1. Rosco P. Coltrane- Funniest TV character of all time. 2. Uncle Jesse- Best TV family patriarch of all time. 3. Daisy Duke- Best looking TV girl of all time. 4. Cooter Davenport- Best friend a TV family ever had. 5. Bo and Luke Duke- Best TV heroes of all time 6. Boss Hogg- Straight man to Rosco's funnyman in the funniest TV scenes of all time. 7. Sheriff Little- Always look forward to his episodes because he was usually the only lawman who could give the Dukes a run for their money.

Here's one more: Rosco- 'Now why didn't I think of that?' Boss- 'Cuz, if you had half a brain, maybe you'd be the Boss and I'd be the Jackass Sheriff.'

The Andy Griffith Show and Dukes of Hazzard had a lot of connections. Both James Best (Rosco) and Denver Pyle (Uncle Jessie) appeared in multiple ipisodes of the AG show. It is obvious that Don Knotts as Barney Fife was influential to James Best. RIP to Don Knotts- forever Barney Fife. PS Dukes and Andy Griffith are my 2 favorite shows of all time.

Thank you inga! I'm hoping to catch the 'Coalbrain' episode with Sheriff Little on CMT sometime soon. Here is my very favorite quote from DOH, Uncle Jesse tells the other Dukes, 'A stranger is just a friend the Dukes haven't met yet.' I haven't met everybody on this board, but you are all my friends just the same.

In season 1, the lady from the show Home Improvement says to Rosco (paraphrase) 'I think we can trust them. Those Dukes are just a bunch of good ole country folk.' Rosco says, 'I'm as country as grits-n-gravy and I can't be trusted... er if I was a Duke.' Can somebody help me with this one? Boss says, 'Rosco I won ____ medals in ____ wars and nothing makes me more nervous then when you say ______. ' That one cracked me up but I can't remember it exactly. Please help w/ this one too. Sherriff Little tears into Rosco bigtime calling him Coalbrain (wish I could remember the whole tirade- classic) to which Rosco responds, 'The name's Coltrane- there's no brain in it.' Please help if you remember those quotes in their entirety. Thanks and what a great site. DOH is the greatest show of all-time and it's not even close.
