The next morning Jesse was still thinking about what happend the night before.

Jesse: I don't know. I know she's too sweet for a snake like him, but well next to the Hoggs they have the most money in Hazzard.

Roscoe: What are you smiling about little fat buddy?

Enos: Maybe. Daisy goes and puts Lily in their bed and comes back Daisy: Enos, I don't understand it. . .sure she was a little isolated this afternoon, but how did she change so suddenly?

Lulu and Roscoe look at eachother scared of what he'll say next.

Just then Boss walks over having over heard a bit of what they said.

Enos: Daisy, I don't reckon this will help none, but do you think that we ought to send her to bed now? What should we do?

Lulu: No. She won't and I know Jefferson will give her a hard time about it.

Enos: I know, but she doesn't know that yet.

Lulu: *smiles* I know you'll do your best.

Enos: Daisy, what are we going to do? She's terrified of Luke and for some odd reason I'm scaring her.

Lulu: Well what are you going to do about it?

Enos: I guess in the first place she's in a new place, but I think it's me she's afraid of. I don't know what happend to her, but I reckon her daddy did something.

Lulu: I don't want to believe it, but I know he'll do something.

At this Lily began to scream. Enos gently handed her to Daisy at which she stopped screaming, but still shook with fear. ( I read a book lik this once)

Lulu: So am I, but I mean other than that? What do you think Jefferson will do about it?

Enos slowly walks over to Lily and she scrunches up even more.

Lulu: I won't let JD lay a hand on that little one. . .what about you? How you feel about this?

Lily: *nods, but stays in her little safe ball* (poor thing)

Lulu: of course. Every bit as much as I do bo and Luke sons. Why?

Lily shrunk back even more at that. Daisy: *looks to Enos* Lily, has anybody ever. . .hit you? For no reason?

Lulu: Of course *gives Boss a warning look as she and Roscoe go to talk.

Lily gave Daisy the most pleading look she had and Daisy realized that there was true fear in her eyes.

Lily: He does. I could tell when he walked away. . .he met my eyes . . .anger was there like everybody else does for me.

Lulu: JD you're not giving my baby brother trouble now are you?
