Jesse figured this out, but nevertheless brought her a plate of food after awhile for supper.

Then Enos came back and handed her a glass of mint tea "Here Daisy. . .have some of this. . .I know you're bothered a lot right now."

Jesse said nothing, but went to Daisy's room deciding that he would talk to her.

Soon they made it back to the house. Enos made some tea. . .as well as another bottle for Cherry. Daisy sat on the couch holding their daughter and saying nothing.

Jesse nodded "She's got her mom's spirit without a doubt." he agreed.

Enos sighed "Daisy. . .I need to go on to the station. . .I'll be back tonight." ans with that he headed out to drive to the station. "What did I do?" Daisy asked herself. Granny watched not knowing what to say. "I DO love you kids. . .and your dad. . .I know you've got to know that."

Enos sighed "Well. . .I'll talk to her. See y'all later." and with that he walked back to the squad car and drove back to his house. Daisy said nothing on the way and it bothered Enos.

Bo put his hands up "Okay. . .okay. . .I'm not arguing. You're coming with us." Jesse just stared not knowing what to say. Daisy finished her clothes and went to put them away.

Luke slapped his back "Uh yeah. . .could you be more insensetive?"

Enos nodded "I wish it were true Daisy." Enos sighed and reached up to wipe his own tears "I really do love you. . .all of you." Andrew looked up "It's cause of me dad. . .I'm y'all's bad luck." "No you ain't Andrew." Daisy said rushing over to take him into her arms "Not at all."

"Well do you see anybody else out there with girls?" Bo asked "You know I mean cept the ones who are married."

Enos sighed "I don't know Daisy. . .I just. . .I don't know what to do anymore. . .I wish I did. . .I'm supposed to look after you and the kids and. . .I reckon I'm failing you somehow."

All three of them could only watch as Daisy stormed back to the squad car. "I'm awful sorry about this Uncle Jesse." Enos apologized. "No need son. . .Daisy's . . .growing up." Jesse sighed.

"Do you want everyone laughing at us?" Bo asked. "BO!" Jesse cried "This is not like you at all son." he said. "Well it's true." Bo said.

"Well you sure didn't give us any waring." Bo defended to which, Luke held him back "Bo, leave her alone. . .you and I both knew this would happen. . .she loves Enos so quit it." Luke told him.

"Daddy what are we gonna do?" Lily asked. Enos gave her a hard look, harder than he meant "Lily, leave your mama alone right now. . .she's having a tough time."

"Well what's going to happen to my nephew?" Jesse asked concerned. The doc turned to him "I just said it. . . I don't know." Jesse nodded not seeing how he would get another answer. "Oh Uncle Jesse." Daisy whispered,leaing her head against his shoulder "I . . .I can't loose Luke. . .what will we ever do without him?" she asked. Jesse wrapped an arm around her "I don't know Daisy, but I know it won't be the end of the world." "How can you be sure?" she asked. "Well. . .the doc said that. . ." "I don't care what she said Uncle Jesse." Daisy declared "I want Luke."

Then Enos brought Jesse over and Daisy sighed trying harder not to cry "Oh Enos." she cried "How. . .I mean. . .I just can't do this." she cried. "There, there Daisy." Enos whispered wondering what the kids were thinking "It'll be all right."

Bo looked at Luke "Did she just take advantage of us?"

Bo and Luke looked at eachother "Beats us if we're okay with it." Bo said.

"To be honest we ain't sure." Luke said as he was confused. Jesse only nodded not wanting to start anything. "Uncle Jesse. . .you know that I need to go with the boys in case something happens." Daisy said.

Jesse walked over and laid a loving hand on Cherry's head "Well, if that's the way you feel. . .then I give you my blessing. I know you two lov eachother. That's never been a doubt to me."

All three of the boys stared at eachother "When the heck did this happen?" Bo asked giving them a look. "Well. . . .to be honest with you Bo" Daisy looked down at Cherry to avoid his eyes "It happend tonight when Enos said that he found Cherry in California and knew that she needed someone other than him to raise her."

"Oh Uncle Jesse." Daisy cried hiding her face in his shoulder. "I know baby." Jesse patted her shoulder. "Luke!" Bo cried and rushed to see what was the matter with his cousin. Daisy, out of despair followed him and Jesse tailed behind them

Jesse sighed as he came out "What's going on here you three?" he asked.
