Well I missed November 1st because I was sick all weekend. So, y'all stay tuned I'm gonna try to get the thing unveiled this week. =) Also forgot to mention above that there's a Story Starter category too. Ya konw, where I give ya a line like "It was a dark and stormy night" and you go off from there and write the great American novel. LOL. So, y'all stick around ya hear? =)

Cully looked at Rosco and saw he looked stunned. Cully was surprised too. Not for the events of the misunderstanding...but because Brian was just gonna go hide somewhere. "Brian, wait a minute," Rosco said, "it was a misunderstandin'. I don't believe you were lootin' the store. MaryAnne's injured, she don't know who any of us are. Daney just took her over to Doc Walker's..." The Sheriff's voice went soft. "Don't bail on me now..."
-
"This is definetly one of his better cheap parlour tricks," Cully said with a grin. He popped open the driver door of his Pontiac and stepped out. "Brian, this Cully Dawson, one of our long lost cousins," Rosco said. "Cully, this is Brian." "Some may argue I'm still lost," Cully said. He put his hand out to Brian. "Nice to meet you, Brian." (Khee! Cue Brian)
-
Rosco tapped Brian on the shoulder. "I'll tell ya what's funny. You've been dee-liverin' that finally tuned rant to the wrong audience. KHEE!" (Cue Brian!)
-
Rosco stood just behind Brian, looking at the young Coltrane and then at Cully, who was sitting with his arms leaning out the open window of his Grand Prix giving Brian his full rapt attention. Cully hadn't been too surprised that Brian thought he was Rosco and he wore a smirk through most of the rant, especially once he saw Rosco out of the corner of his eye. When Brian paused long enough for air, Cully made eye contact with Rosco and the Sheriff spoke... "That so? Well, what does the idea of MaryAnne havin' amnesia and not knowin' who any of us are do to yer appetite?" (Hungry Brian? No? LOL)
-
"Amnesia?" Rosco said. "Oh Lord..." "She probably don't know who Brian is anymore than she knows who *she* is," Cully said. "That's what's worryin' me...'specially if she's runnin' on full cop mode." Rosco looked at Chance. "Listen, take care of Hilery here, Cully and I will round up Brian and MaryAnne and we'll get MaryAnne over to you as soon as we can." "Like she's gonna know who the hell we are," Cully said. "She'll think she's got double vision or something---" "Will you just hush and git!" Rosco turned Cully back to the Grand Prix. The two cousins hurried into the car. Meanwhile, MaryAnne was losing steam. Her momentary fury over being duped by the toaster thief was giving way to a roaring headache that intensified with each pounding of bootsteps she took. She tried to ignore the pain, but was soon overrun by it and brought to her knees. She looked up and saw that Brian was about 15 yards ahead of her and just about to the end of the alley that spilled out onto the street. *Next time,* she thought as she put her head down in her hands. *I"ll get 'em next time....* (*ahem* I uh...fergot about the concussion part. Maybe Coltranes got hard heads. Makes sense...in more ways than one. ROFL. Anyway... Brian? Ya out there son? LOL)
-
After the gun had been knocked skyward, MaryAnne only had a few seconds to see the toaster coming back toward her. Instinctively she turned her face away and put her arms up to block it, pistol still in hand, and the metal applicance crashed against her before she pushed it away. The toaster fell to the concrete of the sidewalk and MaryAnne looked in time to see Brian take his escape through Rhuebottom's store. "ARGH!! You sonofa---!! I'll git you!!" She jammed the gun back into her holster. Before she took off after him, Daney had come up and Cully's battered Pontiac had come to a screeching halt behind Chance's Bronco. MaryAnne ignored the new comers and charged after Brian, following his path through the store and going out the same window he had. Rosco and Cully both did a double take, seeing MaryAnne take off after....something. Rosco looked to Dr. Walker and Hilery for an explanation....and was immediately troubled by the alarmed looks on their faces. "What the heck's going on?" he asked. (Cue anybody!!)

Time is due... Happy Birthday to Miss Valerie Strate and her author!!

In due time, Scoot... in due time.

Considerin' the troubles I have with Winders sometimes, ol' Billy Gates is not who I was thinkin' of. LOL. However, Teddy Roosevelt is someone I would certainly honor..... But nope, it's neither one of them. It's somebody else around here who's special in their own way. Lisa

Okay folks, here's what this is all about! I'm lookin' to challenge yer brains and spark some creativity. I'm currently putting together a lil' web page that will go into some more details, but I've been trying to come up with some fanfic challenges. So far I have a few categories with a few challenges all ready to go. Here's a breakdown of the categories I have so far.... Photo Challenge (write a story/scene based on a photo or image) Spark Word Challenge (write a story based on a spark word) Time Period Challenge (write a story/scene that takes place in Hazzard during a certain time period in history) Specific Elements Challenge (write a story that mentions specific items) One Set Challenges (write a story that takes place in one set, ie the Boar's Nest only, the Bank only, ect...) I'm gonna have three challenges up at once and you guys can pick n' choose which one's ya wanna do (or ya can do all three! LOL). I know with so many of us out there, that there's potential for a lot of neat and creative ideas. So get your thinkin' caps on folks! November 1st is the big date.... =) Lisa

MaryAnne had looked down at her badge after Brian pinged it and slowly turned her eyes up to look at him. Who the hell was this dude, flicking a deputy's badge and standing there like a peacock in strut with nothing more than a contraband toaster? Was he kidding?? He seemed kind of familar, but MaryAnne figured maybe she'd met up with this smarmy thief before. If MaryAnne could remember, she'd know who he was and would have had a witty reply. Instead, his stance and open jacket weighted down by unseen objects hidden within, set off every deep seeded cop alarm in her brain. She took a careful step back and the gun came out of the holster. "You're under arrest. Gitcher hands up against that car," she ordered, pointing toward the black Chevy with her other hand. (Cue Brian!)

I know somebody here who has a birthday comin' up....

Although MaryAnne was missing most of her memory at the moment, Chance was right. She didn't miss much else. And, with wearing a police uniform she knew she had various duties to attend to. Before Daney and the other car came screeching up, MaryAnne had stepped out of the Bronco and stood at the door way to the store, watching as Brian pilfered through the stuff. With one hand on her hip, the other resting on the butt of her gun in it's holster, she said in an authorative drawl.... "You got a lot of gall to come into a town after a disaster and steal things from folks." (Cue Brian!)

Certainly not me. Tryin' to think of a favorite Rosco moment but there's too many to mention. LOL. I did watch Deputy Dukes today and the dialouge between Rosco and Boss is classic. Boss: "Rosco, I promised your fat sister Lulu when I married her that I'd keep you from gittin' yer fool head shot off!" Rosco: "Well I 'preciate dat." And then... Rosco: "Yer beautiful Boss. Just beautiful." Boss: "Beautiful? Heh...real nice lookin' maybe but...definetly not beautiful!" Rosco (after Boss leaves): "Boy ain't that the truth. He's a mess-a ugly!" ROFL!!

I liked both Enos and Cletus and I really liked it when they were both on the show and they would fight over who was gonna drive the patrol car. It's really too bad that Rick left after Enos came back because the Dueling Deputies was always good for a chuckle. =)

Had MaryAnne been in her right mind, she would have reacted more to hearing Rosco's name among the injured that Cooter listed off over the radio. Being that as she wasn't, and everything Hilery had told her ealier was now just a jumble of echoing words, MaryAnne could only be generally, yet genuinely concerned for the folks, not knowing that one of them was her kin. She looked at Chance however, and nodded in answer to her question. "Of course..."
-
I think the ol' boy was startin' to feel left out.
-
With that great big grin on his face. Khee! A memorable Enos and Rosco moment.... I can't remember the name of the episode but it's the one where Boss swaps the patrol cars for the trikes. Rosco is not amused but Enos looks like a kid in a candy store. Boss says something and Enos says enthusastically "Yes sir, Mr. Hogg!" to which Rosco mimicks "Yes sir, Mr. Hogg!" sarcastically. ROFL!

When the rope had let go, the Bronco had slid back and MaryAnne hit the brakes. Fearing the worst had happened when the car crashed back down, MaryAnne jumped out of the truck and came around the other car to find that Chance and Hilery were okay and for that she was greatly relieved. Absently rubbing the bump on her head, MaryAnne looked at Chance, awaiting the answer to Hilery's question.

Gotta an email from a fan in the UK with the following message he asked to pass on to y'all... "To all UK fans of the Dukes, if you're watching Granada Plus on Sky Digital you will know that 'The Dukes of Hazzard' is currently being aired, if you don't know then check it out. Also Plus have set up a Dukes forum on their website, to which the forum is starting to building quite nicely. We fans on the forum are also trying to persuade Plus to screen Season 5 which has not been show. If you are interesting in visiting the forum and registering the link is http://www.plustv.co.uk/forums/profile.php?mode=register&ruid=217 Yee-haw!"

"Ok!" MaryAnne went to the Bronco and climbed into the big 4X4. She started the truck up, the engine whining in a high idle at first. With a push on the gas, the engine settled to a lower idle and MaryAnne put her left foot on the brake, kept her right foot over the gas pedal and had the Bronco already in reverse waiting for the signal. "When yer ready Doc!"
-
MaryAnne was hardly able to process everything Hilery had told her when Chance suggested a course of action for moving the junk car to get Hilery out. And obviously Hilery's situation was more dire than some silly bump on MaryAnne's head. She shook her own confusion away for the moment and looked at the car that Hilery was pinned under. "Yeah...." she said nodding.
-
MaryAnne didn't recognize her own name as it was spoken. She also didn't know the young woman pinned under the car or the one that had drove up in the black Bronco. But apparently they knew her. For a moment, MaryAnne had a deer caught in the headlight look. She didn't know who she was. Or where she was.... She looked at Hilery and blinked. "Who?"

What's a vacation?? Dunno if I've ever had one of those... Nope, can't forget the Sheriff. Khee! And as long as I'm around here, y'all won't.
