  1. Brandy... <smile> You have the same name as my horse. No offense; I love and right now very much miss my horse (I'm at college). Anyway... <clearing throat> I have an mp3 of that song. Great song! Actually have most of the CD on mp3. My e-mail's dixie_dream1n@yahoo.com if you want to discuss gettin' it to you. See ya! Dix
  2. I have to admit that I don't hate Coy and Vance. Can't hardly, since I first met Hazzard with them. True they aren't "the boys", but they're not all that bad - Coy especially seemed like he had potential as a character. Someone else also pointed out good plotlines and how much fun the local law were in season 5. Pretty much whatever else I was going to say, DukesFan said. <shrug> So go read her post. That aside though... as honestly put off by those two "scruffy troublemakers" as I at first was when I saw Luke and Bo <chuckling at myself>, I've grown to know them both *very* well, and love them as the people they are. Yes, I prefer them... Still, I'll buy season 5. And as for seasons 6 and 7... don't knock 'em. Honestly I think those two seasons had some of the best episodes in the series. Not every one was a gem, true, but there were also some very interesting stories that looked deeper into the characters of the Dukes and their friends, in various ways. Some of the most serious drama in the series could be found here, in my opinion. I love all the seasons mostly... but 6 and 7 do have a special place for me, perhaps partly because as a writer I honestly eat up personal details and interactions such as were shown there. <slight smile>

  4. I do have stories, they're just not posted on the forums, and not under this name. If you want to know, go look at http://www.dukesofhazzardfanfic.com - under the name Sarah S. No offense, but not all fanfic revolves around this board.
  5. Yes it is that episode... and that is a good one. One of a list of favorites of mine, lol... Another couple favs of mine from season 2 are Find Loretta Lynn and Follow That Still.
  6. They're both very good drivers. Bo's always wanted to drive racecars, had NASCAR dreams, and Luke used to run shine a lot for Jesse. So they're both good. They do have slightly different styles and strengths though. Bo is great at the high-flying maneuvers and offroad, as well as just plain speed. Honestly though, from what I've seen Luke can pull some faster, more agility-driven moves on the road than even Bo can - dodging in and out around other cars and obstacles, pulling fast spins, etc. So... nearly impossible for me to say either one's better than the other.
  7. I added up the cost... lol... buying all seven seasons at $30 apiece is still cheaper than the whole set. Plus cover art and extras. So... probably still best to wait. Besides... lol... it gives us something to keep looking forward to!
  8. Pretty much the same car that Hazzard used for police work, then (the most well-known anyway).
  9. Wouldn't it be great were it real?? I can't afford that much at once though...
  10. Brian, MaryAnne, and Mufn deserve all the respect we can all give them. Not sour or spiteful comments.
  11. Actually, I would guess they have quite a bit of land - perhaps not all cultivated, but there. In "Follow that Still" for example, that RPC crashed through quite a little section of Duke-owned woodland before coming out on the road. And in "The Legacy" there was even an old mine that ran underneath property owned by them...
  12. I know it's late, but Happy Birthday, MaryAnne! <grin>
  13. It *is* a full-time job, running/working a farm... they wouldn't have time to be otherwise employed really even if they wanted. And yes it is hard work too. But the entire family were proud of it. The farm is not only their home but also their heritage, a Duke family livelihood passed down for generations. As for *what* they farmed, I don't think it's ever said exactly. But I would guess that they probably grew some sort of grain, seeing as that would not only be sellable in itself but used for the family shine business, and also hay, cause you don't really see hay laying around loose like we have unless it's been grown there - places that got it shipped in would keep it baled for better storage until needed. Possibly something else, can't know. It always really puzzles me when people asked what did they do for a living... cause it should be obvious... lol.
  14. I don't know what he was being chased for, but that's a heck of a wheelman! Good watchin'!
  15. Yes I did, on two different eps. I took it back to Walmart with receipt and got the set replaced. Haven't had a problem since.
