Its intersting how people assume the movie is a stinker.. ignoring the drug use this movie looks as if it might be promising. Im 19 and as a teen i liked movies such as american pie , dazed and confused . But i still think drugs DON'T belong in hazzard. espeacilly uncle jesse and the govenor . Denver Pyle (and uncle jesse )was a strong religous person who always made the right moral choices. not to mention what kind of govener does drugs. I just wonder why the director would make the dukes drug users??? If Jay got the the opertunity to do remakes like the Brady Bunch ,I Love Lucy, or The Andy Griffith show ......who knows what could happen

I think cuiriousity and insecureities will lead Ben Jones and other ney sayers to see the movie. Its PG 13 how so they must have cleaned it up some what. and still .... the other night Ben Jones was on MSNBC telling foaks not to see the movie. Im cuirius what Ben Jones Idea of a Big Screen Dukes of Hazzard Film would be since PG-13 wasn't clean enough for him. I doubt the original cast will be invited to the premere . I don't think the director Jay C. would even consider the possibility of being in the same room as Mr. Jones . Too bad , it would have made great publicity to see both casts come face to face

Just becuase the new cast isnt the most populor or logical does not mean they will be a disapointment. After reading an article witch compares movie remakes of the summer to the originals..... well its clear that producers capture the original concept and toss out the rest. Dean Jones was replaced by Linsy Lohan in the Herbie move. Shure there is always room for improvment Most fans think Burt should have played a differnt role. I havent heard any ney sayers as far as Devito as Boss . I don't think he is any more expensive than Burt or Jessica. For whatever reason the supertroopers director has an obsession with the idea of Burt Renolds as Boss Hogg. As a B.S. excuse he claimes people don't want see an short / fat actor that could be beat up as Boss Hogg. I disagree with that theory. The original Boss and Rosco Where hillarius fans couldn't get enough of them

The REAL reason there not in the movie is because original cast doesn't agree with the way the film was being made and the producers know it. "They wanted way too much money and the budget wouldn't allow it " thats the best exuse Jay could come up with......LOL The original cast was NEVER too big for their fans. If they supported the new movie they would have done cameos for the fans and the love of the show.

The pic of the poster looks bad because it must have been takenin the dark or somthing. It looks real and the logo next to the mouse arrow says 100% authentic

I was just going through some old Hot Rod magizines and remeberd the one with the starsky and hutch terreto on the cover from the movie I wondered If Hot Rod would do a cover page article based on the General Lee and other cars / stunts in the movie. It would be a great promotion for the movie. Im shure the editors wouldn't heasitate to do a cover page article if they had the chance

the director said the new duke boys dress like "normal" people (unlike the originals in his opinion) LOL. If they wore the same wordrobe it would just be a sign that there trying to impersinate the originals and thats not what there trying to do .

SWS and Knoxville may have acted like morons in there other moivie bit that doesn't mean they will act stupid in this one. Jessica is hot and if your sceptical about her acting read article from USA (posted on this site , link on the main page) featureing mention of outraged fans on this site Her fame brings a lot more attention from the press and will attract an audiance that wouldn't have bothered to see the movie otherwhise The General is an American Musle car. I am very thankfull that there where no royce burners because this isn't the Fast and the Ferious (otherwise poul walker would have been BO) Kids today are too obsessed with royce burners . They don't know anything about mucle cars. ( as far as Im concered theres NOTHING cool about a roce burner) Considering the trailer is getting good feedback I wouldn't worry about it It should do well

The director was probobly too embarased to admit to the press he did't want original cast to appear in the movie. Ben Jones tried to contact the director and was ignored. two reasons why the original cast will not appear: 1 The director / producers didn't want them to be a part of it 2 The original cast did not want to appear since the new movie is so diffrent from the show The only reason some fans wanted to see them is because they couln't imagine a dukes movie without the original cast If anything they might have a portrit of picture of the original cast like the painting of Boss Hogg that was on the wall in the sheriffs office in the reuinion movie . I would NOT coun't on that.... Theyed probobly have to get premmision from the original cast

a vew varius reasons people might be sceptical 1 The cast 2 the fact that it isn't famliy rated 3 It may not have a whole lot of resemblence twords the original show

I kind of the R rated teen verion with nudity profanity and all the all the other stuff that you see in those kind of movies. I think the producers are targeting the audiance that likes movies such as american Pie and "Jackass" Supertroopers ext...

What happen to cooters garage??? On shows where they used the same set (gilmore girls) I can recogize it as hazzard but cooters garage seems to be missing ... It wasn't in the Reuinion
