Jake nodded "Thanks." and he went down the hall. He gently knocked on the door and heard a quiet 'come in'. He walked in and stood beside the bed.

"You all right?" he asked.

"I don't know reallly." Lily moaned.

Jake nodded "Well I brought you something.

"What?" she asked as he handed her a little box.

"You'll see."

Lily nodded and opend it. She smiled "Jake what is this?"

Jake said "A-An engagment ring..It won't be long before your the right age..and me too. So I thought I'd get you one."

Lily gasped "Oh Jake!" then she closed her eyes sighing "I love you for doing this, but am I really worth it? I can't do nothing right and nobody but Mr. and Mrs. Strate really loves me. . .I think you do too, but I just. . ." she sighed.
