Enos sighed, but said nothing more. -
Soon they made it to the hospital and Daisy tried not to cry as she and Lily waited in the waiting room while Doc fixed Andrea.

Enos nodded "You just seem upset and I wanna help you."

"We ain't got time for that mama." Lily insisted as she rushed out the door.

Lily leaped off the bed and took her sister into her arms "Come on mama. Get what you need and let's get Dixie and get her out to the hospital." Daisy nodded dumbly.

Enos looked confused "Did I say something wrong?"

Enos smiled "I couldn't handle another one. . .course if it was one of my daughters. . .I hope both of you realize how much I love you."

(Poor Daisy. . .good thing I was the last one my parents had. They coldn't handle another like me) Lily, suddenly concerned leaned down as Daisy moved her daughter's hand "Mama her eye's bleeding." she gasped.

Enos yawned "I'd kinda just like to sit here and snuggle with my girls."

Just then Andrea came in, a hand over one of her eyes and she was crying.

Enos shrugged "Well what you want to do?" he asked and picked Cherry up and brought her over.

Lily sighed "I wish I did."

Enos nodded "I know I'm acting stupid, but I just don't want nothing to happen to my little family."

Lily shook her head "You ain't listening to a word I'm saying mama."

Enos nodded "Daisy," he got up and came back with a small bowl "Daisy, please just a little bit. . .that's all . . .just a couple bites but I'm getting worried about you."

Enos gave her a confused look "Any idea why?"

"What mama?" Lily asked.

"Really? Uncle Jesse make you something good? Ain't sick are you?" Enos asked concerned.

Then one of the puppies came in, tail wagging.

Enos squeezed her close "I know ya ain't. Want any of what I made for supper?"

Lily sighed "Why does it matter mama?" she shrugged "Why can't I just say I want to go to work?"

Enos nodded "Daisy, I'm sorry I made you so nervous. I just want us and Cherry to be happy together." he apologized.

Daisy sighed "What do you mean by that sugar? I just don't understand." then Daisy's mind wondered just a bit as to why she had started working at the Boar's Nest and how she'd done it so the boys could get a new car.

(sorry that was so short. . .I was in the middle of it and my brother was fussing at me to come downstairs) Enos nodded "Hey. How's things at your Uncle Jesse's?"

Lily nodded "I know that mom. I just want to do something other than be stuck here with the others and daddy."
