Daisy nodded "And I suppose you're all right here. . .so. . .I'll be back later." she kissed his cheek "I promise." -
Enos nearly choked as he felt traped but then he pulled his gun "LD I don't know what you did to Daisy and I don't wanna know, but I know that I'm the man for her and I'm the deputy here."

LD gave them a look "Oh come on Daisy, you know I'm much more of a man than he is." Daisy held tight to Enos laying her hand on his gun pouch "No you're not! Enos is ten times what you are."

Daisy smiled "Oh just the fact that I'm hungry and the kids probably are. . .and are needing me to fix them something."

Daisy chuckled "Well. . .let's see what time is it?" she asked suddenly thinking for a moment.

Daisy smiled "Am I supposed to take this as a sign that you feel better?" she joked and even picked up one of the comics herself.

Just then someone said "Hold it right there!" Daisy and Enos turend to see LD, obviously with a gun in his pocket. "What do you want?" Daisy asked.

"Well. . .what do you feel like right now?" Daisy asked.

Daisy sighed thinking over what she wanted to say "Enos. . .the important thing is that I love you no matter what. . .I don't really know what to tell you about LD right now, but just know that I love you and that's all there is to it."

Enos nodded "Of course Daisy. . .I wouldn't like to you."

Daisy sighed looking him in the eye "Well . . .remember when I told you that I married him and then we divorced? I'm just not over it yet."

Enos smiled "There's the courage I love you for."

Enos looked slightly shocked "You feeling all right? or do you want to get back to Cherry?" Daisy sighed "Enos I ain't been honest with you. . .the whole night I've seen LD creeping around and I'm afraid of you seeing him."

Enos gave her a serious look "Daisy if I could switch places with someone I would. . .I know you've had tradgedy after tradgedy after Andrew and Andrea were born."

Enos kissed her cheek "All right then. . .as long as you know how much I love you."

Enos smiled "Daisy, I don't care if I can afford it, but if you love it. . .then that's what I'll get." he assured her.

Enos stopped singing "Daisy. . .what's the matter?"

First Enos took her to the Boar's Nest where they had supper and then he took her to one of the shops in town where Daisy picked out a simple little ring.

Enos laid a hand on one of hers "I know you do. . .I just wish there was more I could do for you." and then he started singing along with the radio when a song came on that he and Daisy loved.

Enos smiled "Well you've had a big day with Cherry so. . .well" he turned to Lulu "I reckon we'll be here by ten at the most."

Daisy sighed and turned the radio on as she wished there was something she could do to help Enos.

Enos gave her a startled look "You forget what I told you this morning about picking you out a ring?" he asked.

Daisy nodded "Well I sure wouldn't want you to be in pain so I suppose that's good." she said "Well, what do you feel like doing now?" she asked.

Daisy nodded "Well has he said anything to you that would make you think you're getting better?" she asked.
