  1. "Remember how I told you about that offer through the University of Georgia to help with the Ms. Tiny Georgia pageant this year?" Lizzy asks. "The reply came."
  2. Lizzy goes out and checks the mail. Flipping through it she comes across the letter. "It's here Daisy, it came." Lizzy says dropping the rest of the mail on the table.
  3. "Alright I'm just gonna run out and check the mail I'll be back soon." Lizzy says.
  4. The next morning Lizzy woke up to the wonderful smell of waffles but then the smell was replaced by the not so wonderful taste of morning sickness. Lizzy rushed to the master bathroom and did her business. When she had finished she walked into the kitchen and saw Cooter and Daisy eating. Cooter looked up to see the look on Lizzy's face and instantly was at her side. "Are you alright?" "No not really." Lizzy said sitting down and glaring at the waffles. "Ah I see." Cooter says walking to the cabinet and pulling out crackers and then some water. He handed both to Lizzy and then took his seat again. "Daisy...now that you've had some sleep are you feeling the same way as last night?" Lizzy asks.
  5. "Alright. Then I'm going to bed. I'll talk to you in the morning." Lizzy says climbing into bed.
  6. "I told you I can't be mad at you but... Well I can't be for long. I just I want you to know if it doesn't feel right don't worry about it, let it come to you. You'll know when it feels right. I'm gonna blame all this on pregnancy hormones and hope that soon after you give birth that you'll be back to the Daisy I know and love and that you don't doubt yourself." Lizzy says.
  7. "If it doesn't feel right don't go through with it. Like I told you he proposed because he loves you it had nothing to do with the baby you know it didn't. I guess it's just gonna take a bit of soul searching for you to figure out what you want and when you want it. That boy has waited for you since second grade, what's a couple more months?" Lizzy asks.
  8. "There's nothing to be scared of. I love you like a sister I've never had and you mean a lot to me. Don't be scared of me." Lizzy says.
  9. "Daisy I...I've always been your best friend and I always will be if you'll allow me to be. I just want you to know that I will never look down on you for anything nor will I ever laugh at you. I'm always gonna be here for you to talk to." Lizzy says pausing at the doorway. She smiles at Daisy then heads to bed.
  10. Lizzy took the hot chocolates into the living room and the girls spent the night watching movies, gossiping, and talking about anything in general but Lizzy still couldn't get Daisy to talk.
  11. "I can try but I've been trying all night." Lizzy says pouring the water and then mixing the hot cocoa.
  12. "Lizzy is everything alright with her?" Cooter asks as Lizzy heats water in the kettle. Lizzy glances back into the living room and sighs. "I have no idea. She won't talk to me. She says everything is fine but...I can tell there seems to be something wrong. She's staying the night tonight Bo thought it would help but...I don't know." Lizzy says tucking a hair behind her ear.
  13. "Hey you're safe here Daisy." Lizzy says bending down to scratch Oliver's ears. Oliver was a springer spaniel mixed with a bit of cocker spaniel and was Cooter's dog Buster's pup. "Do you want some hot cocoa or something?"
  14. "Just go make sure it's alright with your cousin. Who knows maybe she'll want to sleep in her own bed for once." Lizzy said. Bo smirked and kissed Lizzy gently before loping back to the car.
  15. "I guess. You've just been kinda quiet since Daisy and I came back from the rest room at dinner. I just wanted to make sure everything was alright." Lizzy says as Bo tucks a stray hair behind her ear and then lays his hand on her cheek. "Yeah I don't think Dad would mind if Daisy stayed."
  16. archive them to a sub-board but don't completely erase them. Sounds to me like a popularity contest. Sure maybe only the best will survive but erasing someone's dedication to a story sure sounds harsh to me.
  17. So they went home all four piling into the General. Lizzy watched out the window as the scenery flew past and listened to the music which almost drowned out Enos and Daisy's talking in the back seat. Enos was dropped off first then Lizzy. When they pulled up to Lizzy's Bo climbed out with her and walked her to the front door leaving Daisy in the car. "Is something wrong Bo?" Lizzy asks.
  18. Ok get this last Christmas my sister got me a model of Daisy's Jeep that my dad put together for me. I've been meaning to put up pictures of it but I haven't gotten around to it. This Christmas my other sister got me season three and season four of the Dukes and my grandmother got me a model of the General Lee that my dad's gonna build for me eventually. I found it odd that my grandma got me the model car but it was great. I'll get up pictures when I can.
  19. "You guys ok?" Lizzy asked as she came back and sat down with Daisy.
  20. The date continued eventually leading to Bo and Enos sharing a few dances with their girls. When the girls excused themselves to the bathroom to freshen up Bo looked at Enos. "Do you think I should ask her? Lizzy I mean, to marry me?" Bo asks. "I don't know. If you really love her then maybe you should but you have to make sure she knows its not about the baby. Lizzy's really scared of that right now. Just be careful with her." Enos answered. "Oh. Ok I guess that makes sense." "And Bo only ask her if you know she's ready. Don't ask her and only to have her tell you she's not ready." Enos says. "Interesting." Bo says.
  21. Reading this thread makes me think twice before posting something on here and I don't like it. I get it. And I'm tired of seeing you complain about it. Seeing all these crappy stories does make it uninteresting to those who are looking for a good story from loyal Dukes fans. But I see the other side. Sometimes it's hard to come up with more than one liners and being the type of person who can only get on late at night makes things even harder when you're trying to write with someone especially if they can't get on late at night. Saying that you need to write something worthy of reading or not post at all goes a bit too far. Some stories aren't good. Read the first couple of pages and then if it continues ignore the story. Nobody is making you read the story. I've had problems with this on other sites as well. Look flat out, it's a story most likely put out there for the enjoyment of the person writing it and maybe their friends they've met online. It's not everyone's cup of tea so to speak. Just like books in print if it stinks I ain't gonna read it I'm just gonna ignore that and search for one I want. I don't like people saying don't put this up because it stinks. That's your opinion and like your armpit I believe it stinks. For all I know someone else is going to look at it and say it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. Discouraging someone from posting because they don't write big paragraphs every time they post and only once in a while isn't right. I know you're probably gonna reply with something like "We're not saying you can't post it we're just saying not to post it there". Then that's all that needs to be said and don't saying else about it. If writing one liners gets to you I'm sorry but people are going to continue to write what they want no matter what you say. Like it or not that's my opinion. Everyone's got one and if you don't like it you don't have to listen. I just hope that one liners don't get anyone banned because that's not right.
