Bo watched her go, not having any will or desire to go after her anymore. As far as he was concerned, Lori could go and get herself imprisoned for the rest of her life for all he cared now. Turning away from the door, Bo picked up his blanket and got into the makeshift bed, laying on his side and closing his eyes without another word.

Before she could leave, Bo grabbed her arm and sat her down again with a force that made the treehouse shake a little. He held her fast as she struggled to get away and looked to her with a ferocity and passion that no one but Luke had ever seen in him before. His blue eyes seemed to burn with fire and if looks could kill, Lori would have been dead and buried in the ground. When he spoke, his voice was like ice. "Now you hold on just a minute. You came into this town with the intention of coming back for good, something I know for a fact Cooter was desperatly hopin' for. I don't care what the heck is goin' on between you and Luke, but I will not, I repeat, will not let you stand by and hurt Cooter like that. He's my best friend as well as Luke's and you comin' here an' leavin' soon after will hurt him like nothin' else." He maintained the firm grip on Lori as he continued to make her look at him. "Luke is goin' to Atlanta and you are gonna stay with Daisy an' I ain't hearin' nothin' else on the matter. You been on your own so long that you's thinkin' you can do everythin' on your own an' its time to put a stop to it before you land in serious trouble. I can't do everythin' on my own, an' neither can Luke...no one can. The best thing you can do for now, is to sit with Daisy - safe and hidden - an' work on a way of clearin' the charges against my name. Me an' Luke will work on this charge against you. Now that's what's happenin' whether you like it or not an' if I have to hog tie ya with Daisy in the safe place you can be double damn sure that I'm gonna do it, you got me?!" He knew Luke was looking at him like he had grown two heads and so was Lori to a point. He realised briefly then that he had sounded so much like Uncle Jesse when he had been giving his speech to Lori that it had almost sounded like a lecture. Truth was, as much as he hated Lori's persistant 'I'll do it myself' and 'I love you but you dont love me' attitude with Luke, he still cared a lot about her and he was not about to let her walk out of his life again without a fight. If being with Luke was what it took to get her to stay permanent then he would accept it. There would be other women, there always was.

Bo looked to her with a stubborn and determined look that anyone who knew him knew well what was coming next would not be argued with and he would not change his mind. "Alright, s'long as it don't have anything to do with you not wanting to do this for fear of gettin' us in trouble and/or gettin' Daisy in trouble. If you've got a helpful hint as to where we can hide you an' Daisy then we'll hear it but other than that, me an' Luke can handle this."

Bo clenched his jaw, breathing hard down his nose before answering. "Army personel are as useful as a chocolate teapot...everyone knows the Marines are not only tougher but more skilled at what they do...they're trained and pushed harder than the army...you still ain't got a chance of findin' him..." The was of course unless Luke wanted them to find him, which he had little doubt at some point he would let them. But first he would come up with a plan in which to get them both out of the situation. He could only pray that Luke wouldn't do it alone. And it was this prayer that Jaime heard and nodded to. She knew Bo was safe for now, the man standing above him had no intention of hurting Bo while Luke was not there. The whole point of hurting Bo was to hurt Luke and visa versa so he could see no point in doing that when Luke wasn't around. She slipped away from the window, keeping a mind on the other occupants of the woods searching for Luke and heading back for her house with the new information.

Bo laughed and nodded "The only girl I ever met who ain't afraid of the possibility of breakin' the law..."

Bo grinned and looked to Luke. "An' who better than our very own cousin..."

Bo looked up at him defiantly, hightened by the fact that Luke had gotten away and might have been able to get help by now in searching for him. "You ain't got a snowball's chance in hell of findin' Luke now...he's an ex-marine...he knows how to hide out from you guys easy..."

Bo nodded, frowning. "Unless we left her someplace that no body goes no more with someone we and Lori trusts..."

Bo frowned and nodded. "I guess but then its the same with me ain't it...especially round here in Hazzard...harbouring a known moonshiner, if the charge is true, and they catch me is gonna guarentee a 20 year jail sentence..." Before Lori could say anything, he shot her a look that told her to hush up and let them talk this out. This was how he and Luke worked out the most complicated problems, by throwing ideas back and forth until they came up with something...or rather Luke usually came up with something.

Bo grinned as he heard the heated conversation and saw the guy scurry away quickly. He knew Luke had gotten away, he was to smart not to be able to get out of a simple tape binding. Jaime swallowed as she thought of where Luke was...she knew he was safe at her house, no one could suspect he was there because of the fact that her mother rarely ever allowed people to come visit, let alone strangers and anyone who lived here would know that and she recognised these guys as being from around here. At least now she could tell Luke where Bo was...

"Well yeah Boss, but then you called us back to do something and when we went back he was gone...I don't understand how, he was tied up real tight..." The man said, slightly fearful.

Bo listened to Lori and smiled at her, shaking his head. "S'okay..." He muttered before going back to his thoughts. He wasn't so concerned about his own arrest, that could actually come in handy if he was still wanted for something or other and could lead to a much bigger plan that Boss had in mind. He was more concerned for Lori. "Hey Luke...you think you could go to Atlanta with Lori and see if she really has got an arrest on her head...for all we know, Boss could have seen Lori coming in and have her arrested so he could plant shine and get the reward money...."

The other man backed away a little, swallowing. "Well we went back to the place we left him an' he wasn't there..."

Bo nodded, looking to Luke. "Ain't it right though...what I said earlier...they can't arrest ya unless they catch ya with the shine...I mean they suspected us for ages but couldn't do nothin' about it till they caught us with it..."

"You won't get away with this! Same as Carl never got away with it!" He yelled, struggling harder against his restraints as another man came in and whispered into Harve's ear. His cousin's gone missing...

Bo laughed and nodded "It was pretty much that. He stopped me in the loner Cooter leant me an' o'course it's a piece o'junk so I didn't get too far in the getaway department an' he arrested me. When I asked what for, he just said I'd find out in fronta the judge...which makes me think he had no real reason, he just wanted an excuse...probably Boss' orders."

Bo shook his head, sitting her back down. "Lori, listen. It doesn't need to be as complicated as that...thing is, I don't think they're arrestin' you for whiskey runnin'...last I heard, in order for you to be arressted they have to catch you with the shine...that's why me an' Luke got arrested. You ain't been caught, they're just goin' on the suspicion that you are, which ain't allowed is it Luke?"

Bo ate his quietly, watching Lori out of the corner of his eyes every so often as he tried to think of some sort of way to clear them both.

Bo sighed and shook his head. "Tough Lori, either you eat or i'm gonna call Uncle Jesse to come give ya a lecture..."

Bo struggled a little against his restraints. "No way..."

Bo nodded a little, taking a sip for himself too before putting it away again, unpacking some food and handing it to her. "Well...what's probably best now is some food, lil' singin with the guitars an' then sleep...then tomorrow we'll figure somethin' out..."

Bo swallowed again, shaking his head "Well I can't say I was none to happy with him tryin' to kill me either..."

Bo laughed and shook his head, carrying her up the treehouse ladder and depositing her in one of the corners, pouring a little shine into a cup and handing it to her. "Here, drink that an' calm down a bit, then we can all talk."

"Well maybe puttin' some blood back in yer head will help ya calm down an' quit screamin' an' cryin' at us every few seconds, might replase the overactive emotional drive with some common sense..." He said with a smirk as he carried on walking.

Bo jerked at her name and looked to him, swallowing hard. "What has Diane got to do with this..."
