Daisy: *then looks slightly down* tho i can't accept your money. Everyone in Hazzard is poor. We're used to it.

Jed: *cups his hand under her chin to make her look up at him* Daisy honey your . . .i'm thinking going to be my neice. It's my duty. And to say. I know I'm saving it for when Elly has a little one her own, but I have a crib that's been in my family for generations. I know they're twins but anyway

Jed: You mean our friends? I reckon, tho you know money doesn't really make a preson happy.

Miss Hathaway: Mr. Clampett now that we're on the subject I need to tell you something

Jed: What?

Miss Hathaway: Well all the time you've been here . . .Mr. Drysdale considered you so valuable because of your money. He really isn't after friendship or whatnot . . .well maybe a bit . . .but he was only after your money. I don't know that you realize this Mr. Clampett but you're the only man I know who can live anywhere as long as you have here and not been corrupted. Please Mr. Clampett flee to Ga you'll be much happier . . .and i know Granny will.
