Chapter One Roaring down the dirt road Jon and Ponch are racing when the Orange car comes by the truck's passenger side, then they hear a siren and try to pull over to the right, and somehow the police car flies into the pond. “Breaker breaker thank you for what you did back there,” said a voice over the radio, Ponch, and Jon looked at each other and laughed. When they came into town, the Orange car with the name General Lee, and a Confederate flag was on the roof, and the doors were marked with the number 01, “A stock car ‘69 Dodge Charger,” said Poncherello. ”Yeah where we are from, that's illegal to drive” Jon adds. “Hey cousin, I need some sleep now, plus the meds are wearing off” added Ponch as he held up his right hand, which had a brace on it Jon replied, “I know cousin, I need some sleep too, let's find a room for the night,” as they searched for a hotel to spend the night in, Cooter returned with Cletus’s police car that went through the Hazzard County car wash. Cletus Saw them and said “All right let’s go” Ponch smiled at Cletus, and Jon asked, “What for?” Cletus said, “Questions later now git!” All three of them walked towards the county jail. “You ok cousin?” asked Jon, noticing his partner “Yeah it's my ribs,” said Ponch. ”Can he put his right arm down? He broke his ribs a few months ago” Jon said to Deputy Cletus. “Uh, Jon you mean most of my bones.” Ponch retorted as they walked into the station's booking area where Bo and Luke were paying their “Speeding” ticket that Rosco gleefully gave them. Suddenly Ponch roars out of pain, and everybody freezes Cletus takes 2 steps towards Ponch, and then Jon pushes Cletus away from Ponch, Rosco takes a step towards Jon then Bo grabs some firecrackers and hands them over to Luke who lit two of them and throws them on the floor near the empty holding cell. Bo helps getting Ponch to his feet and runs to the door. Ponch grabs the baton and places it in the handles of the first double doors and all 4 come running out the door and split up Jon and Bo in Jon's truck, and Luke and Ponch in General Lee. Bo said “Hi, Cooter” “Hey Cooter, the usual okay,” said Luke “Okay Luke, in three minutes, and then the fun begins,” Cooter said with a smile knowing what he was going to find there.
