Martha: I figured you would. . .what you gonna name her? What do you think about the little wings I gave her?

Lily: Why daddy?* Lily looks at him as she finishes the last of her dinner*

Martha: I know it ain't much, but well. . .I know you don't really like these kinds of things Daisy, but I figured you'd want something to talk to about your problems.

Enos: *nods* I'll take care of the kids for you. . .I'll go over to Uncle Jesse's and then I'll be back. Lily: Daddy, what's wrong with mama?

Martha: *smiles* When you're a little older, but here *hands her a little piece of fabric* How do you like it? I was making you a kinda Rag doll.

Daisy: *sighs and only messes with her food not eating any of it.*

After they do Jesse takes the two into the house and they find Martha on the couch working on some sewing.

Enos: *now that the two of them and Lily are at the table he lays a hand on Daisy's arm* Daisy, you wanna pray for Uncle Jesse? Daisy: *nods* Enos: I'll do it.

Enos: *comes over and gets Dinner on the plates for her and on the table*

Enos: Doc's over there right now. . .I hope Granny don't try nothing. . . If she does *swallows* Daisy: *nods wanting to get away and rushes to get dinner which is now ready*

Lily: *starts crying* Mama. . .Grandpa ain't gonna die is he? Daisy: *Looks at Lily trying to have strength*

Jesse: Luke want's me to pray for y'all and me and your Aunt Martha that we'll all have strenght and patience to get through this. Daisy: Oh.

(I felt we needed a twist lol) Lily: mama what's wrong with Grandpa?

Luke: I've been starting to pray about this. . . That I'll have more patience for you and Bo. . .and to give me strength to do all that I need to as the oldest. Uncle Jesse could you? Jesse: Yes, boy I will.

Daisy waited with Lily for what seemed ages and finally her breath caught in her throat when she heard the door shut. Daisy: Well. . .what is it Enos?

Enos: Stay here with the kids and I'll go check. . .maybe Bo can tell me something.

Enos: Daisy, . . .You don't really think. . .not that? Daisy: He was takin a nap in the middle of the afternoon Enos. . .that's so unlike him. . .*tries not to start crying*

Enos: What? Do you know what's wrong with him?

Daisy: *nods* Sorry I'm such a baby about everything.

Enos: Bo was outside, Cale in his arms walking Doc Appleby to the house.

Enos: *nods* You see Uncle Jesse today? Know when I came in. . .seemed like there was something strange happening over at his house.

Enos: *kisses Daisy and hugs Lily* Well what did you girls do today?

Daisy and Lily went into the Living room and listened to the radio until Enos came home.

Daisy: It won't be ready for a while Lily. We have to wait for your daddy to come home also.

Daisy: Care to share your 'little kid thoughts' with me? I want to know what's on your mind. . .Oh and we're having squash for dinner.
