Bo grinned and headed down the corridor quickly to Luke's room.

Joe chuckled a little. "With Splinter as tall as he is, I don't think so somehow..."

Joe walked out the stall with Hank as Splinter got up, narrowling avoiding the Stallion's very annoyed nip to his back, shutting the door and going to put the stuff away. "It don't matter, you go have fun. I'll check it out."

Joe shook his head, untying Splinter's legs and standing up, taking the equipment with him. "Nah its ok...you got a lady friend with ya, don't wanna ruin your day."

Joe shook his head, finishing with the wrapping and stroking Splinter gently. "I know it....its alright Splinter shhh..."

The doctor nodded again with a smile, saying before walking off "Its no problem..."

Joe frowned, thinking as he started to wrap the wound tightly. "I think...near the caves..."

The doctor nodded "Of course you can...he is still asleep though and may remain so for another half an hour to an hour yet..."

Bo too looked up and got to his feet, not really worried but wanting to get to Luke all the same. The doctor smiled softly and nodded. "He's just fine...the operation was a complete success. He's gonna have a nice scar on his foot and right now its very swollen and red so we can't cast it...but eventually the swelling will go down and we'll get him plastered up..."

Joe nodded, shaking his head. "I just don't understand it...I don't know how the heck he could have gotten this in the middle of a field..."

Joe eventually removed the rag, wiping the wound clean and seeing how bad it was, frowning a little. "I think this might need stitches..."

Near an hour later, the Doc wheeled Luke back up to his room. His foot was red and swollen but they couldn't put the cast on the foot until the swelling had receeded some. Putting him into his room, clipping the bed to the wall, she lifted his foot carefully into traction, making sure it was secure before leaving him to sleep off the rest of the anestethia and to tell his family they could see him.

Joe sighed and poured a little moonshine onto a clean rag, swallowing gently as he looped a rope around Splinter's back legs and tied it to the stall bars so he wouldn't get kicked. "I'm sorry about this boy..." Wincing himself, he pressed the rag against the wound, hearing Splinter whiny loudly and struggle against the holds in pain.

Bo chuckled, not needing to be told twice and tucked into his food, glancing around.

Bo looked to him, about to protest that he could have paid for his own but sees the look in his Uncle's eyes and knows better than to argue. He went to find a table, sitting at one as he carefully balanced his tray in his good hand.

Joe shook his head, kneeling down by the horses back feet softly and inspecting the gash closely. "I have no idea...one minute we were tearin' across the land an' the next he's rearin' up in pain..."

Joe hurried back to the barn, grabbing some of the horse equipment they had for treating such things and going into Splinter's stall, seeing he was laying down where he had left him. "Good boy...we'll get you fixed up right quick..."

Bo grabbed as tray too and went to get some food and a drink of water, choosing sandwiches as he knew he wouldn't be able to eat a meal one handed.

Bo nodded and headed off down to the cafeteria with Jesse.

Joe looked back, nodding a little. "I might...this stuff stings like crazy.."

Bo shook his head again but stood up. "No but I could do with somethin' to eat...you wanna come?"

Joe shook his head, finally getting one of the jars of shine and heading back out again. "Splinter's got a huge gash on his leg..."

Bo shook his head "Nah I'll be alright...I can't sleep in these chairs anyhow."

Joe put Splinter in his stall and encouraged him to lay down, petting his neck gently before jogging inside, not noticing Lorraine sitting at the table as he hunted down some shine.

Bo nodded again, resting his good hand behind his head and yawning lightly.
