  1. "Thanks Daisy. I'm sure it'll help." Amber says.
  2. "Amber, tell me what's going on." Lizzy demands. Amber sighs and hands Lizzy Dawn then pulls up a chair. "Four weeks ago I miscarried and my boyfriend dumped me. Docs said it was a little girl. I haven't been sleeping well ever since and well...I guess it just hurts more than I want to admit." Amber says. "It'll do that for some time. Especially when you see little kids playing in the park or something like that. You'll get over it though and learn to live with it." Lizzy says. "How can you be so sure?" Amber asks. "Because I did. I made it through and I know you'll do the same. You're cut from some pretty tough stuff and you'll bounce back. As for that guy...it was his loss. You'll find someone better out there for you." Lizzy says. "Yeah you're right I will." Amber says.
  3. "How bout some ridding lessons?" David suggests. Lizzy looks up. "I've got a nice little mare who would just love you to pieces."
  4. Lizzy listened half enthralled and half remembering how Bo could get.
  5. Soon breakfast was on the table and they were all enjoying it.
  6. "What do you say I whip you up some?" Lizzy asks.
  7. "I like bacon." Austin says. "Just like your daddy. What about Chocolate chip muffins?" Lizzy says.
  8. "mmm eggs and sausage. My favorite." Lizzy says ruffling Austin's hair and kissing David on the cheek.
  9. In the morning Lizzy woke up late to the smell of bacon and eggs and sausage.
  10. David said good bye and hung up staring at it.
  11. "Ok sounds good. Just don't say anything I want it to be a surprise." David says.
  12. "I thought that's why you asked her if she could him. Anyway I think I can set everything up for this weekend." David says.
  13. "I wasn't going to. I was just thinking that if that doesn't work then we could send them on a vacation of sorts for their anniversary. Maybe a weekend out of Georgia and away from Austin." David says.
  14. "She said she wants to let him talk but that girl is more like her mama than either of us wants to admit. I'm worried that he's gonna say something that isn't gonna convince her and she'll run. Just like Mary did when she left you. You know things were much simpler before Austin was born. Not that I don't love my grandson but...it just seems easier." David says.
  15. After Lizzy was sound asleep David called Cooter. "Hey sorry to call so late but I think their situation just got more desperate." David says.
  16. "Do you think I'm doing the right thing? Keeping me and Austin from him a few days to give him time to think?" Lizzy asks.
  17. Lizzy gives a small smile and sags against him. "One more day Daddy. One more day and I'll give him a chance." Lizzy says.
  18. "Good night, sweet dreams." Lizzy says kissing his forehead and walking into the hallway and shutting off Austin's light.
  19. "I'm sure. So you had your bath, and your story. It's time for bed now. Good night sweetie. I love you." Lizzy says.
  20. "Tell your mom I love her." Bo whispers to the air. "What did your dad say?" Lizzy asks taking the phone.
  21. "Listen I got to go. Your mom doesn't want me talking to you for long. I love you bud and I miss you." Bo says.
  22. "I bet you like spending time with your mom." Bo says.
  23. "Hey kiddo. You like Grandpa Jackson's?" Bo says.
