Bo could tell there was something on Luke's mind as soon as the gentle hold that Luke had on him tightened slightly, protectivly and he saw the need to protect flare in his older cousin's eyes. He knew then what Luke was thinking, and truth be told he was seriously thinking about it too. The last episode had scared him good, it had hurt so bad that he had had to have pain killers to help him get over it....what would haopen if that happened again? They couldn't stop and get help... But as he looked over his family, he decided that he just couldn't let them go without him. The desire to protect his family was too great to ignore. He would go and he would take care of himself, he would have to to make the plan work.
-
Bo wanted to move around and help on Jesse's instructions, but the firm look he got from Daisy told him to stay put and he was relieved when Luke stayed with him. He relaxed into his cousin's hold, happy to be going home and being restless to get after the guys who had caused so much worry to himself and his family.
-
Bo grinned and let out a Yeee Hawww, not nearly as loud as it usually is and still sounding a bit weak, but it was the best he could muster to show everyone how happy he was. He immediatly reached for his drink afterwards, taking slow sips. He winced slightly as Luke slapped his shoulder and then turned to Daisy. "Is everythin'...sorted out....fer tonight?" Daisy nodded, hugging her younger cousin and Luke. "Yeah, everyone knows what they're doin'...we're meetin' at 7 at the farm." Bo nodded, grim determination now settling in his eyes.
-
Bo smiled at his family, B.L Was practically to him anyway. He loved the fact that he was indeed getting better....but how much better was still down to the doctors to decide. He felt his legs get shaky from standing up and gently eased himself to sitting on the bed, half of him wanting to lay down, but the other half not.
-
Daisy stepped back in and nearly froze in shock when she saw Bo. After seeing him lying in a bed so still, motionless and pale for so long, the sight of him standing up, fully clothed with a grin that would look to anyone like he didnt have a care in the world on his face was overwhelming. She walked forward and wrapped her youngest cousin in a long hug. "Oh Bo, you look so much better." Bo smiled and returned the hug. "S'thanks to....you as...welll as Luke and Everybody else....couldnb't have got this....far without you...all of you...."
-
For one, Bo felt completly and utterly embarrassed and humiliated at having to be dressed, and he knew that Luke and Uncle Jesse knew that so he didn't bother mentioning it. He shifted in his clothes, enjoying the feel of the familiar cloth on his skin and the colours that now loomed back up at him. He looked perfectly normal now, and he felt much better for it. He grinned and lent against the bed. "Much....better....look normal....again...."
-
Bo glares at Luke, almost daring him to make some sort of comment like that again. "Quit with....the lame jokes.....and help me...would ya...." Daisy grabbed B.L's arm and pulled her from the room as Bo pushed the covers aside and swung his legs over the side of the bed.
-
Daisy smiled at B.L and Luke, watching as Bo also smiled and fingered his yellow shirt and jeans. She could see the anticipation in his eyes at the clothing before him, she knew once he was in them, there would be no stopping him. She smiled and took his hand. "When Luke gets back, he'll help ya into them with Uncle Jesse while me and B.L wait outside....wait till the doctor gets a load of you in your clothes." Bo nodded and smiled, unbeknownst to evryone else, he was trying to keep himself calm about Luke leaving the room.
-
Bo pulls a face at her that clearly went 'Oh ha ha'. Daisy had to laugh at her friend and her youngest cousin along with Luke. It was so good to hear that Bo was starting to return to his normal self. Now all they had to do was wait on the doctor. "Oh boys, I brought these for you too." She dived into the bag again and tossed them the car magazines, smiling as he saw Bo's face light up as he reached for one and instantly started lficking through the pages. "Oh Bo hang on, it gets better." She pulled the remainder of the contents out, handing Luke his spare change of clothes and then placing Bo's on the bed. "Though you could both use a change." Bo could have clapped and yelled out loud as he saw his clothes, although he decided not to because of his throat and he decided Luke probably wouldn't approve of it, let alone Uncle Jesse.
-
Daisy smiled and shook her head as Bo smiled gratefully at her, letting him know that it was nothing, she was more than happy to see him smiling again, that was thanks enough. She gently sat beside Bo on the bed, slipping her arm around his shoudlers and resting her head on her arm, gently squeezing Bo's hand. "Hey Bo....you have the IV's out!" Bo looked down at his hand and smiled back rememebering, nodding his head. "Ah Bo that's wonderful sugar." She leant up and kissed his forehead, at which he grinned wider. "I know....ain't it...just...great..." Bo had to laugh as Daisy nearly fell of the bed in shock. She turned wide eyed to her youngest cousin. "You can talk again?" "Yeah...so long as....take it...easy..."
-
Daisy smiled and shook her head. "Not evreything, just somethings." Bo gently sipped the drink, blinking slightly as he realised it wasn't water which was what he had been expecting. He wanted to drink a bit faster, but the fact he had to keep taking long breaths between sips didnt help, nor did the fact that swallowing the liquid was still painful. Somehow he managed to drink a fair bit before leaning back and smiling thankfully at Daisy and B.L
-
Daisy slowly shook her head as B.L mouthed the explanation and started to say something before Bo sat up. Luke was of course, instantly there to soothe him. She looked as B.L made a motion and snapped her fingers happily and ducked down to get the can from the bag, handing it to Luke. "Here Luke, give him this. It should help settle his stomach a bit."
-
Daisy frowned and shook her head. She knew B.L wouldn't do this to Bo and she knew if Bo even caught a glimpse of her doing or saying anything like that he would have something to say about it, despite the fact that he, as far as she knew, still couldn't talk. Bo swallowed and sat up, reaching out for Luke as he clutched his stomach trembling.
-
The pain releif kicked in fairly quickly and gradually Bo was able to get his breathing back under his control. He leant into Daisy's gentle touches with the cold flannel, feeling too weak to actually say or do anything other than that. Daisy smiled as she felt Bo nuzzle gently into her touch. She saw the look on B.L's face however and cast a questioning glance over to her and Luke.
-
"It sure does. Now you git, i'll get these to Bo." She watched as Jesse headed off down the corridor and smiled as she picked up the bag and headed into Bo's room, arriving just as the nurse was leaving. She stepped inside and gasped slightly at Bo's obvious, laboured breathing. She walked gently over to the bed, calming slightly as she sees Luke and B.L with him, soothing him. She stood next to Luke, putting the bag next to her feet and picking up the cold washcloth to dab gently at his face, not saying a word, hearing how Bo was trying to regulate his breathing with Luke's.
-
She smiled at her Uncle and hugged him again before moving to let him go past, but she quickly remember and called him. "Uncle Jesse! Everythin' is set fer tonight. Alan and his men are gonna meet us and Cooter at the farm at 7 to move into position at half past." Bo rubbed his chest in a vain attempt to get it to stop hurting. He nodded as Luke asked about getting him something for the pain, groaning slightly as the B.L raised the head of the bed.
-
Daisy laughed "That sounds like the Bo we know and love." As Uncle Jesse pointed she nodded and smiled "Yeah, I picked Luke and Bo up some fresh clothes. I though maybe Bo'd feel more comfortable in his proper clothes than a hospital gown. Got some car magazines fer 'em to read and I brought Bo a couple of cans of this." She reached into the bag and brought out one of the cans. "I checked with the Doc and he said s'fine as long as the top was clenaed, which it has been." Bo tried again to copt Luke's breathing but only winced and gasped alightly. "Can't...can't...hurts...."
-
Daisy walked down the corridor to Bo's room, smiling as she saw Uncle Jesse walking towards her. She put the bag gently on the floor and wrapped her arms round her Uncle's neck as he reached her. "How's he doin' Uncle Jesse?" Bo gradually managed to hear Luke's breathing underneath everything else and fought to get it back to how Luke's was, gripping Luke's hand slightly as he felt pain shoot through his chest with every too deep a breath.
-
Bo sighed as best he could through brethlessness and slight pain as both B.L and Luke caught him. He hated this so much. He knew he was about to get some sort of reprimanding off of Luke, therefore he didn't even respond when he recieved it. He groaned thankfully as Jesse pressed the cool flannel to his face and neck, feeling quite hot the cool water soothed him a little. He took Jesse's arm and allowed him, Luke and B.L to help him over to a chair by the open window, trying to hear Luke's breathing in amoungst the others that were close to him to pick up the steady pace.
-
Bo didn't want to stop the play with B.L. This was the most fun he had had since this whole ordeal had started...yet the painful contractions os his chest as he breathed told him that he was over doing it, and he released B.L, reaching out to Luke for support as he stumbled backwards slightly.
-
She nodded and smiled gratefully back at the doctor. The words had comforted her more than hearing Bo say he was alright, because it came from someone more professional, someone who knew what they were doing...but somehow she didn't think that when the doctor said he was going to discharge Bo, that he meant for Bo to be sitting shotgun in a car as it raced along a road to catch the bad guys who had done this. Swallowing the terrified lump in her throat, she thanked the doctor and headed back to the room, stopping at the nurses station to get some disinfectant wipes for the cans to be washed with. Bo grinned wider as B.L practically collapsed laughing. "Come on....B.L all you's got....ta do is....tell me..."
-
Daisy tensed slightly, growing even more angry at the people who had hurt her little cousin so badly. "Well is there anyway fer you to check if he was? I mean, if it's still in his system then it could come back if aggrivated?" Bo grinned. "Fine....if you's won't....willingly....tell me....I'll have...ta make ya...." Brings his hands down and tickles her ribs
-
Daisy smiled back at the doctor, nodding thankfully. "That's great....well the other thing I wanted to know was...well....Bo's chest infection...before this happened he was perfectly healthy. As the week drew on he was sleep deprived and mal nourished because he wasn't eating and he was stressed too it was obvious....but there was never anything else wrong with him. It just seems like this appeared out the blue, and I was wondering if maybe....maybe it had something to do with the guys who got him so worried? Bo mentioned that they drugged him with something or other and he was knocked out for a good time....is it possible that they injected him with something or did something to him to bring this on?" Bo grinned back at her. "I know when....you's hidin' something.... cause.... you get the same twinkle... in yer eye as.... I do when... I's hidin' something....come on what is it..."
-
Daisy had a serious look on her face, suddenly a little afraid to ask the questions she wanted to incase she didn't like the answers or she made it worse for Bo, but she knew she had to otherwise it would eat away at her. "Well, I'll start with the easy one first. I brought a couple o'cans of Bo's favourite drink to cheer him up a little, would it be alright if he has them?" Bo chuckled as B.L whirled in his hold to face him, returning the smile she gave him. She was the first one not to chide him for being up on his feet and not resting. But then he noticed the secretive gleam in her eye and frowned slightly. "What you's hidin'?"
-
Daisy poked her head round the door, smiling hello to Uncle Jesse and waving to Luke and Bo before she ducked back out again and took off down the corridor to find a doctor. She didn't want to worry Bo yet by voicing her concerns about his illness and didn't want to surprise him with the drinks until she got permission from the doctor for him to have them. She finally caught up with the doctor in charge of Bo's care. "Urm, excuse me. Can I ask you a couple of things?" Bo laughed slightly and decided it would be funny to see just how much he could shock B.L. When she turned her back on him to talk with Uncle Jesse, he quickly shot a mischivious glance to Luke and whispered his plan. Swinging his legs off the bed and slowing his breathing to make it as quiet as Luke's, which he had requested Luke do so he could copy, he gingerly walked forward with Luke's support to behind B.L. He wrapped his arms round her waist and whispered in her ear. "How you....holdin' up....B.L?"
