Daisy smiled gently at her friend. "I'm doin' a lot better now thanks to you and Uncle Jesse. I's goin' back to the farm to get things set up fer the plan later. GOin' to see Cooter to get the General checked and all, calling state police that kinda thing. And also pickin' up some clothes for Bo. If he's walkin' around I don't think he's gonna be none too happy 'bout doin' it in a hospital gown. Did you wanna come or are you gonna stay here and help keep some sort of control over the boys wth Uncle Jesse?"
-
Daisy nodded and stretched, lifting herself gently from the seat. "I'll go find B.L, if Bo's gonna be walking around I don't think he's gonna be too comfortable in a hospital gown. Me and B.L can go back to the farm and pick up a couple of things, get Cooter on board with the plan and get him to check the cars over, especially General Lee." She hugged Jesse gently. "Tell Bo i'm real sorry 'bout taking off like that." With that, she headed off down to the cafeteria, searching out B.L. Upon entering she looked around, ignoring some of the male eyes that landed upon her, completly forgetting she was still in her Boar's Nest waitressing outfit, which consisted of a pair of very short shorts. She soon spotted her friend and alone at a table and crossed over to her, sitting opposite. "Hey....you alright?"

Bo smiled as he felt Luke drift off into sleep and he looked up slightly, relieved to see that in fact his plan had worked and his older cousin was getting the sleep that Bo had unwillingly deprived him of. He had to chuckle slightly as he thought of what a role revesal this was. Usually it was Luke thinking up all the plans and Luke having to practically pin Bo to the bed to get him to rest. It felt nice to know that if the time called for it, Luke trusted Bo enough to let the roles switch and go along with what Bo wanted to do sometimes. He snuggled further into his cousin's strong embrace and gently closed his eyes. feeling calmed and reassured by the strong heartbeat he could hear next to his ear. He didn't care of the doctor came in now and heard his rasping breaths. No one could tear him away from Luke now, he wouldn't let them, and he hoped that Luke wouldn't let them either as he finally succumbed to the gentle sleep that Luke's heartbeat and reassuring embrace lulled him into.
-
Bo smiled gently back at Luke as his eyes drifted closed. Part of the point of getting Luke onto the bed was indeed to persuade him to get the rest that he obviously desperatly needed, but the other part was because he wanted to feel comforted, like Luke comforted him when they were back at that farm and he was il. Just the little things like feeling Luke's breaths rippling through his hair, or feeling his strong muscled arm wrapped protectivly around his waist. It made him feel safe and secure and he needed nothing more than that at the moment. As Luke proped himself up on one elbow, he wrapped his arm aroundLuke's waist and snuggled gently into his side, rubbing his back gently to try and get him to sleep like he was going to do.
-
Bo smiled through the pain in his throat, although it wasn't as bad as it had been previously. He hugged Luke back feircly, refusing to let him go at that moment. He gently pulled him closer, bringing him to lie on the bed with him.
-
Bo nodded, and inside he told himself to go ahead with what he had been planning to do. Now seemed as good a time as any...he was just scared of what Luke might say, or how this could affect him. But as he looked over his older cousin, and the gradual decline of the worry filled tenseness in his shoulders, he didn't care. This could kill him all it liked, so long as he got Luke to hear three simple words. One more time he followed Luke's breathing before breaking off... Love...ya....Luke...
-
Although his breathing is still shaky, its a lot better than it had been, only mingled slightly with a few raspy breaths. He gratefully took the ice chips and slipped them into his mouth, sucking gently on them to encourage the cool water to slip down his throat, still following his older cousin's steady breathing, as he had followed practically everything Luke had ever done in life. He admired Luke, and as he heard the words of encouragement that Luke spoke he couldn't help but feel a little happier, knowing his oldest cousin believed in him. He took Luke's hand in his and sqeeuzed as the ice took effect, and he prepared himself for the next part of what he needed to do.
-
Daisy had to laugh, knowing that where she in his position she would probably be doing the same, and so would Luke and so would Uncle Jesse. She cuddled into him more, laughing but also crying slightly at the same time, still worried. Eventually Bo managed to calm down enough to start breathing properly again, using Luke's breathing to steady his own by copying him. As Luke passed him the paper however, he shook his head and pointed to the pitcher full of small ice chips.
-
Daisy sighed "No...if you can't talk him outta it there ain't no way I can. Oh Uncle Jesse why cant he just accept that he's not well and needs to stay here?" But as Luke asked what was the matter, it just made Bo even more upset. He was scared, frustrated, angry, worried and depressed all at the same time and no matter how much he wanted to tell Luke and have him reassure him and calm him down, he couldn't because his throat hurt too bad every time he so much as spoke one letter.
-
Bo nodded, still looking down at the floor. Then out of no where, he flung his arms round Luke's neck, quietly sobbing into his shoulder. Daisy cuddled into him more, smiling at his last comment but still sombre. "But....is it really worth riskin' it just because he says he feels well enough to? We all know Bo, he may look alright but we'll never really know 'cause he dont tell us! PLease Uncle Jesse, can't ya get him to reconsider?"
-
Bo looked at Luke as he told him the ultimatum, tears shining in his eyes and swallowing back sobs every so often. He looked down at his feet, trying to hold himself together. He felt so useless when he was sitting in bed under the tent. Out here in the air, although his breathing was bad, it wasn't so bad he couldn't breathe comfortably. He just wanted to be out of bed and at least sitting in a chair or something, that way he didnt feel as sick as he knew he was. He hated when Luke was this tough on him, one because he knew he was right, he always was, and two because it wasnt exactly a whole load of fun having your cousin, who you looked up to since you was a knee high to a grasshopper think of you as no more than a stubborn jackass, And the worst part was, he couldn't even tell Luke how he was feeling. Daisy sighed gently, enjoying the comforting actions of her Uncle. "I know that Uncle Jesse but....what if something happens and we end up losing him for good this time? I couldn't live with myself knowing that we could have stopped him if that did happen. I dont like it one bit Uncle Jesse, I really don't. Sometimes he makes me wonder whether he is the adult he looks like or he's thirteen again.
-
Bo instantly shook his head. He was determined that he could do this. He hated the tent, it made him feel seperated and all he wanted was to be near his family not cut off from them, and besides, he didnt like the tent anymore than he liked the mask. He didnt care if he was being picky, if he could have his way the IV's would be out completly and he wouldn't have anything helping him breathe. Daisy sighed and huddled into Uncle Jesse softly. "I know he'll be alright...I dont doubt that he will...I just....I cant believe your lettin' him do this so early Uncle Jesse! He died! And....and your letting him get up and considering letting him discharge himself to chase the bad guys that put him in here in the first place!"

Feedback For Dukes in Double Trouble
BoJamesDuke replied to BoJamesDuke's topic in Round Robin Stories
Oh whoops. lol sorry I just realised the title on this post is wrong. lol This is for Double Duke Trouble. Very sorry for any confusion -
After a few minutes, Bo bashed his hand against the windowsill, frustrated at the fact that he just couldn't get himself breathing properly. He could feel Luke rubbing slow circles on his back in an effort to help but nothing was working. He couldn't be this ill he just couldn't be. There wasn't time for him to be so ill now, his family needed him. Daisy smiled up at her Uncle Jesse and the news that Bo had made it to the window, but she still looked away as B.L tried to make her feel better. She kenw that B.L was just trying to make her feel better, but somehow it just wasn't working.
-
Bo closed his eyes as he felt Luke's hand on his shoulder and was amazed at just how much support and comfort that one touch brought. He wouldn't let Luke down now, not when he had fought with him to get him this far in such a short space of time. He tried to focus on bringing his breathing back under control, feeling the cool country air breeze soothingly around him, and for a moment he thought that it was working, until he found that it still wasn't coming any eaisier. He tried to make it seem like he was doing fine so Luke wouldn't insist on getting him back in the bed and just continued to look out over the beautiful hospital gardens, feeling the warmth of the sun beat down gently on his face, something he now appriciated more than ever.
-
Hey, i've only just noticed people doing this. What do you guys think of this? Me and B.L have been working hard on it and never really checked to see if anyone has been reading. We'd love to hear what you think, wouldn't we B.L?
-
He instantly felt guilty as he spotted the look on Luke's face out of the corner of his eye, but his pride and his stubborness to do this on his own was the only thing that was in the forefront of his mind. He wasn't going to give this up without a fight. He looked determindly ahead, the window a few tantalising steps away from his reach. He could feel his breathing already starting to worsen now but he wasn't about to stop now whatever the doctor said. He didnt need that stupid tent, all he needed was proper fresh air, which was why he had been heading over to the window in the first place. After a few more stumbles, but without falling over, he finally reached the window after what seemed like an eternity. He leant on the window sill and weakly pushed the window up, taking a deep breath as the fresh country air filled his lungs.
-
Bo jerked his arm away angrily from Luke's grip and pushes himself back to his feet. He cant even tell them that he's fine and the only reason he fell was because he tripped over his own feet. He turned determindly back towards the window and moved to try it again.
-
He smiles gently as he hears Luke's gasp and he knows it wont be long before he does come running, expecially if he has another near miss like that. He keeps his breathing steady and carries on taking small, slow steps towards the window, but only three-four steps away, he stumbles, falling forwards.
-
Bo pointed over to the other side of the room where the window was at Luke's question, noticing them both trying to stop themselves rushing to help steady him. He knew it would only be a matter of time though before one of them cracked and helped him. His money was on Luke being the first one. After a slight pause he then tried the step with his other leg, determined not to fall over and to make it to the window eventually. He wobbled slightly as he foot left the floor and he had to catch his breath as he thought he would fall over. But he didn't and he everntually maanged to take two more steps forward.
-
Bo firmly shook his head, refusing to sit back down now he was on his feet. Once he could feel the muscles in his legs beneath him, he hesitantly let go of the bed and stood on his feet properly, gasping slightly as his unused cramped up muscles complained. But he was still determined to do as much as he could. HIs jaw set tightly and his breathing focused and steady, he lifted a trembling foot slightly off the ground and took a small baby step forward.
-
Bo grinned and lightly punched Luke playfully in the arm as he reminds him about the hospital gown. He always was uncomfortable in anything but his jeans and yellow, sometiems blue or both, top, but this was just downright humiliating. With a slow, shaky breath he lowered his feet all the way to the floor, leaning against the bed as he straightened up.
-
Bo nods and chuckles slightly at Luke's comment, noting how that particular action didn't really do much harm to his chest. He was determined he wasn't going to let this thing beat him. The doctors hadn't told him much about the infection he had, other than he needed constant antibiotics for it, but he didnt care what it was. He would beat it, and he would beat it down good enough in the next 24 hours, hew as confident of it.
-
Daisy smiled gently back at her and nodded. "Yeah...but I dont think i'm ever gonna forget this B.L. The change in him....it's too differenet and dramatic." Bo took a moment to asses how he felt before grabbing the notepad and pencil Well it dont feel like I's got Luke sittin' on ma chest, but it ain't exactly as easy as it should be ta breathe....I don't feel too bad though, its just gettin' used ta it more than anythin'...
-
Daisy nodded, not crying, just keeping herself calm. "I just...its just hard to see him like that B.L....I cant watch him like that or i'll never forget it. I just wanna rememeber how he was like before all this started." After a few minutes, Bo manages to get his breathing down to some sort of normailty, although it is still shaky, it doesn't sound too bad to him. He looked up, smiling gently at Luke and Uncle Jesse.
