Elly: How did you do that?

Enos: she does. I'm going to check on her. (poor daisy. Hurts her so bad)

Elly: Cooter you've been hurt ain't ya? A lot?

Jed: What ya mean Elly?

Elly: *nods* I will Cooter. I'm scared to death to go on the limb, but you really do seem kind and caring and fun loving. You know what I mean?

Daisy: Elly . . .I hope you understand this, but I gotta go. I don't feel as bad about Andrew now, but Brenna . . .I just - - *runs off*

Elly: *swallows being nervous* I feel the same about you Cooter. Every man that i've seen . . .I wouldn't even want to try to get close to, but you're different somehow.

Elly only nods. Enos: Don't worry. Daisy and I are here for you.

Suddenly Elly turns to Cooter. Elly: Cooter . . .what did you think of tonight? What do you think about me?

Elly: Good. Pa, this whole thing has me scared.

After that Cooter decides to sing her Angels Fall Sometimes and then the two of them sit for awhile in silence looking at the full moon.

Jesse: It's all right. I'm here. We're gonna take you home.

Daisy: Everything. I love Enos and well tonight he asked me to marry him, but we've been in love for a long time. Then there's Bo and Luke with the General. I know it's the General, but . . .I don't know.

(amen to that) Jesse walks over to Daisy* You all right baby?

Daisy: I don't know. I'm so confused.

Jesse goes into the building and next thing a fight breaks out between him and one of the guys.

Elly: *shakes her head* Cooter, you wouldn't do that to me would you?

Cooter: It's okay if ya nervous. Daisy said you would be. Come on here's one I know you've gotta know. *starts playin Summertime Blues*

Elly is speechless that her cousin could do that when she is sitting there with her own son.

Cooter: Something the matter Elly?

Daisy: No . . .I'm okay. *shaky* Really Cooter, I am. What mostly has me is how Jethro could abandon his daughter.

After that Cooter starts Would You Go With Me.

(ya didn't make me mad. I kinda had a thinking after I posted that you might not have gotten the reference.) Daisy: Well . . .I'm happy for y'all.

Elly: okay well how about . . .Where the Blacktop ends? Really I'm at lack of thought right now. Just so nervous.

(here) Jed: Well, Cooter I know you're happy. I always wanted a son, but all I got was Elly . . .the best young'un I could've had. Guess you're gonna have a helper in the garage?
