soon Enos was back in his bed and it was Daisy's turn to sigh as she was tired herself -
Lily didn't believe it, but said nothing as she was too tired to argue. "Well Daisy. . .I reckon I ought to get on back to my room." Enos said "I ain't used to being up like this."

Enos nodded "I won't Daisy. . .the truth is that I'm just really nervous. . .Remember that one time when I broke out in hives?"

Daisy couldn't help it, but she began to cry silently. Enos noticed this and smilied a bit himself. Lily of course was confused "Okay, I like this song, but why y'all smiling?"

Enos smiled "Daisy. . .I know that. . .I'm just. . .I really can't tell you."

Finally Enos got his courage and said "Daisy. . .I know you don't know what you're thinking right now and that's fine. . .cause I don't either. . .I suppose we ought to hold this off for a while untill we are."

Enos looked at Daisy. Little Bitty. . .It was the song they had called theirs forever.

Just then, a song came on the radio that, they all admired.

So they ate their lunch in silence.

Enos shook his head, taking her hand into his.

Enos silently took a sip of his tea.

hey texas . . .girl me and you will get along GOOD. . .I LOVE Johnny and Alan.

"Well then what is it?" Enos asked worried.

Jesse nodded and walked outside to the fields wishing in his mind that Daisy and Enos would get things straightend out.

Jesse nodded and then set some ice tea and lunch sandwiches on the table for them "We'll leave you two alone so you can talk." he said before leaving.

Enos looked to Daisy then back to Lily "Honey, is this because of me and my leg? Is that why you feel this way?"

Jesse smiled at them "You'll figure it out."

Daisy sighed and stroked his arm "We gotta figure this all out."

Lily was happy to see him, yet still upset "Daddy. . .what's going to happen?" she asked.

Daisy nodded and went to ask Doc Appleby if that would be okay.

Daisy just sat as she had no idea what to say "Lily, you want your father to come and see you?"

Daisy smiled "I know you will sugar."

"What is it Enos?" Daisy asked.

Daisy smiled "Lily, I hope you grow up to be kinda like how Luke was to me and Bo. . .you've got quite a few cousins to look over."
