Daddy Duke (continuation of Why is it)
Daisy sighed and nodded, heading into Jaime's room to have a talk with her. Bo was laying on his bed on his side, staring at the opposite wall with his back to the door, just thinking some things through.

Welcome Back Lori
Bo looked up at him, only just managing to tear his eyes away from Sara to smile up at him before registaring what he was saying and realizing Lori must be there. He looked around and soon spotted her. "Not at the moment...just give it a little way into the night and let her have a couple o'drinks to help her relax then go for it..." He suggested, knowing Lori was still nervous. Candy watched out the corner of her eye from where she was sitting happily with Luke as Lori sat down at a table not far from them. She smiled to Luke and nodded behind him. "Ain't it about time you made up with Lori?"

Daddy Duke (continuation of Why is it)
Daisy couldn't help but giggle a little, shaking her head. "It probably won't be as bad as that...she's just starting as far as I know...once it settles down she'll be less sensitive...I promise..."

Daddy Duke (continuation of Why is it)
Daisy rubbed his shoulder gently and whispered as she stood up. "I'll take her to school and talk properly with her now she's calmed down...don't worry about it ok...there's probably a very particular, female reason for this..."

Daddy Duke (continuation of Why is it)
Jaime swallowed, seeing the confidence in Luke had disappeared to almost nothing and all because of her. Sniffing hard, she nodded and stood up, hurrying to her room to get changed.

Daddy Duke (continuation of Why is it)
Jaime shivered softly and pulled away, looking up at him, asking meekly. "You want me to get changed?"

Welcome Back Lori
Bo however was in the corner of the room and not paying attention. His eyes were glued on his current girlfriend, who was amazingly still the Sara. They were talking softly to each other and Bo was making Sara giggle softly.

Daddy Duke (continuation of Why is it)
Jaime nodded softly, hugging into him that little bit tighter, still feeling really bad about what she had said and how much she had had to have hurt him.

Daddy Duke (continuation of Why is it)
Jaime huddled into him, wrapping her own arms around Luke's waist and burying her face into his blue plaid that had become so familiar to her. "I'm so sorry Daddy...I didn't think about what I was sayin'...I'm so sorry, I didn't mean it, I didn't..."

Daddy Duke (continuation of Why is it)
Daisy smiled gently to Luke and motioned for him to come over...Luke had never been fantastic with words and saying how he felt...but she knew that when he wasn't thinking about it so much he could say some of the wisest and best things..sometimes even better than Uncle Jesse's.

Daddy Duke (continuation of Why is it)
Jesse sighed as he watched Luke go...he knew when he took all three kids in that there were going to be problems eventually and he had also warned Luke that things with Jaime weren't always going to be plain sailing. And yet whenever the times did come around, no one was really prepaired for it. Daisy looked up as Luke came into the farmhouse, hugging Jaime close to her as the 14 year old sobbed into her shoulder.

Daddy Duke (continuation of Why is it)
Uncle Jesse saw the tears and knew what Luke was doing....whenever it was something wrong with Bo, Luke always found a way to make whatever it was his fault. He loved his younger cousin who was more like a baby brother to him, and Uncle Jesse knew that he couldn't stand to see that brother get hurt. He gently wrapped his arms around Luke's shoulders and pulled him close again, wiping away the tears that Luke was shedding for Bo and the parents that Bo could never shed tears for. Bo may have been the most sensitive, but to draw tears to the young man's eyes about his parents had always been near impossible. "Luke...don't go blaiming yourself for whatever you're blaiming yourself for...Bo wouldn''t want you to do that, you know it...you didn't know how Bo felt about all this...and you wanted to confide in him which isn't unusal...just don't give Bo anymore reason to feel badder than he already does...he recons he's hurt ya by walkin' away....he came straight in and went to his room..." Slowly he tilted Luke's head so that their two gazes locked. "Just take a lesson from this...you may miss your daddy...but be thankful that you have the memories of him you can treasure forever...be thankful that you got to experience and remember that hug he gave you or the kiss to your cheek or the ruffle of the hair...don't grieve over the fact you don't have them anymore...celebrate the fact you had them in the first place..." He smiled softly. "And as far as what Jaime said goes....i'll have you know she regretted it instantly...she's inside crying her eyes out in Daisy's arms because she thinks your gonna send her away again for being ungrateful...she didn't mean it...your more of a daddy to her than her's ever was...and I quote her when I say that..."

Welcome Back Lori
To Bo though, nothing much was funny to him at that moment. Once he was sure Lori was asleep, he quickly left the room for peace and quiet for a nice long sleep so long as Luke didn't come bounding in chattering about Candy...

Welcome Back Lori
Bo grinned a little "Well lucky for me I can..." He bent down to give her a hug gently, rocking her a little before letting go and ruffling her hair. "Right now you need to get yer rest though..."
-
Welcome Back Lori
Bo smirked "Well...there's only one sure fire way to boost them...heck it worked for Daisy...swallow your pride, show everyone you ain't a spoiled little rich girl and work at the Boar's Nest with Daisy..."
-
Welcome Back Lori
Bo shook his head and made Lori look to him again. "Lori you ain't got bad luck with men, you just act wrong around them...look at yerself now...your acting all pathetic and moping around...you wouldn't catch Daisy actin' like this in a million years...and neither would you find her storming around screaming and crying at people either...your an attratctive girl Lori...there ain't nothin unattractive about ya except the lack of self esteem and self confidence..."

Welcome Back Lori
Bo let out a deep breath, dipping his head to look at the floor before turning in his seat and taking Lori's hand gently. "Lori...love ain't somethin' that just comes naturally and just springs up between two people...its somethin' you gotta work on and if both of the people in the relationship arn't willing to work on it, then yeah its gonna come crashin' down an' yer gonna get hurt...but that's what bein' in love is about Lori...its how life is...you can't have anything that doesn't come with pain of some sort...if you stay clinging to your fear the rest of your life...your gonna end up miserable and alone..."

Welcome Back Lori
Bo groaned and rubbed his hands down his face. "Oh for pete's sake...Lori don't you be like this too....please..."

Daddy Duke (continuation of Why is it)
Jesse placed a hand gently on his shoulder and looked Luke in the eyes. "Because it showed me that no matter how much influence I had over ya...you would never forget I'm just your Uncle...that you would always remember you had a father who loved ya, who wanted nothin' more than to raise ya an' see ya grow....I can't ever get that from Bo...he doesn't remember a thing about his parents...your Aunt and I are all of a parental figure he does remember....and it saddens me that Bo cannot even grieve over them because of it..."

Daddy Duke (continuation of Why is it)
Jesse sighed "Luke you was only 12 years old at the time...you'd had a bad day an' I said some things that sparked off yer temper...you came apologisin right afterwards...and that night you was tucked up in your bed with me readin' ya a story like always...I know you never meant to hurt me...and truth is, i'm glad ya said it..."
-
Daddy Duke (continuation of Why is it)
Jesse shook his head, rubbing Luke's back some more with a soft smile. "Now don't you worry about it Luke....while it hurt to hear ya say it...the fact of the matter is its true...I am just a guy who adopted ya inta mine and yer aun't family...but the point is no matter what, i'll still protect ya like you were my own and I love ya like you were my own...and I also know that you never meant a word of it back then....you just had a mighty mean temper that could have riveled the one Bo has nowadays...you said things without thinkin' about em...especially when I pushed ya an' challeneged ya..."

Daddy Duke (continuation of Why is it)
Jesse smiled softly and looked to him, tilting his chin up softly. "You did when you was younger...."

Daddy Duke (continuation of Why is it)
Jesse sighed and sat down on a hay bale with him, holding him close and rubbing his arm softly. "Luke...if you's sayin' that then you might as well say the same about me too..."
-
Daddy Duke (continuation of Why is it)
Jesse nodded softly, hearing the emotion and practically feeling the tears that were filling Luke's blue eyes. "I know Luke...and its probably because when ya have a child to look after...you look to your father to give you guidence on how to be a good one...there's a bond there that ain't broken by anythin an' its almost a tradition of the human nature to want to do it...I don't blame ya for wantin' that Luke and I wish that I could give it to ya..."

Welcome Back Lori
Bo sighed and looked to her "Lori no matter what mistakes we's made in life everyone deserves to be happy..."
