Luke looked angry with his checks set and he retorted back, "Look, if she's your girl, you'd better pay attention! She's wasting away to nothing!" Ernie replied, "I like MY women small." Coach Hacker yelled, "Duke. Bench, now." Luke signed and headed for the bench. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Beverly saw Bo wave at Dixie and said, "Your gonna not be so popular around the cheerleaders waving at him." Dixie said, "Why?" Beverly replied, "Cause they all want to date him of Luke." Dixie asked, "Even you?" Beverly replied, "Well, I'd likely go out with either of them, but I'd really rather go out with your brother." "Really?" Dixie replied with a smile. "That might can be arranged."

Luke sighed and looked to Lori saying, "Look I told you I love and I do. You are the one talking to Ernie Ledbetter. I haven't seen anyone else since the press box incident. Remember, I'm grounded too for life if not longer?" Lori replied, "Sure that's why everytime I turn around you are smiling or talking to Robin?" Luke sighed, "No. She was telling me about somethings I left at her house the other day. That's all." Luke lied. He had spent a couple very sleepless nights planning how and what he'd have to do if she was pregnant. But, no sense bringing that up now. Lori headed back towards the practice not saying anything else. Luke shook his head and went beck to his practice as Robin was coming off the field. She stopped in front of him and said, "Hey, ah, it's OK. Don't keep worrying." Luke sighed in relief. "Great. Thanks." He looked up to see Lori looking right at him.

After school, Robin waited for Luke to come out of class. She also had cheerleading practice and knew he had football practice. Luke came out and they fell in step together. Robin said, "I don't want to cause you and Lori problems. Everyone knows about yesturday evening, but I have something I need to talk to you about." Luke looked at her. She was dead serious. He swallowed hard, said, "OK." and waited. Robin said, "I think I might be, ...... ah, ...... never mind!" She chickened out. Luke grabbed her wrist, "Robin. Talk to me." "Never mind. I don't know for sure." she said. Luke did the math. It had been about six weeks since they had been together. He father was a stickler. He preferred Luke to say he was staying with her brother Mark and 'sleep' with her in her room at his house as apposed to going to a hotel or getting caught in the press box or back seat. Her father had been more worried about her reputation than Luke fulfilling any obligations to her. He knew Jesse would handle that end if the need arose. He had backed her against the wall more by his presence than by force, "Talk to me! Please?" Robin took a deep breath, bit her lip and whispered, "I don't know for sure, but I'm late." Luke felt his heart in his throat. He broke out in a sweat even though it was fall. He closed his eyes and prayed before asking, "How late?" Robin whispered, "Ten days of so." "****!" Luke swore. Then, added, "Ok, wait, let's see here, I last stayed at your house the first game. That was say a month and a half ago?" Robin said, "Yeah." She paused, "Luke there has 'been' no one else." Luke replied more calmly than he felt, "Just find out. I'm putting everything on 'hold' here, huh?" Robin knew Luke well enough to know what he meant. She replied, "I'll lie , tell Doc something, but I'll find out for sure. Just thought you should know." Luke found it hard to swallow, let alone talk, but managed, a "Yeah. Let me know, huh?" Robin nodded as she made her way to the field for practice. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dixie had wished her and Bo had time to explore further, but the sound of the PA cutting on had interupted. She had finally gathered the nerve to let Bo move ahead and now they were interupted! Just her luck!

Luke replied, he clentched his fists and teeth, "What's with ME?" He asked fully tensed but in a low tone. "I get with in 10 feet of you and I get punished for life! I'm in the same county as an ex girlfriend and you act like you caught me in the ACT with HER! WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME?" Then he mumbled to himself, 'just might be you that's wrong with me!' Lori heard him say something else and asked, "What?" Luke replied, "Never mind!" He knew this was going to be a looooonnnnnngggggg day from hell."

Luke saw it and got mad he looked to Lori and said, "Oh you can come on to anybody and I get bi---ed at for speaking to a friend?" "An EX GIRLFRIEND!" Lori screamed. The teacher glared at them all!

Luke found it a lot painful to set on the kitchen chairs, but he tried not to let on. He had also been read so many Bible verses he heard them in his sleep. Jesse was more mad at the circumstances of him being caught with a girl than him actually being caught with a girl. Jesse had tried to teach the boys to play the field yes, but not to put the girls or themselves in a situation to cause the families undo attention. Jesse knew as Luke would find out that word of the event had circulated throughout the county and even to Chichasaw County were Hazzard played Firday. Of course Chickasaw County's team was ready to throw a party at Luke being benched. Once at school Luke and Lori were to report to the office first thing. The coach had to meet with the principal and notify him of the incident and his actions as well as Ms. White's report. She had been glad to see how the experienced coach handled this. On his way down the hall Robin stopped Luke. "Hey, can we talk sometime?" Luke looked confused, but replied, "I'm good with that, but I don't know when. I'm grounded and on my way to the office." Robin nodded, "Yeah, I sort of heard about yesturday, but this is kind of important. Look me up when you can?" Luke gave her a mre confused look but agreed, "Yeah, sure thing."

Coach Hacker was in his office when he heard the unique sound of the PA turn on. He thought it was strange. He slide his chair back from the desk as the reason for the PA being turned on became clearer. He had been Hazzard's coach too long not to know what was going on. Trouble was he still had to go find out who. He headed for the press box. Ms. White was still putting up uniforms where the girls had been looking for extra pieces when she heard the PA system come on. She hadn't been there long and didn't pay any attention until the other sounds became clearer. She headed towards Coach Hackers office and was met by him heading towards the press box. When he saw her he said, "Oh, good. Glad you're still here. Come on!" Coach Hacker said. He was glad to have another party especially a female witness to what he figured he'd find. In the press box, Luke and Lori couldn't hear the sounds that were being amplified through out Hazzard field. Luke was just about to 'help' Lori out of her bra as the door to the press box opened. The sight Coach Hacker and Ms. White saw was Luke Duke attempting to get Lori Davenport's bra off as she stood there without her shirt on. Luke's shirt was wide open as was his pants. Coach Hacker quickly turned away, but said in a firm but steady voice, "Mr. Duke, Ms. Davenport you have thirty seconds to dress before we go call your parents!" When the door was opening Lori had quickly grabbed her bra to keep it from falling as she tried to cover herself. Luke swore wisely to himself as he button and zipped his jeans and snapped a couple snaps on his shirt while tring to tuck it in. Lori had grabbed her pull over top, put it on, and ditched her bra in her back pocket. It was quicker and eaiser than trying to put it back on. He-- she was already caught why try to hide it now? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Once in Coach Hackers office, he asked, "Luke you're how old?" Luke knew he was n for it. "Seventeen." "Ms. Davenport?" Coach asked. "I'm seventeen too." Lori replied. He reached for his emergency list which had both families numbers on it. Then he reached for the phone. Luke almost begged, "Coach can't we talk about this? You don't really have to call home do you? Maybe just punish us here." Coach replied, "Yes, I do. We'll talk about your punishment here once Jesse gets here." Luke sighed. He was sunk and he knew it! Lori

When Luke saw Andy and BL he knew what was up with them. No he wouldn't tell on them and for once he hoped BL could keep her trap shut. He looked at Lori and said in a whisper, "I've got an idea. Come on." He lead her up the back way to the press box. The door was of course locked to prevent just what Luke had planned. He took his knife out and jimmied the lock easily. He made a sweeping motion with his arm in a 'it's all your's to enter' motion. Lori grinned. "That was way too easy. You've done that before." Luke shrugged his shoulders, "Maybe." Lori for once didn't want to fight, "Spare me the details." "I'd planned to." Luke said as he took her in his arms. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Meanwhile Bo was......

Luke sighed and said, "Come on. Let me walk you to class?" Lori sighed,"Ohhhh you mean you can actually do that without looking at Robin?" Luke rolled his eyes. He was glad he was standing behind Lori. "I don't even remember seeing HER." Luke said. He was getting hot. Lori looked up to him and humphed,"Alright geesh, cool it hot stuff." "Now what did I do? Do you want me to walk you to class or what?" Luke asked. He was about ready to walk. Lori threw her hand up in the air,"Yea sure, plain t' see I can't have no fun with my own boyfriend." Luke put his arm around Lori and said as they walked away from the other girls, "Now, that wasn't TOTALLY my fault. I wouldn't have told and neither would Bo or Daisy either."

Luke whispered to Lori, "Think ya can come over after I get the chores done?" Lori replied, "What makes you think I want to?" Luke looked shocked. "Huh?" Lori glared, "After smiling like you did at Robin?" Luke asked innocently, "I did? When?"

Jesse looked to Luke after pulling out. "Luke you know I don't approve of you boys leading girls on. I heard you telling Lori you loved her. I know you love all the Davenports as family, but you know how girls can be. I also, know how you and Robin have been this year." Luke hung his head. He had been in a pretty good mood ater talking to Luther. "I do love her." Jesse added, "But, not like Robin?" Luke nodded 'no', "No, but, I don't know that we'll get back together." "But, you would if the chance came up?" Jesse asked. Luke sighed, "I wouldn't hurt Lori or just dump her, but I would eventually like to get back with Robin but believe me she is wrapped up in that Riddle guy." Jesse nodded, "I certainly hope you were carefully because I fully expect you to take full resposiblity for your actions." Luke said, "I know." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dixie just hoped she could manage to get to her room without being in the cross fire.

Luke smiled and said, "Hey, there. You still grounded, I suppose." Lori rolled her eyes, "Yes, of course. You too huh?" "Yeah," Luke sighed, "I've had one set of car keys in my hand all week and that was because Tilly needed timed. I should have been at the field an hour ago. If Bo is lucky he'll be Ok Monday, I may be grounded for life or longer." Lori half laughed, "It can't be that bad can it?" Luke replied, "Oh, it's worse. Remember, I still am 'invited' to talk to your Dad too." Lori .....

Uncle Jesse and Luke sat down and said, "Luke now you are the oldest. Do you know what kind of message you are sending Bo, Daisy and the others?" Luke replied with a sigh, "I didn't think of that, I guess." Uncle Jesse told him, "I intend to give you a long while to think about it. Would you want Daisy staying out all night with several boys?" "No." Luke siad quickly. "Luther isn't real thrilled that Lori, BL and Dixie were with you two all night." Jesse said and then continued, "I'm sure that he will make that point clear to you himself when he sees you."

Dawn broke the next morning waking Cooter and Luke up about the same time. Luke nudged Lori, "It's morning. We need to get home before Jesse and Luther send Rosco looking for us." Lori nodded, "Yeah!" She quickly got her clothes straightened and wished she had a brush which she didn't have. Her hair was a horrible wreck. She followed Luke downstairs to find Cooter waking up the others.

Luke smiled and replied, "Yeah, I do mean that." When he said that he only thought of his ex girlfriend for a split second. He pretty well knew that they would get back together sooner or later. They had been doing that for over a year now. The first year had been good, but then they had been on and off for several months. Lori smiled pleased as punch. She knew dating any of the Dukes put her in envy of every girl in school. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dixie said, "Daisy how far can you go with a guy and not get a bad reputation? I want to be popular but not for the wrong reasons." Daisy looked at her and thought before answering, "Well, Sugar, you can't go real far at all. I heard this one time that Maggie Hartkins went and did it with Bobby Ray and shes not all that popular, why??? ohh my did Bo ask you??!!!" Dixie blushed, "No he didn't 'ask' me, but he's trying things." Daisy giggled and said,"Well maybe if you only go sooo far then see if he'll stop, maybe you can get popular that way!" "But what if he don't stop? How far is OK and how far is tooo far?" Dixie asked. She knew she couldn't talk to her Mom or Dad about this. Daisy looked down and humphed,"Well I dont know honey, I've never did it before with anyone. But I think going tooo far is like what Luke and Lori is doing...but they are older too." Dixie felt a little better now, "So if he's wanting to see or feel then that's sorta OK?" Daisy nodded,"Sure, theres no harm in that!!" Dixie said, "I just know how guys talk. I wouldn't want it to get out that I did something wrong. Besides Dad and Cooter killing me, I don't want a 'bad reputation." Daisy said,....

Luke nibbed Lori's neck some more trying to relax her before he made another move. Lori was really nervous as Luke moved closer. Several hours later he layed holding Lori. He finally asked, "Are you ok?" Lori nodded and cuddled closer to Luke. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dixie's problem with Bo's moves on her was that she had been preached to by her mother about being a 'good girl'. At the age of thirteen there was a fine line between being popular and being talked about. Bo was the first guy to ever want to want to get 'friendly' with her so she wasn't sure how far to let him go before stopping him. She would have to catch Daisy without BL around so she could talk to her about this. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Meanwhile back at the Davenport farm, curfew had come and gone without so much as a phone call from any of the kids. Luther picked up the phone and called Jesse to see if they had made it back there. Jesse answered, "Duke farm." He hoped it was Luke saying they were at Cooter's and would be home soon. Luther Davenport asked his long time friend, "Jesse have the kids made it back to your place?" "No, Luther, they haven't. I was hoping that they were at your place." Jesse answered. Luther said with concern, "I was looking outside at it's really foggy out tonight." Jesse....

Luke and Lori were doing some real heavy petting. Luke said quietly, "I'll only go as far as you want." Lori replied breathing heavily, "It doesnt matter to me honey as far as you want to go," Luke said, "Yes, it does matter, Honey. I don't force myself on anyone." Lori swallowed hard and smiled,"I know you don't and that's why I lov....." Lori stopped and looked to Luke he knew what she was going to say. Luke smiled. She had never told him she loved him before. He brushed her hair back from her face and whisperd, "I have protection. Do you want to?" Lori nodded, 'yes'. She did want to but she was trembling like she was freezing to death. Luke smiled at her and gently said. "We can stop anytime you want." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Meanwhile Bo and Dixie were downstairs having a little fun of their own talking and what not. Bo was glad Cooter was a sound sleeper as he intended to play a little touchy, feely. Dixie was very shy and innocent. She wasn't at all sure she liked this.

Luke said, "Here I get my chance to sleep with you and we have both our famlies along for a slumber party!" Lori said a bit disappointed, "Yeah." Truth be told Luke was a bit disappointed in having so much company with them too. He had hoped for a whole lot of privacy tonight.

Luke and Cooter were up and gone leaving Bo, Dixie and Lori behind as they raced up the steps. By this time Luke had figured out that the noises he heard had to have been Daisy and BL. "Where are you two?" Panicked female voices called out, "HERE!" Cooter and Luke started checking doors. Luke found one that was locked or stuck. "Daisy?" "Yeah, we're right here!" Daisy cried. Luke put his shoulder to the stuck door. It didn't budge. "Cooter, here give me a hand." Both hit the door as hard as they could before it opened to find a terrified Daisy and BL.

Luke looked to Cooter and said rolling his eyes at Dixie, "I was kidding her. I asked her if she was sleeping with me tonight? I didn't MEAN it like THAT!" Cooter just grunted. Luke looked at Cooter and reminded, "You know we're going to be in hot water tomorrow." It was likely they'd all be in trouble but with Luke and Cooter being the oldest in each family they would be in more trouble. Cooter

B.L. said frightened, "Is he dead?" Daisy saw the paint that looked alot like blood, "Oh, my God I don't know." Luke layed deathly still, even holding his breath. Lori...... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Luke hope that Lori was just scared enough to hold on extra tight. Luke had no clue that he was about to get some help in this department from Daisy and BL. Luke and Lori started walking through the old cemetery. Luke pointed to a grave, "That's the grave of old Henry Sloan. Uncle Jesse tells that he use to hide money out back of his fishin' shack. Seems that on Halloween he'd dig it all up and count it to keep the evil spirits from getting the money. This story had gotten out and most of Hazzard thought he was crazy. But, some guys from out of town heard some men talking about old man Sloan. They were able to get enough information to find Mr. Sloan. They watched him long enough for him to dig up all his money. The guys from out of town killed Mr. Sloan and took the money. They say that now, every Halloween he walks the County looking for his money. Sooo" At that very moment BL stepped on a dry branch and it cracked under her foot. It even surprised Luke, especially when Lori jumped closer to him.

He smiled saying, "Yeah, Lori." "Luke as soon as I can I'm planning on going back to singing. It'll mean being gone at times quiet a bit. With Luke in school and well Katie so little,......" She paused, it was against her nature to aslk for help, "Is there anyway, you could watch them if I have to be gone?" Luke smiled. He never thought he'd hear her say it. "Absolutely! I'd love to." He left out the part that he was often gone too but he knew Dixie would keep them. ~~~~~~~~~~ As he drove home, Luke pictured the sight with all five kids there. It would be almost like having 6 year old twins and newborn tripletts. He could only imagine the next family reunion with his five little ones, BL and Konrad's new arrival due any day and Bo and Beth's not that far away. Jesse always wanted a house full of Dukes. They all though he had just that with Bo's five kids and now the new one expected, but then throw in Luke's five and Konrad's one that was an eve dozen children for the next generation of Dukes. LUke was sure that the teachers and Rosco would be thrilled!

Dixie handed him the keys to 'his' truck, "Thought you might want to drive this." Luke laughed, "You just want me to take you riding on a bumpy road to hurry things up!" Dixie had been nervous about talking to Luke. She knew what she wanted but she wasn't sure what he wanted. For the first time in months she gave a geniue laugh, "If it works, it works. I feel like a house." Luke drove to their spot down by the lake. It was where they had been caught in the back seat of the General Lee so long ago. He helped Dixie to make sure she didn't fall on the loose rocks on the rolling hill going to the lake. Once at the big old Oak tree Luke took a seat on the ground with Dixie setting in front of him. They set there for hours not saying anything. This was the nature of their relationship. Words weren't necessary for them to have a conversation. Finally Luke broke the silence, "For the first time in months something feels right." Dixie looked back into his eyes, "So have you figured anything out yet?" Luke nodded, "Yeah, I'll always love you both, but in far different ways. I love the boys and the new little ones. Sweetheart, if you'll have me back....." Luke felt Dixie trembling. She suddenly turned towards him and wrapped around his neck still crying. Luke wrapped his arms around her and let her cry for awhile. Finally, he asked, "What's with the waterworks?" Dixie looked him in the eyes she said as she gasped between crying and talking, "I've, ....... waited, ...... sooooooo, ...... looonnngggggg, ........ to hear you, ....... say that." she paussed trying to catch her breath, "I thought you'd,...... never, ...... come back, ....... home." "I will if you'll still have me. I'm an a--! I'm so sorry for everything I have ever put you through." Luke said seriously. Dixie still sniffling said in a voice that was barely heard, "Come home, please." Luke nodded 'yes'. Dixie buried her face in his shoulder and cried happy tears. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Friday came and it was time for Luke and Dixie's divorce hearing. They had both been served notices to eb there so they would go together and explain that they had changed their minds. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Meanwhile Lori.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~

No one noticed Dixie holding her side as they waited for Todd to show up. She'd had a few pains lately but she knew she was still OK. Luke said, "Ok, I'll pull the General Lee out front and Cooter put Midnight over by where I'll be so I can get tohim quick when he runs." They moved the cars to let Todd know Lori and Luke were at the garage. Hopefully, he'd come looking for trouble.
