  1. Veteran of the Boy Scouts here, in fact Eagle Scout from 1990. Just want to say I am behind what the Boy and Girl Scouts are about 100% and behind extremist politicians 0%. You just keep plugging away and don't worry about what some uninformed vote-seekers are doing for the sake of notoriety.

  2. Still want to know if anyone else saw the pilot episode with the '66-67 Charger General Lee?

This would be the first I've ever heard of a 66 or 67 being used. Are you sure you heard that right?

Keep in mind the difference between the 66-67 style Charger and the 68-70 was pretty hard to miss...

  3. Hope this is the right place to mention this. I finally took the opportunity to watch John Schneider's "WWJD" (What Would Jesus Do) movie and I have to say I'm more than pleased with the $5.00 I bought the DVD for at Walmart. If you get a chance, this movie is very powerful and worth the watch!

John Schneider is only listed as "the drifter" who finds his way into a town being taken over by a highly corrupt politician who plans to clear out the church building in favor of a casino. The church, already severely stricken by dwindling attendance of the members, is frenzied into a reawakening when the drifter bursts in and lights a spiritual fire in all those attending one Sunday before collapsing into a coma.

God bless Mr. Schneider for his hand in making this. It's a VERY powerful movie!

  4. Thanks for finding those, Hoss! I think it's safe to say that Dierks is still a Dukes fan. Heck, if the media was asking me how many times I've seen all the Dukes of Hazzard episodes, I might round it a little bit too. Otherwise they'd put me in the nut house.

I'd have to be right there with you then since I have all 7 seasons on DVD and even the crappy 2000's movies!

  5. This probably has been talked about a lot on other threads, but the following I believe should be on a Duke's Movie or even a new Duke's series:

Uncle Jesse: Charlie Daniels instead of Willie Nelson

    Boss Hogg: Danny Devito

Daisy Duke: Still looking but the young lady on the Beginning Movie has

    promise.

    The Balladeer: Shooter Jennings

Not sure on the others as of yet, but Charlie Daniels would be great. He could even do a reunion movie with the original cast as one of Jesse's brothers. Just a thought. What do yall think?

I had this same cast in mind way back in 1997. I haven't really ever comer up with a good Bo & Luke (although neither did WB when they made the movie) but now I would cast Tom Welling as Luke.

  6. Well I finally broke down and joined the forum. I was just 7 going on 8 when the show first aired and at first I only watched it because it came on TV right after the Incredible Hulk. Eventually I came to watch Dukes of Hazzard entirely for its own merits and have come to realize that some 30 years later, the old Dukes of Hazzard show has held up a lot better than the old Incredible Hulk TV show!

I'm originally from Minneapolis, MN, but moved to the coastal bend region of Texas after Minneapolis just had no more jobs to offer. I do plan on moving back now that the economy has made a bit of an upswing, but for now am just trying to work up the funds.

LOVE the old TV show, enjoyed the 2005 movie at first but definitely do not consider it to be worthy of being considered part of the canon. Like the DVD movie OK but again it is not worthy of being considered original canon.

I've also been known to do strange stuff like this:
