  1. Brother in laws car was ransacked up in Michigan in the yard that it was towed to after the accident. His insurance had it towed to their lot here in Ohio and he went to get some personal items Monday and everything in the interior is gone except registration and the manual. Luckily they didn't grab mother in laws scooter out of the trunk. They even took the gas door :cornfused: probably even stole the gas out of the car. I think insurance will get his car fixed as the damage is just the doors and b pillar.

  2. What a week. Temp's in my wife's building were a bunch of no shows no calls so guess who got volunteered to go back there the whole week, to top it off my boss told clients we could get orders out ASAP, that didn't go so well since I was working in the other building. My coworkers managed to get one order done and shipped.

Wednesday my brother in law decided to take his mom on a day trip up to Ann Arbor and ended up getting T-boned by a red light running college kid. But of course he left the dashcam at home and no witnesses stuck around to tell the police so his word against theirs. Anyways had to drive all the way up there to pick them up at the hospital and take them home back here in Ohio. Didn't get home that night till 10:30 and went to bed without dinner.

    Have a good Easter everyone.

Hey Spike, You aren't in the path of totality for the April 8 eclipse are you? (Bo Duke's 64th bithhday).

I think I'm on the line of totality. Don't really matter anyways as I'll be working that day. Would be nice if it's my building as my boss said he'd give us a few minutes to experience it, but if I'm stuck in the wife's building I wouldn't have the time to see it.

  4. I watched the bristol race and I guess I'm in the minority thinking it was a lousy race. Tires barely lasted 40-45 laps and it seems only JGR teams could manage it leaving everyone else a few seconds behind trying to conserve tires. Goodyear and NASCAR even gave all the teams an extra set of tires. You know maybe it's time NASCAR allowed a full day of practice again to suss out stuff like this so they know ahead of time what might become an issue.

  5. Not sure what changed or if he got permission but the maintenance guy at least put his big American flag back up, seen it when I came home and gave it a salute and a Oh Hell Yeah :). I haven't seen the 2 kitty's that come to my patio for food the past few days though.

Wife is healing good. Driving around now. Still has another month to go before getting Dr permission to return to work. However I'm bringing work home that's easy enough for her to do so she has something to do during the days.

Can't wait for spring to feel like spring though, it is cold out today. Will probably lose some of my perennials that popped up early to the hard frost the next few nights.

  6. I took the trash out yesterday and seen the maintenance guy took everything down, his bird feeders, yard decorations, shepherd hooks, heck even his patio table umbrella. His was the nicest looking flower bed space with all the little light house and other lake inspired decorations along with his feeders.

Our next door neighbor told us today she found a place and is moving next weekend . I don't blame her as this is BS. I'm sure she won't be the only one breaking their lease and moving out.

  7. So I ended up keeping one of the feeders and 2 of the shepherd hooks at home. We'll see what happens next week if they want to push the issue. I think instead of punishing everyone they should just let that one whiney baby  out of her lease so she can go cry somewhere else. If I ever run into her on the property I'm going to give her a peice of my mind.

Another thing in the note is "only minimal decorations allowed. No multi colored lights allowed only single colored solar lights," so basically no more putting Christmas lights up . Come Christmas time this is going to be a depressing looking complex, there's at least one person in every building that puts up lights and other Christmas decorations outside.

  8. It took 2 days but I got the flower bed and patio cleaned up and took down my bird feeders. Moron lawn crew blew a lot of leaves and debris into the patio, filled 2 garbage bags. I also ran into the veteran, actually a lady, I thought it was a guy that lived in that apartment. Chatted with her a few minutes about the new rules. She said she's going to keep feeding the cats, birds and keep the flag up in the window :cheers:and if they push back she's going to bring up the maintenance issues she's been trying to get fixed the past few months.

  9. Certainly feels like it Roger. It's so ridiculous. And the motto on the sign at the end of the driveway is "Make it your Home" :lol::lol:. I almost bought a bottle of Roundup last night to spray on our flower beds but the voice in me said no because gardening is one of my stress relievers. But if we get another note after I clean up the patio this weekend scorched earth is what they will get. Wonder how well it will go for the manager if they force the veteran to take his flag out of his window. Would love to be a fly on the wall if he chews out the manager lol.

Also found out the reason for the notes. Some resident put nasty reviews about the complex on a bunch of sites last week complaining about almost everything the notes say need to change. It just takes one person to ruin it for everyone these days.

  10. So yesterday got this ridiculous note on our door, everyone else in the complex did too, I figured we'd get something this week because the complex next door had a fire over the weekend. But imo this goes to far. There's a few people that feed the stray cats and some that put bird feeders up. So in the note it said unless those people stop they will be charged a pet fee. It doesn't end there either. Grille's are now basically banned, they didn't go so far as to say that but you have to have the grill 10 feet from any structure now instead of on your patio. In the building I live in that basically means grilling in the middle of the parking lot. Here's the best one... All curtains have to be white, any other color and you will get a lease violation fine. That's funny because I went through the last lease we signed in February and there's not a :censored: thing about only having white curtains. This note was the last straw for our next door neighbor, she told us last night that she's breaking her lease and moving out as soon as she finds another place to live as I'm sure several others are also contemplating it. I'm hoping my wife heals up fast and gets back to work so we can get the heck out of here too as this is the last straw for me too.

That's pretty much why they introduced the DRS (Drag Reduction System) in F1. The aerodynamics of the modern cars leaves a hole in the air making it difficult to follow closely. Now, at certain places on each circuit (between 1 and 3 locations depending on the track), if a driver can get within a second of the car in front of them at the detection spot they can open a flap on the rear wing, which gives them a few km/h extra. However, on some tracks a DRS train forms behind a slightly slower car, and as everyone is within a second of the car in front of them, they all get DRS!

That's why I like Indycars version of DRS. It's a slight boost in power from the engine and they can use it anywhere on the track. They only get so many seconds of boost so they have to use it sparingly throughout the race.

  12. Yeah Larson held off Reddick thanks to NASCAR's inability to fix the 1.5 mile package. Once the 2nd car catches the lead car and is stuck in its wake there's no passing the lead car. Imo they should just make all tracks minus Daytona, Talladega and Atlanta 750+ horsepower and get rid of some of the down force.

Garret you didn't miss much. It wasn't that exciting except on the restarts.

  13. NASCAR officials probably noticed it during one of the many wrecks.

As for Joey Logano's gloves I don't see the point of penalizing him as he most likely wasn't the only one wearing them during Daytona 500 qualifying. And the video they released on Twitter is so low quality that you can't tell the difference from a regular glove.
