Daisy: What makes you think that? I know they have to be thinking that they raised a stronger girl than this.

(about what I wonder) When they get home Daisy pulls Lily aside Daisy: Lily, I need to talk to you. Lily: about what mama?

Daisy picks Lily and the babies up and takes them home.

Daisy: *sighs* I know Miss Lulu. . .just that I'm so confused. . .I think I'm going to get Uncle Jesse to take me to the graveyard so I can talk to my parents about all this. . .wonder waht they're thinking looking down on me.

Soon Daisy has dropped Lily off at Granny's so that she can get a few things done.

Daisy: I didn't think so. . .I am so botherd by this Miss Lulu. . .I mean Uncle Jesse said that he and the boys would help me with it, but I don't know. . .maybe I shouldn't keep it. . .maybe I should . . .I don't know what to do.

(I know. . .I don't care about girly either. . .the only girly thing I wear is my skorts to church. . .that's all) Daisy: *Well . . .I think I have some of your daddy's old ones in the attic*

Daisy: *nods* I know. . .Think any of this matters to him. . .what hiw nephew did to me? (Well like I said we have some time to think about it.)

Daisy: Yup (Never really got clothes there, but who knows. . .might sometime. . .looking to get a new shirt or two soon. . .I usually go with a cd, book or one of those series things)

(I was going to say girl too. . .I don't know. . .well she has a while to think about it, but. . .I don't know about her keeping it. . .what do you think?) Daisy: *nods* What do you think Boss thinks?

Daisy: You know I think I heard a while ago that there's supposed to be some series about country stars too) (That would be cool.) (What do you usually get there?)

Daisy: You really think so? Do you agree with me not wanting Hughie to have anything to do with it? (What's your vote boy or girl?)

(Me too. . .Wally world is my place. . .and yeah. . .most I ever spend is 20 and I only do that like once a month or two months. . .don't shop much either) Lily: Oh.

Daisy: *sighs* I just don't understand it Miss Lulu. Oh and what do you think about the baby taking the last name Duke? I really don't want Hughie having anything to do with it.

Lily: Mama. . .what did you read when you were little? (I mean really . . .if you are used to spending what we do. . .how are you going to look at those prices and be like okay that's a lotta money let's get it. . .really)

Daisy: Miss Lulu. . .tell me the truth. . .what do you think about what happend between me and Hughie. . .I don't understand how he could do that to me. . .I'm not that weak.

Lily: *nods* He got any other ones for me? (I get sick of them telling ppl off for not wanting to spend the 5,000)

Daisy rushes off to the bathrroom and then comes back Daisy: I'm sorry Miss Lulu. . .I feel so bad lately.

( I mean for goodness sake. . .who cares about the quality and all . . .money don't grow on a tree) Daisy and Enos talk for a while and then Daisy takes Lily home who is reading the comics all the while.

Daisy: *noded* Thanks miss Lulu. You're like a mama to me also. . .what are you going to do about Hughie?

Enos: What? (I know. . .course my mom don't let me wear camo other than that yeah. . .look for the chapest thing. . .one reason I wear my dad's business shirts less than a dollar to make each of 'em . . .nother thing that gets me about Stacy and Clinton. . .if you know where this is going)

Lulu: I know honey . . .I know. . .I'll be praying for you. Daisy: Lulu. . .what did you think of just then when Boss and Hughie walked in?

(I know. . .we just aren't like city girls when we do. . .what are we like shopping anyway?) Lily goes back to reading.
