From the album: My patrol car

  2. As far as I can tell (at least) 2 cars were used: - When they show Black Tillie the first time (Jesse driving it out of the bar at his farm), it has the 'formal' roof style (upper class Galaxie or LTD, square roof, frameless doors). It is also seen when leaving the "Department of Environmental Protection" - Later on, at the roadblock, it has the 'rounded' roof style and doors with metal frames. Like a base Galaxie or Custom. This is also the one seen at the end, when they run out of 'fuel' :-D But with everything covered in black & dark green paint, I can't see what the actual model of both cars is...
  3. Hi Jimmie, This is Werner, from Belgium. This is not Dukes related, but: I was wondering what is favorite food? Mine is steak with fries; and chocolate for desert (not together of course :-D ). I was very lucky to briefly see you for an autograph at DukesFest 2006. It was very hot, I had some Belgian chocolate bars for all the cast, but I only managed to give one to Rick Hurst in person, he liked it. I had to leave the rest at the media/organiser's stand because it was melting under the blazing sun. I asked them to hand them to the cast members, but I seriously doubt they ever got that far, they were very busy with so many visitors. So, if you never got it, I'll try to bring some again if I go to a next DukesFest (and try to keep it cool unit I get to your line) Thanks, and I'm looking forward to your book. Werner

    map of Hazzard

OK, this is taking longer then expected. But I have written down remarks and sctetches for all episodes. There's so much I don't know where to start the actual map. I think I'm gonna start with map of 'downtown' Hazzard, then another one on a larger scale for the entire county.

    map of Hazzard

Thanks! I'm getting started, I'm gonna write comments and/or draw little schematic maps for each episode and then try to weave them together... That list of categories is great, a good way to organise everything.
  6. This is really interesting. I've been wanting to make some kind of map of (what could be) Hazzard County. Still need to get started though. I'm gonna watch the California episodes and write down whenever they give a road name or 'geographic reference'. But there will indeed be lots of inconsistencies. Here's 2 pieces of info I remember from Daisy's Shotgun Wedding, just watched it an hour ago: there they say there are 2 roads leading from the Duke farm to town (Hazzard): Pond Road and Ridge Road. And the farm is a 2-hour trip from the Tennessee border (where the Baudry hideout is, in the Chattahoochee Hills, TN). But driving like crazy, the General Lee did in 1 hr. So that would place the farm & Hazzard about 90 , 100 miles into Georgia, south of Tennessee. Also, the "real" position of the farm, the Boar's Nest and the town (relative to each other) in Georgia seems fairly story-correct. I'm also gonna use Warner Bros town square, that's the one we saw most. Give me a year or so to make my map, then we can compare :-D
  7. Wow that will be interesting to see Which town are you using for Hazzard? Covington or Warner Brothers? I have a copy of the Hazzard County road map, just like Cletus is selling to passing cars in "The Great Hazzard Hijack". Got it via eBay.
  8. Because it's "the beginning"-story of the 2005 movie, not the series. Didn't like it: Too much adult / bad language. Uncle Jesse in the movie urges the Boys to jump any girl that walks by. Come on, what is that?! The real uncle Jesse would never say that. And too little General Lee action. I COULD MAYBE have liked it if they would have made it "the beginning" of the original series. I mean: set in the late 60s / early 70s, with actors looking and - especially - behaving like younger versions of the 1978 real Dukes. The original cast could then have been included as ancestors: like John as Bo's father, Tom as Luke's father, Jimmie as Rosco's fathers, Cathy as Daisy's mom, etc etc etc. And in the true Dukes family value spirit. Such a movie would be great. Hint for Jimmie & John as a new project? Cheers, Wekke
  9. Star Wars meets Dukes of Hazzard: Wookiee posing with General Lee :-D
  10. Collectormania 8 - Oct.02, 2005 - U.K. (Europe) Catherine was sooo nice to everyone. She even took some time from her busy schedule to come to a stand that had a General Lee replica, to have pictures taken there with her fans. Thanks Catherine !!!! Wernie
  11. This was in England, Europe, at a movie convention in a mall a one-hour drive north of London. When I heard Catherine would be there, I booked a ticket on the North Sea Tunnel train and drove all the way there from Belgium. The guy in the blue shirt is Nick Stahl, from Terminator 3. William Shatner was there too. In hindsight a risky trip considering the iffy condition of my old Oldsmobile, but would do it again without a doubt.
  12. Hey y'all, I'm looking for a 1977-78 Dodge Monaco / Plymouth Fury 4-door sedan ("downsized" midsize model ; not the fullsize Royal Monaco/Gran Fury) 75-76 Dodge Coronet / Plymouth Fury also OK. It should be in the Los Angeles area. I'm from Belgium, but the people that could help me transport have a base in L.A., so they could check it out for me. - Engine: V8 only, no 6 cyl. - Transm.: Automatic (& column-mounted shifter) - Condition: Well-running car. No projects. Original version (no customizing). - All paperwork must be OK (registration, clear title, etc …). This is a must for customs clearance and re-registration here. - Interior (preferably beige) nice & clean. - Body & chassis: No rust (neither surface nor 'rot' & rusting through). - Faded / old paint ok, is not necessarily a problem. “Straight†body , no 'accident-car'. - Mechanically 100 % in good condition : engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, steering, etc... (not too high mileage and well maintained; without bad seals/gaskets & bearings; no knocking- & ticking noises, no slipping transmissions, etc. …). The reason it should be in very nice condition is simple: In the USA junkyards are full of parts, but here in Belgium spare parts are nearly impossible to find, so car must be good from the start. Any info will be highlyt appreciated. ------ A Dukes fan in Belgium wanting to make a Rosco cop car... Wekke
  13. As you all well know, after the first 5 episodes in Georgia, the filming crew moved to California. Here is a "today" aerial view of the Warner Bros studios used as Hazzard town square.
  14. What a small world... Pleased to meet y'all. I'm the guy from Belgium, thanks for the visit. DukesFest was just awesome! If it's possibly financially, I certainly wanna do this again. Wekke
