Elly May Duke

Jesse looks down at her lovingly and starts singing Sissy's song and then lays something in Daisy's hand.

Enos: *sighs and takes Lily into his arms and carries her into the house*

Jesse: I know baby, but I want you to rest today. . .tomorrow's your Aunt's funneral and I know you'll need your strength

Enos knows that he can't call Daisy, but looks at Lily and takes the rag he had in his back pocket and wraps it around the cut until he could get doc Enos: How did this happen Lily?

Jesse: *nods* Why don't you stay in bed today? I'll get breakfast ready and I'll bring you some warm grits. How bout that?

(I bet course I never drank so what would I know) Jesse: How are you baby?

Enos stooped looking at his daughter Enos: Lily, what's wrong? Enos couldn't understand what happend to his daughter.

Jesse yawns as he had been up all night thinking and praying. He smiled and then sighed looking down at Daisy who had when she finally cried herself to sleep had been in his arms the whole night.

Enos jumped up and rushed to see what the matter was. He had a feeling that Lily was in danger.

Jesse: *Sits and holds her*

Jesse: *gently* I'm disapointed that you did that baby, but I know how much your Aunt Martha meant to you and I understand how you feel.

Jesse comes over and gently unties her and hugs her close.

Daisy sighed and laid her head against his shoulder. They stayed like this for a couple of minutes when suddenly there was a loud screaming that wasn't the babies.

Soon the boys are in bed even if they are only laying awake. Jesse decides to check on Daisy.

Daisy: Only for the Grace of God can I now. . .I don't know Enos.

Daisy: I wish Enos. . .I really do. I feel like I just lost my father all over again and the baby is supposed to come in about a month. . .I just can't do it Enos.

Bo and Luke obeyed, but neither one ate much even if Uncle Jesse had made thier favorite.

Daisy goes to her room and lays on the bed finally letting out all her pain.

Bo says nothing, but realizes that his cousin is pained and starts thinking a prayer in his head. . .as the youngest he really didn't know what to do.

Enos understands and says nothing, but wonders himself just how badly she is affected as well as Lily.

Luke: I know. . .you'd think that a fifteen year old boy would do a better job.

Luke: I'm the oldest Uncle Jesse. . .It's my duty to look out for Daisy and Bo. *crys*

Enos: *wraps his arms around her and says a couple things himself and a prayer for strength for him and Daisy*

Luke: *sighs putting his head in his hands* I blame myself Uncle Jesse. As bad as it is. . .I know that if you had died. . .we probably would have had a doulbe funneral. . .you are everything to her. . .the daddy that she never had. . .eventhough her own was loving.

Jed had just said a prayer and now looked to Daisy Jed: Daisy, honey. . .is there anything you'd like to say to or about your Uncle?
