convinced that he had finally sealed his own fate.
  20. Chet wrinkled his brow at the black clad stranger, he was serious, too serious about these horses. The future looked grim for Chet an he felt empty and alone inside, chances were even if he spilled everything about the horse he would still be dead before the next sun down. He moved slowly, resting both hands on the bar palm down and flat. There was nothing he could do, the stranger had a point, just about anyone with a lot of money and some good breeding stock would by those horses for a beautiful price. Chet sighed feeling a little nervous, he didn’t want to die over this little misunderstanding. His voice mellowed an fell down with a deep melancholy. “The gang that I ride with an myself were going to self the horses to a man on the southern boarder of Atlantic City, he said he would give us $15 grand a piece for the stallions and $10 grand a piece for the mares.†He paused feeling foolish and embarrassed. “Because of my delay here in town, trying to hide the three and all that the gang took the remaining 6 horses to the train station, sold them and ran with the money without me.†Chet tipped his head forward more an his eyes dropped down to the floor, this was the end, he had told all they would need to know. He glanced at his hands still flat on the bar, they were dirty and crested with thick calluses from his years of ridding and working with his hands. An soon they would work no more, his life would be over, his constant struggle would come to an end. (I wanted to gives someone besides Brian and I a chance to post, but my author an I may not be around for a short time, her horse has fallin ill an needs more attention then usuall.)
  21. The dark haired Duke boy took a deep breath an coward some what under the wide black brim of his Stetson, an he leaned his elbows on the bar in front of him. His heart raced with nervousness, his brain pounded with each pulse of blood. Chet turned his head to the right, the black clad stranger stood on his right, on his blind side making it impossible to see him, and the blonde stranger stood on his left. “Alright....†Chet sighed again and wiped some sweat an trail dust from his goatee. “There were nine horses. I left three in the livery while I took care of some business, the other six I left with the gang that helped me steal them.†It was time to stall a little, Chet felt it a good idea to make sure that he wasn’t going to get the neck tie party even if he did give all the information that these slicks wanted. (Cue anyone) “Can I build a smoke?†He asked motioning slowly towards his pocket. “There’s no gun in that pocket, I swear it on my horse.â€
  22. Thank you Capt, I'd sit and have a beer with you anyday too. There just things that got to be said and done, an more times then not people are all talk. An a wise friend of mine that I rode horses with for many years said something that will stay with me through out my life. A simple line with and million and half meanings. "Get er' done....Let er' buck!" Thats what he'd alwasy say. To me it means, get up and do what ya believe is right, cause if you dont. More chances then not aint no else gonna stand up and do it. ~Thank you!
  23. Thanks Capt, Im done I just had to speek my mind an tell how it is, weather or not hes messing with us or not. I aint gonna lay down and let anyone walk on me. But like I said I've mad my speech, an Im done. Have a good one folks, God Bless the Dukes of Hazzard and God Bless America.
  24. Your right Brian, everyone is entitled to there opinion. But what do you call an opinion that offends someone? Aint that taking it alittel too far when someone is offended or put down because of there home? I am very proud that I come from and live in New York, an last time I checked this is America. Theres no devide between this country, theres no line between the states, we are one country. Are you stating that we are different because one of us have an accent an the other doesnt? Are you deviding us because I live on the Northern part of a planet an you live on the Southern part? Come on..... I didnt have a choice, I couldnt decide where I was gonna be born, or where my heritage comes from. You talk about southern heritage, well hell every one has heritage, everyone in the world has heritage! An theres more to the Dukes then 'southern people' having some place they can fit in or something on tv that they can relate to. How can you say....ok so theres yankees that 'get it'. First off theres just as many fast cars and stuff where I live as there is where you live, I used to work on drag cars I know. Im not gonna sit here an bore you, but dont affend someone because of there home. Im glade you got to decide where you were born, where you came from, an Im glade you got to choose your heritage. You must be special, but for the rest of us, we didnt get to choose, we live with who we are and were gonna be proud of it, its what we got.
