  1. I've got maybe 200 more, but there's probably a few double or triple copies of a couple of pictures.
  2. I realise this picture is the equivilant of posting a picture of a dead baby but it's more proof of what Bell did to Lee 1.
  3. I've checked with Roth to see if he didn't mind me posting pictures I've collected over the years. He's given me the go ahead so he's a few of the ones I've collected over the years.
  4. Hi Roth. I don't think we've spoken yet. Firstly I just want to take my hat off to you in regards to the Behind The Scenes thread you've started! If its alright with you would you mind if I posted some of the pictures I've collected over the years? And secondly you'll probably quickly see that I'm the resident mechanic / mad man, so I apologise in advance for spamming your HazzardNet with weird bicycle creations haha!

Anyway I belated welcome to HazzardNet! Y'all may notice we do things a little different here!

  5. Hey y'all! As I've said in the last few posts I was going to be doing big exams soon. Well today I finished them! That means that I'll be back spamming HazzardNet with my weird bike creations. Only this time there's a twist! After my Granda died my uncle said I was probably going to get his car. So hopefully this summer I'll get it and get started on cleaning and repairing it. Anyway that's my news for now. I just want to say its great to be back!
  6. I suppose you all deserve an update. My mom and her two brothers and two sisters stayed with my Granda in shifts of two people during the day and two people at night. The doctors had told us on Thursday or Friday that Granda only had about 24 hours left to live. Granda only wanted his children and inlaws by him at this point, so the shift changes increased. My mom had just returned home from her day shift on Saturday at about 9pm. She was barely in the door when her sister rang her from the hospital. She said that Granda's breathing was weak and shallow. I knew instinctively that he was close to dying, but when my dad came up to my room at about 10 to tell me that Granda had passed away peacefully I have to admit it felt like I was punched hard in the chest. A weird feeling set over me, the closest thing I could compare it to would be the light headed feeling that you get when you're drunk. That feeling stayed with me for the rest of the evening, and all day Sunday. My dad left for the hospital soon after he told me Granda died. He called me at about midnight to say that everybody was going back to my grandparents house, and that he would be over to collect us and bring us round. When we got there everybody was in shock. I just hugged my eleven year old cousin tightly, and gently rubbed her back while softly stroking my Grandma's hand. My uncle poured out a pint of Guinness and left it next to Granda's chair. It felt only fitting that I join in the tribute to Granda, so I poured myself my first pint of Guinness and drank it in memory of Granda. Sorry I'm just not able to go on its too painful at the moment to try and remember everything at the moment.
  7. Hey y'all. I'm not sure if many of you saw my last thread about donating part of a liver to a cancer patient. Well truth be told that question was acually about me donating part of my liver to my granda. He was over at my house on the 7th of march for my birthday, and felt fine. The following Monday he was short of breath whilst walking from the hospital parking lot to the hospital entrance for a routine checkup. The doctors kept him overnight to do tests to see if they could figure out what was wrong with him. I don't think any of the family, my granda included, wee expecting him to be diagnosed with secondary liver cancer on wednesday the 18th, more than a week after he was first admitted to hospital. I believed, and probably stupidly, that if I were to donate part of my liver to my granda, the cancerous liver would be able to be removed and the new liver would help repair the remaining original liver. He seemed completely normal as well. I went in to visit him with a present of afew of his favourite chocolate bars on Friday the 20th, and we spent about an hour talking. It was like I had called over to his house while he was still in bed. Then on the Thursday or Friday before easter, I'm sorry I just can't remember which because the days are becoming blurred together, the doctors told my mom and grandma that Granda had primary lung cancer. The doctors recommended us not to tell Granda, as he might lose the will to live. Since then I've been up to see him every day, and all the family has returned home from England and their various homes outside Dublin. I'm the oldest in the family, so I feel the need to keep it together for the sake of my younger cousins. However I completely broke down on Saturday evening, as the combined stress and shock suddenly took its toll. I don't know what I would've done had I not had my girlfriend Jo living near me. I went up to my school today to try and get some study done (I'm still on easter holidays this week but the school is open for people who want to study). However I got a call from my dad while I was there, telling me that my uncle called my mom and told her to get to the hospital as quick as she could. I planned on cycling the 6km to the hospital after going home to get a bike. However when I got home I saw my aunts car in the driveway. She was just briefly stopping off to drop off a dinner she made for whoever was around (my mom is the only one of her five siblings who stayed living near her parents, so our house has become the gathering point for everybody). She was going to go up to the hospital, so I said I'd get a lift with her. When we got to the hospital I almost broke down, because my grandma was sitting in the chair next to Granda's bed, stroking his hand and fighting back tears. His breaths were weak and shallow, with the occasional deep breath and shudder. I went over to the bed, took Granda's hand in mine, and just began stroking it softly and quietly talking to him. This proved to be to much to me, and I had to quickly leave the room. I really hope nobody ever has to go through what I'm going through at the moment. I don't know where I'd be without Jo and my close group of friends. I've tried to gain control of my emotions, but it's not working very well as I suddenly started crying in a supermarket earlier. I've lost all concept of days and dates, and I'm only managing about 4 to 5 hours sleep per night. I know this sounds horrible and probably a little cruel, but I almost want it all to end quickly so my granda doesn't suffer any more.
  8. The popcorn episode was when the female sherriff came in to Hazzard under the pretext of escorting a prisoner but her actual goal was to break him out. I can't remember the exact episode but it was one of the last episodes of season 4 if that's any help.
  9. Let's just theorize that someone has a family member who has been diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer. Would it be possibly for that person to donate part of their liver to the cancer patient? I've read that the liver can regenerate itself, and that the success rate is above average, but I'm just wondering if anyone can confirm or elaborate on this. Thanks.
  10. Hey y'all! I'm sorry I haven't been on much recently, but I have been thinking about new topics! One of them is to do with the narrow minded people who get offended by the flag on the General Lee. As far as I know any Dukes merchandise is now being sold without the confederate flag. To be perfectly honest, I want to upset the narrow minded idiots who pressured WB into removing the flag. Just out of curiousity, does anybody know if it would be illegal for me to buy toy General Lee's from the manufacturer in bulk, add the confederate flag to the roof, and sell them on at retail price? I don't see how it's illegal, as I purchased the goods, used them, and then sold them. Does anybody know if this is legal, or would I be breaking laws?
  11. Finally finished my exams today! As soon as I got in the door I went straight to bed for an hour. Anyway this project is coming together nicely, with only the stars, final clear coat, saddle, brakes and gears to do. This is always my favourite part of the whole build... Making something from scratch to serve a purpose that wouldn't normally need serving on a normal bike. On this bike, because I raised the back end the chain had to run at an angle to make it from the pedals to the wheel. However this caused a whole world of problems, as the chain now rubbed off the frame, damaging the paint and the chain itself. I really had no idea what to do to solve this problem. Then one evening it hit me. Build a hanging bracket that mounts to the frame using the bolts already present. To do this I took apart a set of gears, and cut and drilled into the aluminum bracket designed to hold two cogs which hold the chain. It may seem simple, but I'm personally very pleased with it for some reason. This next picture shows the handlebar stem and seat post painted and reinstalled. You can see how low the back of this bike was originally. In reality, lifting the bike has left the crossbar (where the flag and text ar) just about parallel to the ground. And no the bin isn't reflecting the orange paint, I accidentally got some paint on it...oops! And finally, a picture of the almost fully assembled bike. I'm going to keep my eye out for a disc brake for the back wheel, as I want to be able to lock up the back wheel for skids and slides. As you can see the front wheel is smaller than the back wheel, and that's because the proper sized front wheel didn't have a tire on it at the time of the photo. I've tried to keep this General as close as possible to the second Lee I build, so I copied the graphics by hand, used the same paint, clear coat, leather for the handlebars and saddle, and I even made the handlebar grips the same size (slight OCD showing there). Hopefully I can get the final clear coat on this weekend, and maybe have it fully functional by Sunday evening...
  12. Good work Hoss!! It's hard to recognize anywhere from looking at the video, or is that just me? I wonder what that building is near the number 8? And it looks like there's a collection of cars or something near the eastern end of the Duke farm.
  13. That's beyond cool. I was actually a little speechless for a few minutes. There's just a few things I want to throw out. Firstly, it looks like the lake has dried up, just from looking at the second picture, as the area looks very weedy. Secondly, if the fire damage wasn't repaired, it would also mean that the interior of the building wasn't safe to enter or film in wouldn't it? Thirdly, I wonder was the ranch used in any other tv productions (wasn't the Boars Nest blown up or something in some tv show?) And finally, imagine this from Denver's point of view, going back there three years after you finished working there, with a completely different cast and crew, yet everything being roughly the way you left it? I really wish I lived near the ranch back in the 80's when it wasn't being used! All those buildings and props and familiar trails!
  14. Indeed I do Hoss! No better day to finish exams!
  15. Sorry I haven't around much guys, but school is really taking up a lot of my time. I can't wait until when summer comes and it's all a memory! I took a break from studying this afternoon, and managed to give the General his final coat of orange. I thought one big post instead of several little posts would be better, and I haven't really had the time (I get in from school at 9.30 and just collapse into bed). Anyway here's a pic of the General after primer on the main frame with his white base coat. Next came the primer and white on the rest of the frame, but I forgot to take any photos. After the red, blue and black dried I painted the whole frame minus the cross bar (I didn't have any masking tape or time to tape off the flag and General Lee text). I designed and built this simple bike stand in woodwork class one day, and used it to support the extended rear end while painting them. And today, I had just enough time to buy masking tape and tape off the flag and General Lee text. I painted two coats of orange over the entire frame. It's the same exact colour as Lee # 2, so they'll look identical to the casual eye as I also copied the graphics off Lee # 2, and plan on covering the saddle and handlebar grips in the same chestnut leather as used on Lee # 2. For now, I'll leave you with this most up to date picture. I won't have a chance to do any more work until the 7th of march when my exams finish.
  16. I'm at it again guys! I know I haven't been online much recently, I'm sorry I just haven't had the time. I have however, managed to get 3 free bikes. One was abandoned at my school and given to me by the principal, one was given to me by my neighbour and the third was found next to a dumpster near my house. I'm sure some of you are wondering what happened to my Xtreme Lee project. I got it finished A couple of weeks ago, and forgot to hook up the brake cables on the first test ride. Let's just say bent forks and a bend in the frame are too damaged for even me to repair. I stripped the bike, and in a move mirroring the car builders of the series, cut off all the decals and crushed the rest of the bike. Now onto the third free bike... I had intended to use it as a parts bike, but with the demise of Xtreme Lee and the surplus of parts I decided to build an off road General Lee, similar to the Fall Guy Bike I built this time last year. I only started this project today, so I've only managed to mount the extended rear end. I plan on leaving the front as it is. The lifted rear end gives an extra inch of ground clearance to the pedals, so hopefully this will cut down on the amount of pedals I go through. Here's a behind the scenes picture of the Off Road General Lee seen in Dukes of Hazzard, and then here's two of the current progress.
  17. I remember reading that our common enemy Travis Bell "borrowed" them off Jack to "make copies off". When Jack tried to contact Bell, he always went straight into voice mail. He later discovered who Bell was, but by this point Bell had already sold the models on without Jack's permission. Now I ain't no fancy lawyer, but ain't that theft? And does anyone else find it funny and ironic that Bell's initials also stand for turd bucket? No me neither.
  18. If I'm not mistaken the building on the right was used in "Officer Daisy Duke" when the baddies of the week crashed Daisy's patrol car into the fruit stands outside the store to escape Enos. Is that the episode you're referring to Hoss? And while were on the topic of the 2007 movie, what character does everyone think was worst? Personally I think turning Lulu from a bright, happy, bubbly lovable character into let's be honest, a bit of a prostitute was a step too far... On the plus side, April Scott sure looked good in a pair of Daisy Duke's!
  19. The only photos that show area 2 are these two ones. The shop would have been behind the bushes on the right of the picture. Would it help if I tried to get co ordinates for each location you want, and you could use them the next time you are at the ranch?
  20. To be honest I think it looks similear to a road used for one shot in Mason Dixon Girls. I'm thinking of the final chase scene when Daisy and Jesse are in Dixie and if I remember correctly went from right to left. Does anyone else know the scene I'm talking about? *cough cough* Hoss I know that when I take a picture on my iPod the location is stored with the other information about the picture. I'm not sure if the new iPhone has that feature, but I imagine it would. Tom Sarmento's shop is next to the Duke Farm. It's location is very easy to see due to the strange, square like layout of the trees. There's a map on the Valencia Oaks thread, but I'll post it here anyway
