Brian Coltrane
"Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning" hit the top 20 in DVD sales during it's first week of release, scoring 16th. Other first-week releases include "Casino Royale" which rolled in to #1.Before anybody gets too excited about how well "The Beginning" is doing, consider this: It's also the first week of release for "Barbie: Fairytopia - The Magic of the Rainbow." It's at #6. ( Alex, you've got your copy of this already, right?)Brian

Yay!My brother says that April Scott looks alot like Catherine Bach, I have a wild idea what Catherine Bach was to be in the next one playing Daisy's mother. ndog62000
I think a streght to dvd movie is on a difernt scale than the big screen stuff.heres what is known:The beginning cost 5 million to make supposedlyaccording to JRS it was sold to ABC Family for Cable Run at 10 MILLION DOLLARSAccording to arcticle about the Bigining that had statistics for last years streght to DVD sales and the numbers ranged from 750,000 to 1.2 millionBecause it didn't cost that much to make WB could potetially double tripple or quadruple the initial investment ... Jayn
I don't really concider these (The big screen movie and the Beginning) to be Dukes of Hazzad movies but rather "General Lee" movies.. C-mon, the reason we continue to watch these because to see the General fly.. I'll tell you, if they started to use those new "chergers" I'll stop watching! Capt_Redneck
Oh I dunno I still have hope that someday..somewhere..somehow Enos and Daisy will hook up. If they do, it would most likely be the "new" Enos & Daisy. The originals would have had grandkids by now....
