Dusty Rose Duke

Dusty looked at Julie for a moment then turned back to Jesse. She put an arm around Jesse's shoulders and lead a little ways away from Julie. "Jess, could something else be bothering Julie? I mean you and I both know first hand how she's like. She gets something into her head, she won't talk. So level with me, could it really be something else?" "And besides CUZ, she got me on her side to. I honestly never thought that Bobby Ewing would the better choice for Kathy. I guess I was wrong. Maybe she's better off with him." Dusty said as she put an around Kathy's shoulder and gave her a squeeze for reassureance. "Well if that's the case Dusty, then why didn't you and Kathy stay in Dallas with the big Ewing men? Why did kathy come here and you 'Sugar' come back here to Hazzard and marry a bunch of country boys like us?" Rosco said as he pointed to Luke and himself. Cue dukesrule or Julieduke

6 hours later Dusty awoke again and looked down at the man that was still asleep on her stomach. She watched Steve with a little smile on face as she started brush his dark hair through her finger tips. Dusty couldn't help feel at peace. She wouldn't mind waking up like this every morning. Curled up close to Steve, nice and warm. Dusty thought back to the strange dream she had the night before. She could've sworn that her dead father was in the very room she in. Dusty moved a little to get comfortable which jostled Steve awake. Steve sat up and wiped his eyes to get rid of the sleep then he turned his eyes on the lady in the bed. She gave him a big smile. "Morning Sweetheart." Dusty said with a huge grin. Steve grinned back, his mind still fogged with sleep. "Morning Baby." Steve said automatically. Then his eyes went huge. "Dusty, your awake. And come to think of it, you called me sweetheart." Steve said with ateasing grin as he sat on the bed gently and leaned close to her. "Well Sweetheart, you called me Baby." Dusty whispered as she grabbed Steve's shirt and brought him close. Steve's grin widened as captured Dust's lips with his. All of sudden they were jostled apart when Steve's father Mark entered thae and poor Steve fell to the floor. Cue Julieduke

Dusty laughed and decided to tease her cousin. "Oh yea Julie. I mean Jesse is such a stud. Why just the other day Jesse got a phone number of a girl who was Bertha. Only her real name was 'Big Bertha', and she was wrestler. Jess got experience first hand what it meant to be 'Pinned' to the mat, right Jesse?" Dusty said with ateasing hilt to her voice. Dusty couldn't say anything right away because she was laughing so hard. When calmed down, she wiped the tears of mirth from her eyes. "Oh god. You know that reminds me of the time Cooter and Bo went to Atlanta for some parts and stopped at this club. According to them, these women were huge. Isn't that right Luke?" Dusty asked Luke with a chuckle. Because Luke was the oldest she knew she would get back up. Cue Julieduke

Dusty watched the foldings and looked down at her sister. "You right Julie. I'm sorry Just please watch your back." Dusty whispered in Julie's ear and made her towards Kathy. "You got a point Kathy. I mean if Luke would loved you, he wouldnt have told you he wanted a divorce Right?" Dusty asked as stood beside Kathy holding her head up high. "Dusty your the most stubborn woamn I ever met. Ain't it just like a woamn to blame the man when it's woman's fault in the first place, ain't that right Luke?" Rosco asked as he too stood beside Luke. Cue Julieduke or dukesrule2000

Rosco came out of the farm house and walked towards Ridge Runner. Dusty stood there with a grin then tossed Rosco her keys. He caught them in mid air and grinned. "I just want to say one thing Rosco P. Coltrane," Dusty said as she put her arms around his waist. "I love you and I'll be glad when this is over." Dusty said as kissed Rosco. They broke the kiss followed their family in Ridge Runner towards the Boar's Nest. Cue dukesrule2000 or Julieduke

"You mena Uncle Jesse that you want me and Rosco to fight along with Luke Kathy? Or do you want us to take sides?" Dusty asked still watching her sister closely. Cue dukesrule2000 or Julieduke

"Yea we will Julie. Because we got something a whole lot stronger than those Jack a Damby's following you got." Dusty said with a grin. "Do you want to know what it is?" Dusty asked. Cue Julieduke, Bo's Crush, LoriDavenport or i1976

Dusty burst out laughing again. "Rach let me get this straight! You gave Ross here, blond hair?" Dusty asked serious. The minute she looked at Ross again, she lost it. Cue Julieduke

Dusty imediantly turned towards her sister. "Julie that ain't never going to happen in this centery." Dusty said as she walked towards Julie and put both of her hands on her shoulders. "I don't want JR Ewing anywhere near you. Julie you know better than any one, what JR did to me when he kidnapped me, what shape I was in when ya'll brought me home. Jr is not going anywhere near you and you are to stay away from him, ya here." Dusty growled furiously. Cue Julieduke or dukesrule2000

"What do you want me to do Uncle Jesse? Rosco and I are willing to help. I want Kathy safe and I want thoses Ewings out of Hazzard. So what do me and Rosco do?" Dusty asked with a grin as she looked up at Rosco. Cue dukesrule or Juileduke

A couple of hours later, after Dusty was brought out of surgy, Joe also known as Joseph Douglas Duke Sr, crept to his oldest daughter's room. As he slowly entered he found a unkown man sitting next to his daughter's bed with his head on her stomach. Dusty started to come around after being unconsuious for 12 hours. She opened her eyes and got the shock of her life. She stared up into her fatther's blue eyes. "Am I dead?" Dusty asked as she tried to shift into a better position and looked at her father. "No sweety, you're not dead. You are very much alive, thank god." Joseph said as he slowly walked rowards the bed. "Well if I'm not dead daddy, then why are you Dusty asked with a yawn. "Just call me your guardian 'Angel' baby. Now go back to sleep." Joseph said as he watch Dusty's eyes shut. He brushed her strawberry blond hair out of her eyes and placed a quick kiss to her forehead. Then as quickly as he came, he left. Cue Julieduke

Dusty laughed a little bit at Ross's perdicament. "Yea Monie you are so right. That would be so funny to seee." Dusty chuckled a little. Cue Julieduke

Dusty grinned at her little cousins comment. "You know something Julie. I was just thinking of naming one of the twins after you and me. What do you think of these: Julie Ann and Dustine Jesse?" Dusty asked with a smile. Cue Julieduke, Bo's Crush, LoriDavenport or i1976

"Uncle Jesse, do you mean to say that you want Kathy here, to pull a Duke Shuck and Jive on Bobby?" Dusty asked with a grin. Cue dukesrule2000 or Julieduke

(Just a quick note to everyone. I happen to love Alex Cord who played on Airwolf, so I thought I'd use him in this story as Dusty and Julie's supposely dead father!) While everyone in the ER rushed around Steve, trying to keep Dusty alive, a mysterious man stood in front of the closed door that lead to the ER room that Mark and Jesse had Dusty. He stood about 6'1" with blond hair, moustach, and blue eyes that were covered with dark glasses. He crept slowly away from the door and went to one of the pay phones to conceil his cover and appereance. He picked up the phone and dialed a familar number. He let it ring a few timed until he sighed with relife when he heard the beatiful voice on the end. "Cordy baby, it's Joe." Then man said. He listned for a minute and then nodded his head. "Yea I'm at the hospital. And before you start negging on me, I'm alright. But our oldest daughter isn't." Joe said with a shaky sigh. "Well from what I gather Cordy, Dusty at the parking lot of the LAPD when she was shot and then ran over by a car. I'm thinking it's the group of people who are after us. Now baby, Dusty's fine. She's a Duke remember. We Dukes are surviors. Just stay in the room with Joey and the girls. I'll be there as soon as I can. Yea I love you too baby. Bye." Joe said as he hung the phone and closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Cue Julieduke

"We got your back Luke. And I second Julie, Luke. Please becareful. My twins need their Uncle to teach them the finer points about racin and all things in general." Dusty teased. Cue Bo's Crush, Julieduke, LoriDavenport or i1976

"Steve's doing fine Julie, he misses me at the station. He says the place isn't the same without my southern belle charm. And the good news is Cuz, you're going to be aunt to twin Girls. Little Ms. Presidents." Dusty said with pride as she looked at Steve. Cue Julieduke, Bo's Crush, LoriDavenport or i1976

Dusty laughed and shook her head at the memory. "You know Pheb's. I asked my parents the same question and this is the answer that they gave me and my younger siblings." Dusty said as she sat down on the hood of Phoebe's car and began to tell her parents love story. "As ya'll probably heard from Monica and Ross, our family was known for making the best moonshine here in Hazzard. My father happened to be on a run for Uncle Jesse when he past this car that had broke down. Well dad pulled over and went to ask the driver if he needed help." Dusty said with a laugh. "Needless to say my father got the shock of his life when realised the he was in fact a she. Their first meeting ended up in a screaming match. What my dad didn't realise was that my mom's brother was a best friend of Uncle Jesse. As the day progressed, mom and dad ran into one another and fought." Dusty said as she continued to laugh as Phoebe and Joey handed back her pictures. "Well to keep a long story short, their last confertation ended at the Boar's Nest. My Uncle's Devon Miles and Jesse were sitting at a table talking and my dad was standing at the bar when my mom walked in. My dad started to hit on her, which ended up with them arguing. That quickly ended with mom dumping a whole picher of beer on dad's head, and dad kissing mom." Dusty said as she finally sercummed to her laughter. Cue Julieduke

"Kathy's right. I mean Miss Ellie was there when I needed someone to talk to, even if she didn't know that JR had me kidnapped in the first place." Dusty said as she crossed her arms. Cue Julieduke or dukesrule2000

"Why that greedy Jack-ass! And because of that, he wants the shares. That must have really pissed him off. Well JR always hated the fact that Miss Ellie loved both Kathy and I over his dear, sweet, precious Sue Ellen." Dusty said through gritted teeth. Cue dukesrule2000 or Julieduke

"Hey now I'm not through just yet. Not by a long shot. I have another picture of my dad." Dusty said as she took it out and showed it to everyone present. She couldn't wipe the smile that appeared on her face as she looked at her dad's phote. "Uncle Jesse used to say that my dad could go for a double of Alex Cord the actor. Dad would blush and shake his head and then turn and give me a wink. But that's my dad. Ya'll notice how my baby brother and my father look alike." Dusty said proudly, holding out the picture. Cue Julieduke

Dusty shook her head. "Ok Julie what are those thuggs doing now? Are they still behind you?" Dusty asked trying to think of a quick plan. Cue Julieduke, Bo's Crush, LoriDavenport, or i1976
