  1. remember, they are in the process of re-shoots, but i believe many videos and photos we have seen were from pre-production and test shoots. the photos of her outside the door with hazzard county sherriff's dept. on it, could have been just a photo prop and not an actual door from the set. until you see the trailer, take everything you see and hear about the color of her hair with a grain of salt.
  2. it should be noted that only in the preview images for the film was Jessica simpson blonde, in according to my sources and a confirmation duriing the current season of her mtv show newlyweds, she's a brunette
  3. a fresh take on the concept is exactly what this is...look at walking tall, it was a fresh take on the old '70's movie about sherriff buford pusser. but instead of being about going after moonshiners, they brought the concept to a new generation, revamped, changed buford pusser to chris vaughn and instead of moonshiners, the story was about corruption of a small town through drugs and gambling.
  4. no..no..no..for the love of god no.
  5. R.J. that's what i have been saying. the concerned parents that call me a jerk, you contradict yourselves saying your trying to raise your kids in a wholesome environment yet let them watch catherine bach walking around in shorts small enough to almost be a g-string. for you to sit there and call me a jerk, says ten times more about yourselves.
  6. let me tell you something pal, i can say whatever the hell i want to say,, even if you don;'t like what i say, even if I don't remember it later, then you really don't want to take your kids to see this movie because it will not be like your precious tv show. teach the kid what is real in this world, don't hide them from the truth.
  7. Hey that was uncalled for. Remember this is a family board. I am asking ONCE AGAIN not to use profanity and that type of language on here. Now I am asking that YOU keep your opinions to yourself and not share them on here, since you seem not to do it in a respectful way... Darrell freedom of speech you forum nazi
  8. i know how you "wish" that classic cars could be in the movie, just as much as i wish I could be jessica and ashlee simpson's eternal sex slave. but those are just wishes. the movie is set in the 2005, this movie is not about the 70's/80's and it sure as hell ain't about the tv show. truth is, the show sucked, only 2 thngs made the show watchable, the car and catherine bach's pert posterior.
  9. actually batman aired twice in the first half. 90% of the commercials that repeated where either ford or careerbuilder.com
  10. guess with 1:48 on the clock i doubt we'll be seeing the dukes spot here. maybe next week during the daytona 500
  11. i apologize, but i am making my point loud and clear, tto many times i have pulled up this board and listen to people complain and complain aboput this movie and what they don't like about it. i've been in the entertainment industry for a couple of years, and through freelance news and radio i have met plenty of famous people, i have hobnobbed with the likes of ben affleck, robin williams, and so on. i have been to the annual Gathering of Dukes fans, i too have met many of the actors from the show, wopat and bach are nowadays trying to move on from their past, schnieder and jones are friendly to fans yes, i take that back and admit, but wopat and bach are like shatner at a star trek convention, they are there for th publiclity money. they get royalties from every diecast General Lee that is sold. the show became famous because of the characters and car, not the actors that portayed them.
  12. thanks, i originally heard it was going to be a full commercial breka for batman and 30 sec. of the dukes, so i might have been wrong.
  13. give it the F**** up already, this is not the TV show version come to the big screen, this is the adaptation of what the creator originally invisioned. quit your b****ing about how bad jessica is to her fans, bach and they others are only nice to their fans because that is the only way they get attention these days. gretchen wilson is great as a signer, let her sing, she is with the Muzik mafia not the music and movie mafia. how the hell do you know that the creator originally invisioned daily to be blonde, but catherine bach may have refused to dye her hair.
  14. sounds more like they are doing re-shoots, probably something wasn't exactly like what they wanted so they re-do a certain scene.
  15. you are so true, but remember, things are different today than they were in the 50's-80's. what was once taboo is now the norm. atleast we will still be able to see that confederate flag and dixie horn on the General
  16. everyone will agree that we can wish for the movie to be made, but this is 2005, unless someone has the backbone to dig up Denver Pyle and the actor that played boss hogg, i highly doubt there will ever be an original cast ever again. i love ben jones, wonderful actor, but stuck in the 70's/80's. you really don't hear david hassellhoff b****ing about wanting the original cast fr the proposed knight rider big screen movie?
  17. there are no flaws, if they put a fat guy in as boss hogg, people will complain and sue because they find it offensive to fat people. burt reynolds fits the character better than his tv counterpart. everybody just shut the hell up about wishing things were like the tv, it's not, they director is not going for a direct rip of the tv show, no one wants to see old, wrinkled actors from the tv show. get over it, if you pine over the old days, then why aren't you shooting this movie they way you want ti with your cast?
  18. actually it would be too far fetched, many big screen actors are jumping to the small screen, and fox and other networks will be moving away from reality tv by summer. so...
  19. tmoonrunners that the name of it, my mind is going on me. anyways, that movie should be remade. even though this movie is not a reunion movie featuring the original cast, it still will feel like an reunion movie because the dukes are racing against boss hogg and his henchmen from selling the farm to a woman who wants to build a highway or something.
  20. i have heard wild rumors that if this movie does better than it's expected to, look for a possible tv show featuring the cast or a newer cast.
  21. exactly!!! and how many people remember that the tv show was actually based off a movie?
  22. my idea is that this movie should be more of a mesh of the first 2 episodes of the show, and the movie that this show was inspired by, i tink it was called the moonshiners or moon shine runners, something like that.
  23. this movie is shooting for a more tim burtonesque darkness, also te director of this film wll make everything about batman all the way down to the batcave and batmobile more realistic and pliable to today as if what if batman was real?
  24. i was there when they filmed the movie Big Fish, everyone was saying the casting decisions they made didn't reflect the book, but when the movie premiered, it turned out better than anyone thought. i'm sure a bunch of people around here would like the movie cast they way they want ti, and probably work the orignl cast in somewhere, but that is downright cheesy. the movie is "inspired" y the show, or should i say, more inspired by the creator of the show and his vision. i think knoxville and scott fit the roles perfect. , same for jessica simpson. just shut up and be thankful you are getting what is turning out to be a damn good version of the dukes on the big screen. this movie has been in development hell for nearly 10 years, originally they were going to shootthis movie with Ben Stiller, owen Wilson as the duke boys and the guy that playd drew carey's brother, steve as boss hogg so take your pick which one you'd rather have, been still in a comedy version of the dukes using the legacy of the general lee as his toilet paper or Johnny Knoxville and sean william scott who are true diehard fans of the show?
