Yeah I agree with all the above. I am not a fan of Coy and Vance and can understand Tom's anger at their poor portrayal of being a replacement Bo and Luke. The show was a lot of fun and as is said by the producer on one of the season's extra's, after season 5 the show lost ratings and maybe if the replacements hadn't been so poor and the negotiations with John and Tom were done before they could walk out, then the show could have continued for a longer run. Then again, it isn't the actors fault that their portrayal, the writers and producers made them that way unfortunatly. So there, Tom's anger towards them was unjustified. I dont like Coy and Vance personally, definfitly a low in Dukes, but I can understand where Tom is coming from there.

Bo nodded and sighed softly and gently in relief. He wished it wasn't so hard to breath but he had to admit, it felt better than being drugged up to his eyeballs and feeling sicker than a dog all the time. He got sick twinges sometimes because he was still on a fair amount of the medication, but it was keeping him largly comfortable so he wasn't about to complain. He just couldn't wait to get home. Reaching over, he took Luke's (he now noticed with a frown) shaking hand, looking to his cousin and seeing now the fear and guilt that resated in his older brother's eyes. He sighed and shook his head, squeezing the hand softly. "Luke...s'matter?"

Bo nodded, looking over to Jesse You rekon he's still mad an' is gonna grill me or is just makin' us sweat it out?

Bo shifted a little in the silence that fell on the room, wondering whether JEsse was still mad and pondering what to say next or whether he was just making them sweat...which was likely. "Luke...you got...anything./...fun we can do?"

Daisy shook her head "I ain't goin' back until I know the coast is clear...lets go down and get them some food instead...." She said as she accepted B.L's hand. Bo sighed and nodded gently back. "Know what ya mean."

Daisy nodded. "Yeah I know....well they may be able to get off light..so long as Jesse doesn't find out it was shine he was drinking and that Bo made passes at Luke and stuff....basically if Jesse asks for details....then there may not be much more left of Bo by the time we get back..." Bo sighed with relief as Jesse dropped the subject, leaning back against the pillows.

Daisy nodded, sobering. "I know....but still...remembering Luke desperatly trying to sober Bo up before we got home...and all those passes Bo made at him..." Bo looked to Jesse, nodding his head "Yes sir...."

Diasy did the same, nodding and catching her breath before saying. "We shouldn't even be laughin'...it ain't even funny..." Bo swallowed, sobering more as Jesse glared, knowing he was about to get the worst chewing out of his life as he would be questioned and then lectured badly.

Bo snorted a little, before changing it into another cough, biting his tounge hard to sober himself, the pain instantly stopping him from laughing anymore as he looked to Jesse, swallowing gently....boy did he look mad now...

Daisy shook her head and quickly left the room, ducking into the farest girls bathroom and collapsing into peels of laughter. Bo watched amazed as Daisy left, finding it even harder to conceal his laughter as he knew where she had gone and why.

Eventually Bo got it back together and looked to his stern Uncle, swallowing gently as he said, innocently but getting snorts of barley concealed laughter as he struggled out. "Somethin' wrong...Uncle Jesse?"

Bo bit his lip, looking away as Jesse flicked a stern gaze to him, coughing a little gently as he kept his head down, trying to conceal the sudden, inexplicable urge to giggle like a little boy. Daisy noticed this, and had to bite back her own giggle.

Bo quickly managed to get his breathing back under control, punching Luke gently in the arm with a small smile for what he had earlier said before resting his head back and looking to the others who all wore worried expressions. He grinned a little again and said slowly. "What....when have...ya ever known....me to make a ....quiet entrance back....into the world...."

Bo chuckled a little but soon found that was a bad mistake as the slightly jolty action sent pain through his chest, caushing him to gasp which in turn caused him to cough, dragging in breaths as best he could.

Bo smiled back and nodded a little ways, using the pillows for support. "Can't....breathe pro...properly with....without the oxygen.....but I's better.....they...reduced the....pain medication.....

True to his word, Luke never left Bo's side over the days that he spent in the hospital. He did however go to the waiting room occasionally to have short naps while the Doc's did the necessary tests on Bo.... At the end of about his first week in hospital, Luke returned to the room to find Bo sitting up and awake. Bo smiled softly and said gently, words no longer as badly slurred and the glazed look in his eyes gone. "Hey Luke..."

As Bo slept, Daisy softly sat beside the boys, resting her head on Luke's shoulder and laying one hand gently over Bo's clenched one as Jesse too came in to join in the family hug, slipping his arm around both Daisy and Luke and holding all three of his children close.

Eventually, Bo fell asleep safe and secure in Luke's arms, snuggled tight into him, his hand not relaxing one iota as they remained firmly entwined in the blue plaid he had always known.

Bo whimpered softly, snuggling his head more into Luke's chest, not really having that much control over his body as the medication dulled everything and made him feel sluggish and heavy. He trembled softly in Luke's arms, fighting back every urge in his body to scream and yell in anger and emotional pain.

Bo nodded underneath Luke's hand, swallowing as he twisted his hands tighter in Luke's shirt and huddled more into him, squeezing his eyes shut as he slurred out. "Hur's....wann'go'hom.....fee'sick...."

Bo nodded and twisted his body slightly to face Luke, but cried out a little as his ribs flared with a small spike of pain that the pain medication couldn't dull so quickly and quickly resumed his original position in Jesse's arms, but whimpered and quietly asked, words slurring, if Luke would hold him and keep him safe. Daisy bit her lip as she heard the quiet but desperate plea, so familiar from Bo's younger days when Luke had gone off to 'Nam....he had cried nearly every night for two weeks after Luke had departed, begging to the air for Luke to come back and hold him, to protect him instead of his country and she was sure if Luke had heard that he would have come running back without a moment's hesitation. Looking to Jesse, she oculd see he was thinking of that too....luckily Luke didn't know, they hadn't told him because he would blame himself and that was the last thing they needed, for that all to be dragged up again.

Bo sniffed and pulled slightly away from Jesse, looking to all three members of his family desperatly, his voice still heavily slurred but his eyes looking a little clearer, even if he face was still very pale and his whole body had taken on a case of the shakes. "Pl'dun'go....pleas....sta'wi'me..."

Daisy could only watch as her younger cousin finally broke down from his ordeal, rubbing his back gently as she glanced to Luke, smiling sadly but supportivly. Eventually Bo calmed down and sat more hiccuping in his Uncle's arms.

Bo sobbed gently in Jesse's hold, feeling a dull ache start in his ribs but not caring as he snuggled more into Jesse hold and Luke's hand on his shoulder, squeezing Daisy's hand back as she crossed over and took it softly.

It wasn't too long after the call that Luke, Daisy and Jesse showed up, Luke looking much better than he had been when he left and so did Daisy as they rushed into the room. Bo opened his eyes as he heard the commotion and swallowed, crying out softly as he saw his Uncle, reaching out his arms to him and crying softly as he was wrapped once more in his Uncle's safe embrace, being rocked gently and soothed with soft words and gentle strokes of his hair.
