Finally about two in the morning Daisy manages to scrape up about an hour and a half of sleep when she is woken up by Enos's gentle hands. -
Just then Billy hears a knock at the door and looks up as Martha walks in with Cooter.

Jesse nodded "I know. . .I know you do, so do I, but we can't change that." Just then there was a knock at the door.

Jesse looked at a lost now "Well at least you can go back to school without worrying about her. I know that was a burden on you."

Billy looked down "Well it's you and me now baby. . .I know you'll be strong just like your mama."

Billy snuggles her close and tires to give her a bottle.

Jesse sighed "Well baby, your cousins didn't have anything to do with it. . .Hughie didn't I know something happend to her, but differently than you thought.

Billy picks her up smiling down "Well I suppose it's me and you now baby."

Nope I never played pitcher. I was catcher once and not very good at it

Billy goes in and smiles down at his daughter.

Jesse wrapped his arm tighter around her "What do you want to do now baby?"

Andrew sleeps unpeacefully, but Daisy can only stare at the clock waiting till Enos comes in the morning

With that Martha left and soon she and Jesse were in bed.

Martha nodded "Well I'll just take this and leave it in the icebox for you. Your Uncle Jesse and I will be here if you need us.

Martha smiled "I understand. . .you want to talk to me or do you want me to leave you alone?"

Jesse sighed and shook his head "I don't know Daisy, but I know he will understand. Enos is an incredible friend."

Jesse looked to his niece sadly "I was about to say that everyone else would be there to support you, but that's probably not true. Cooter, Lulu, maybe Boss and we will be there. . .and of course Enos and his Granny, but as for the rest of Hazzard, I don't know."

Martha smiled "You feel bad for Daisy?"

Andrew looked surpprised as he thought it would be later "Is it okay to go back to sleep now mama?"

Jesse hugged her close "It's all right baby. I suppose you don't have to, but everyone else--" Then he trailed off realizing that that might have been a lie he was about to say.

Martha just sat beside him "What's the matter?"

Andrew was glad to see his mama smile and then he yawned "Mama what time is it?"
