This has been explained before in another topic. The episodes were shown out of order than the way they were filmed chronologically. I read somewhere it was due to sweeps week that that they were originally aired this way.I don't know why they couldn't have corrected this when they issued the DVD sets, maybe they wanted to maintain the consistency of the way they were originally shown. One of the many goof ups in Hazzard history.

Yes most of the locations are still intact down in Covington,Conyers. The Boars Nest is now a church. The town square basically still looks the same. The remains of the Duke farmhouse as far as I know is still standing too.It was going to be tore down but they discovered it was an original old log structure that dates back to the Civil War so the owner of the property has decided at least for now to leave it standing. I have been to all the filming locations down there in my General.

I believe it would all be private property anyway so unless you knew who actually owns it and get permission you wouldn't be able to get there anyway unless you plan on trespassing.

I cannot confirm whether the Styx river jump is indeed a record or not as a lot of you assume it is. Yes in Happy Birthday General Lee they show the Styx river jump as supposedly the first jump the General did. Now technically it was NOT the very first jump filmed. The first jump filmed is somewhat arguable. It is one of the 2 jumps in One Armed Bandits.I'm not sure which jump was technically first the one on Elm street or the one at Seney Hall where they jump over Rosco.
-
The jump was in Covington,Georgia put on by the North American General Lee Fan club in 2003 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the jump in front of Seney Hall. The jump you normally see at the end of the opening credits where the General jumps over Rosco.

There are plenty of them at these trade in places for 5 bucks or under. My wife just saw it at a local exchange place for that and they had a lot of them.

Don't worry dukefan. That car they jumped was a wreck. It was a 68 conversion to a 69 and every panel on the car was literally covered in bondo. It took a combination of 2 or 3 cars to piece together this car.In fact it had a total of 5 gallons of bondo in the car! The grill was held in by zip ties and the windshield held by duct tape. Believe me you would not have wanted to attempt to restore this hulk when they first started on it. The car looked good from 20 feet away but up close a disaster.I was there to witness this jump.

I've helped,Strutter,Cold Gin,Destroyer when ever they use to come to Ohio.Detroit Rock City is a good chase song or I Love it Loud,or War Machine.

I had front row in 1998 Psyco Circus tour in Cleveland.I won a Gene lookalike contest to get the tickets. Got a bunch of guitar picks that night.

How about Gaylord wasn't he a cousin? The one from England .

Must be some KISS fans on here. That's cool cause I'm a HUGE KISS Fan. I used to help a tribute band whenever they came into town. There is a Dukes/KISS connection.Gene Simmons and John Schneider are in that Trick Pony video "The Bride". Here is a pic of me in costume

Can't reply to that question. That's the problem it seems the person or persons who have it are reluctant on selling. The consensus from my club is it is NOT a genuine TV used General but a very old well done replica.

I wouldn't believe any kind of rumors on the internet, 99% of them are just bogus.Until you read something official from WB I wouldn't believe anything.

Here is my General Lee.

ok here we go, I'll consult with my club see what they think. There are ways to tell if it's the real deal or not most real Lees were numbered either in the front drivers corner by the vin number like LEE 1 or Lee 22 or some were numbered in the back glass somewhere engraved.

Send them to my msn email addy and I can post them it's a bit lengthy on how to post pics on here even though it's not as hard as it seems.

Sorry Brian, you are right this is a endless debate that neither side is going to give in but I will still support any others who bring up negative topics.I will just try not to have anymore confrontations with the Capt. I don't want to risk getting banned or slip and use a bleep word which I avoid anyway.

Not quite correct. 1975 Corvette "Flame Red" or "orange flame" as it is referred to in some paintchip books is the most accepted "Correct" color used on the General Lee. I've explained this in another topic but will again. Don Schisler who was in charge of the Georgia Lee's told me the color as confirmed by Tom Sarmento builder of Generals during the show. So the Georgia Lees were Corvette flame red. This color was definitely used the last 3 seasons as well. Now there was a period of time when WB had a company called Valuzets(spelling?) building the cars who used there own blend of paint some say it was Hemi others say it was Hugger or a combination of the 2 or whatever they had on hand. Then WB went back to building them themselves and used the Corvette color again till the show was cancelled. The movie Lees are a totally different color called Big Bad Orange a 1970 AMC color. http://www.autocolorlibrary.com/scripts/depot.exe?pgm=aclgate.bbx

All but Peter Criss from KISS,Quiet Riot,Dee Snyder,Linda Blair,Jason from Friday the 13th,Frank Gorshin,Stella Stevens,Gil Gerard,Gary Busey,David Carradine,Mini Me, Cousin It,R2-D2,Chewbacca,Dirk Benedict,Richard Hatch,Tracy Lords,Julie Newmar,Jonathan Frakes,Marina Sirtis,Erin Gray,Lee Meriweather.Lou Ferrigno,Whew I'm sure I missed a few and some you probably wouldn't know who they were.

Jumps are by catagory, dirt to aspalt, asphalt to dirt, dirt to dirt, ect. The jump at Dukesfest 2003 was a record from asphalt to dirt at 193 feet. The Styx river or Indian Dunes jump everyone is referring to was dirt to dirt and Al Wyatt(one of the stunt guys) told me that jump was around 230 feet not sure if it's a record or not but one of the longest of the show. Yes there are injuries that happen during jumps.Cory Eubanks can attest to this.
-
Cedar I agree with you.It sure makes you appreciate the original all the more. It was good to see the General again that's about it. Agreed the stunts weren't anything we haven't seen before but it could have been worse. They could have used that CGI crap for the jumps.Let's face it,WB never cared about this franchise even though it made them tons of money over the years nor do they care about us fans.It was another one of Hollywoods pitiful attemps to make a quick buck off a popular old TV show.Which it only made about 10 mill over it's budget (including the lost law suite) in the US.Not that good of a profit in Hollywood terms. On a side note,I know someone who is in contact with Gy Waldron and he wasn't pleased with what Jay and Broken Lizard crew did with his creation.

Ok,maybe I'm over analyzing his post and taking it too literally.I don't read it as a request I read it as more of a demand. Let me use his words only on the negative side as an example. All of you who like the movie, stop praising it! It's my least favorite movie and I'm sure a lot of other peoples too so respect our opinions and don't praise it. We are all Dukes fans so we all must get along. How would you have responded to that Capt? Not very well probably. It was not my intention to chastise and I'm sorry it was taken that way. His post is basically saying he wants us to stop ragging the movie just because he doesn't like it. Unfortunately for him and you the first amendment allows us to.You can request we leave our negativity somewhere else all you want but these topics keep on popping up don't they? By the way I have started none of them but I support the people who did and their right to do so just as I would support your right to post positive ones even though I wouldn't agree with your point of view.
-
All I was saying that his post as written was contradictory . I don't see how dissing the movie is disrespecting the pro-movie peoples opinions as he said it was. People can like the movie all they want. I don't have to agree with them. There you go implying I should leave this site again. Well I'm not going anywhere. You don't like me or my post you don't have to reply anymore.
-
I didn't disrespect him. He was NOT asking people to stop he was telling people to stop which is going against his telling us to respect other opinions. Look those of us that dislike the movie have our opinions correct? By him telling us to stop is him disrespecting those opinions correct? So how are we suppose to respect him if he's not respecting us? Hence the comment practice what you preach. Did I ever tell you pro-movie people to stop posting positive comments? No I didn't and if I did I apologize. You can post till you're blue in the face for all I care. You're not the one to talk about letting it be, as soon as anyone post anything negative about the movie you are usually the first one to reply to it. You take it just as personal as I do on the anti movie side. I have no ill will toward him or you at all,but don't tell me to stop posting certain things if you expect me to respect you.
Autographs anyone?

I've seen that picture before and it is an obvious fake and always thought it was in bad taste to Catherine.Back on topic I only need Tom Wopat to sign my General of the living cast. I even have some guest star signatures like Johnathan Frakes.
