  1. *Glances between MaryAnne pulling out a pair of handcuffs and Kristy praying for Garrett. Steps over to where Kristy is. Stares at Garrett a moment. Then whispers*Please let him wake up soon.

*Looks up at Daney and offers a weak smile* Thanks Daney, glad you're here. *Pats her gently on the shoulder.*

  2. *nods at the gratitude from Kristy* Dont worry, hes going to be okay...no you dont need to do anything to thank me, Im just glad that I was able to do something...when it first happened I thought they both might be in serious trouble beyond any help... *glances at Garrett*

*then hears Brian speak and sighs* No what he did wasnt an accident.. *looks around for Chet* and speaking of... where did he go?

*Nods at Alex* Well thank-you. If not for you, he'd. . .*she lets her words trail as she looks down at her brother before taking his hand before losing herself in prayer for him to wake up soon. Despite everyone's reassurance on her brother's positive outlook on what happened, she wants Garrett to prove it to her.*

  3. *Tears swell in eyes as she eyes the injured Coltrane and MaryAnne and then at Alex before looking down at Garrett, taking it all in. Shaking her head, she looks up at Alex* Thank-you Alex for *takes a moment to wipe her eyes in attempt to clear her raw emotions* for what you did. He owes you his life if and when he wakes up from this. *Looks down at Garrett to run a hand through his dark blond hair while eyeing the covered wound.* I'm here for you, Garrett. Just wake up. *Sighing heavily looks back up and says to no one in particular* Well I was startin' to worry where he was after not coming home and all. Was beginning to think he got his sorry self arrested. *Eyes Alex again* Thank-you, again, for what you did. If there is anything I can do to repay you for what you did, please let me know.

  4. *Parks truck in front of the court house and steps out before seeing Chet ride away on his horse and the people at the clinic. Worry and curiosity fills her as she makes her way to the clinic. Upon seeing Garrett lying upon the table, his shirt cut, her fear strikes her. Seeing Brian on the other table, badly beaten, her fear and worry rushes within her. Clearing throat* What happened? *Slowly makes her way to Garrett's still body, eyeing her brother momentarily, before looking up and watching Brian a moment and then at the people that make up the room; looking for an answer.*

  5. "The new spa in Atlanta? Never figured you to be the spa-type Daisy," Kristy states patting Daisy on the back, "Not that that matters any. But now that you got my curiosity up," Kristy pauses for a moment as Bo runs out of the front door with Luke close behind him. "But know one thing, Daisy, I'm here for you. To listen or to help you anyway that I can."

Bo and Luke come to a halt as they overhear what Kristy had said. "Daisy needs help?" Bo questions, unable to contain his curiosity.

"Oh Bo," Kristy rolls her eyes at him, "it's girl talk, you stay out of it. Plus don't you and Luke have your own troubles to be worrying over?"

Bo gives her a pouty and upset look before eyeing Luke and then Daisy. "Was just worried is all, but I guess the girls can take care of themselves all by themselves. C'mon Luke," he turns to Luke while patting him on the shoulder, "let's go see if Cooter's done with the General yet. Can we use the jeep, Daisy? Or is that cutting into your girl time?" Bo questions Kristy sarcastically.

"It's not my jeep, so don't go looking at me," she turns to Daisy while lifting up her keys, "come on Daisy, I can drive."

  6. Kristy gives Daisy a questioning look as concern and wonder rush through her from Daisy's last statement. Why did Daisy feel like they needed to be together more so now than ever? When they had talked about going out for a girls' day out, it had to be just to hang out and relax as they had often done so in the past. But with Daisy's last statement, questions enter her mind. The statement forcing Kristy to think that Daisy had more in mind when she had brought up the girls' day out last week, that Daisy had a purprose other than just to get away for a day. But what?

"Jamie will get over it. Plus Garrett and LB are planning on taking them to the park today," Kristy finally states, shoving the questions behind her, "I just hope that they'll keep an eye on Shay and remember his medicine. He has a horrible cold. Who would think he'd get a cold when it's almost a hundred degrees out...but leave it to him. Anyway," she pauses once more, "what you have in mind for the day? Where to first?"

  7. Meanwhile, Kristy was in her truck, driving to the Duke farm, enjoying the warm sun shining down upon the dirt road and the music that Elton was playing on the radio. Momentarily her mind falls back onto her kids who she had left back home with LB and Garrett, worried that the men would properly care for them. Sighing heavily, she assures herself that all is fine. After all, she has left them with them numerous times and all has been fine. But with Shay's bad cold and the medicine. . .

Glancing at the time on the truck, she is alerted that she is late for her meeting with Daisy and her thoughts turn from her kids to the plans that Daisy and her had made last week. Just a girls day out. It would be nice to get away from her brother, boyfriend, and her kids for a day to just hang out and not worry about anything. She loved her kids more than anything in the world, she would do anything for them, but once in awhile it was nice to get away.

Pulling up to the farm, she smiles as she sees Daisy in the front hanging up laundry before pulling her truck to a halt and jumping out. "Hey Daisy," she gives her another smile, "sorry I'm late. Jamie had a hard time letting go this morning," she shrugs as she automatically begins to help Daisy with the clohtes, "she had a hard time understanding that she couldn't go. After all she is a girl too, you know?"

  8. I am a subscriber to Country Weekly (A Country music magazine - this one has Kenny Chesney on the cover) and had gotten my latest magazine in the mail yesterday afternoon. I was surprised while looking through it to find an article in it about Dukefest. It was a small article mainly stating the event, when, where, and how to get tickets. What had gotten my attention was the small picture of Ben in The General.

As I said, it was small and had probably had only taken an inch or so of the page, but was excited to see the announcement in the magazine. It was good to see a picture of Ben in it as well.

  9. :D I'd go with John Schneider.

As for Sara Evans - she has pulled out of Dancing with The Stars due to stay at home with her kids during the difficult time she is now facing. She is going through a divorce now. My prayers is with her.

  10. I read the story on my Juno homepage. Said he ran into some orange cones and almost ran into a police car...he was released later than night I think. The whole thing is very sad...it is disturbing to hear anyone has been drinking under the influence; even more so when it is someone you know (relatively speaking) and like.

  12. Stepping out into the chilly afternoon, Kristy numbly begins to follow the cracked sidewalk up to the heavy glass doors that leads into the old court house. Her thoughts happily begin to go through all that LB had told her over the phone only minutes ago though as her thoughts roll over to her other brother, worry and concern joins her happiness. "Hi Kristy," Enos brightly smiles at her as he quickly turns the corner to come face to face with her, before they both come to a halt. "You hear that Garrett captured his gang?"

A broad smile races across her face while she subconciencely runs a hand through her thick strawberry blond hair. "Yeah LB called to tell me," she finally responds before eyeing the sheriff's door only a few feet behind Enos.

"Well don't let me hold you up, Kris," Enos smiles at her before he quietly walks past her.

"Hey Enos," Enos comes to a stop and the two hold eye contact for a while, "thanks for the support. It means a lot."

    Enos blushes. "Anytime Kristy."

Kristy smiles at him before slowly turning around to walk towards the sheriff's door. Taking a deep breath, Kristy slowly walks in to find Rosco quietly talking to LB, Cooter, and Garrett. Kristy silently listen in for a moment, awaiting for him to finish before Garrett looks up to find her standing behind Rosco. After a brief moment of silence, Garrett quietly excuses himself to slowly approach his sister. "I'm sorry, Kristy," Garrett's eyes go down cast before he forces them back up at her.

"Sorry? For what?" she takes a deep breath to control her raging emotions, "I should be the one apologizing." As Garrett sends a questioning glare, she finishes, "For not believing you, trusting in you."

"What else were you to believe?" Garrett shrugs his shoulders as Cooter and LB join them at the door, Rosco silently escapes back into his office to let the family be alone. "Y'all didn't have much of a choice, but to believe what was so obvious. Besides you're right, it matched my background." Garrett slowly glances at the two Davenport cousins before glancing back at Kristy. "How's Bo?"

Kristy shrugs her shoulders as her worry once again returns to Bo, of all that LB was willing to say over the phone. "I don't know," she pauses, "I came here first...figured we could go over to the hospital together."

"Good thinkin' sis," Garrett winks at her as they leave the sheriff's department as a group, "where's Jamie and Shay?"

Kristy laughs momentarily. "You'll never believe who's watching them," she pauses as they get to the door, "Boss volunteered to watch them...with help from Lulu. They came to the door right after LB called...said they felt like they should do something since they are the ones that accused you to begin with."

"You trusted Boss to watch the kids?" LB speaks up as he places a protective arm around her petite shoulders. "Shay and Jamie?"

"Yeah sure, why not?" Kristy asks as they reach her truck, "He was playing dolls with Jamie when I left, Lulu was rolling the ball to Shay."

Silence gathers between them as they gather into Kristy's truck before she slowly backs out. "You're right. I'd never believe it," Garrett shakes his head in the passenger seat as he feels his freedom begin to settle within, "Boss babysitting!" That gathers a round of laughter through the truck.

    ********************************************************

Worry and concern deeply gnaws within Kristy as they walk through the halls, struggling to find the correct floor of which Bo would be at. "Maybe they let him go," LB shrugs in hopeful thought while turning around the corner and another waiting room looms just a head.

"This early?" Cooter asks skeptically, "He lost a lot of blood."

Silence once again filters between them as Kristy leads them to the brightly lit waiting room to find Uncle Jesse sitting with Daisy in the waiting room. "Kristy!" Daisy jumps up and is quickly followed by Jesse. After hugging Kristy, Daisy turns to Garrett to give him a tight hug, "Thank-you so much for what you did for Bo. That was a very brave thing of you!"

Garrett shrugs while stepping back, lost in his own thoughts. "Not really," is all that he can think of to say. Afterall, if he hadn't brought the gang into Hazzard, none of this would have happened.

"Not really?" Jesse asks, "If it wasn't for your courage, Bo would be dead right now...not only that, but you put a stop to your old friends. Which wasn't easy."

Garrett shrugs once again, feeling uncomfortable with everyone's attention directed onto him. "It was nothing...if it wasn't for me," he pauses for a moment as he watches Luke walk into the waiting room from an opposing hall way, "it wouldn't have happened."

"Don't be so hard on yourself, Garrett," Luke calmly responds as he takes everyone in, "you saved Bo's life, end of story. If it wasn't for you, he'd be dead. Thank-you."

"Yeah," Garrett reluctantly answers before silence seeps through them.

    "How's Bo?" Kristy finally asks.

"They say he should be out of here by tomorrow," Luke smiles, "they want to keep him over night for a brief observation, but other than that, he'll be home free. A few stitches, bruised and cut up...a lot better than what he would have been, if not for Garrett."

"Why don't y'all go in and have a look for yourself?" Daisy invites them, "He'll be glad to see you. Room one fifteen."

"Thanks," Kristy smiles at the three as she leads Garrett down through the hall while LB and Cooter stays behind with Luke, Daisy, and Jesse. After a silent moment of walking the halls and looking at the numbers, they finally reach the number that they were looking for. "Here we are. You ready?"

Garrett shrugs. "For what?" he asks while Kristy gives him an understanding smile while opening the door. Together they walk into the lighted room to find Bo sitting up in an old and uncomfortable looking hospital bed, looking at a magazine with a couple of IVs hooked into his arm.

"Well you look a little better than the last time I saw you," Garrett says to draw his brother's attention onto them and a weak smile spreads across Bo's pale face. "How you feel?"

Bo watches them walk in before stopping a foot besides his bedside before closing his car magazine to set it on his nightstand. "I'm OK," Bo shrugs while taking them both in, "I'll be out in the morning." Silence breaks between the three siblings while the all three seem to take each other in, enjoying the moment; grateful for what is. "Thanks Garrett." Bo looks across his body and back up at his brother, "for everything."

"Anytime," Garrett forces a smile before stepping up towards the barred in bed and is shortly followed by Kristy, "You get out of this dump," he motions around, "I'll show you who has the fastest car...prove to you that the General will be eating 'Cobra's ' dust."

"You wish," forces a laugh from Bo before he rests back down into his bed.

"I think," Kristy slowly speaks up, "that you should rest up before doing any racing. You take care, Bo."

Bo slowly nods before Kristy bends down to give him a hug and Garrett waves as they slowly leave the room. After a short moment they are greeted by everyone in the waiting room. "How is he?" LB jumps up.

"Seems fine to me," Kristy smiles, "him and Garrett is already talking about racing."

They all laugh momentarily before Cooter and LB make their way into the hall way, on their way to visit Bo.

  13. Nick was sitting upon the old and hardened mattress of the double bed that rests in the middle of the small motel room, reading the Hazzard newspaper, when Veronica walked in with a crying baby. "You did it!" a broad smile quickly forms as he quickly stands up while throwing the paper down, "And so fast, boy you're good."

Veronica gives Nick a worried smile as she stares over her shoulder while her thoughts float back upon the baby's mother. How concerned she had been when the baby began to cry. Momentarily her imagination flows as she struggles to think of how the mother will respond when she gets the call that her only son is missing. "Yeah I did it," she forces a smile at Nick while they hug, smashing Luke between them. Looking down at the baby that she holds tightly in her arms, covered thickly in blankets so no one can see him. "Shhhh Luke, it's all gonna be OK now. You're with you're new mommy and daddy."

"why's he still crying? Perhaps you should go to the store and get some formula for him? Diapers?" Nick says impatiently at the crying baby, "And I'm not the kid's daddy! Don't get yourself attached, Veronica...we're selling him! He's gonna be worth a lot of money!"

"I got some here in his diaper bag," Veronica says exasperated, "but the kid's gonna cry, he just lost his mother and is in a new enviroment. Relax Nick, he'll be fine."

"Great," he sighs, "we just get to listen to the kid cry now. What's his name?"

"Luke Duke," Veronica responds, walking away from Nick in irritation at his tone of voice, at his impatience. Sometimes he is so caring while the next moment seeming so unsesitive.

"Well feed him...he could be hungry," Nick snaps and Veronica only nods while lying him down on the bed and over his blanket.

"Don't listen to your daddy, Luke. He's just being a grouch," Veronica smiles down at the baby who seems to slowly settle down. "There you go. I'll go make you a bottle. Nick," she looks at Nick who sits across the bed, "watch your son while I go make the bottle...he could roll off the bed."

"Once again, I ain't his daddy. Just like you ain't gonna be his mom. We need the money," Nick snaps angrily at Veronica's insistance at calling them the kid's parents. Fear seems to tangle within him as he senses his wife's easy attachment to the kid already. "We need to start packing. Feed the kid and hurry it up!"

"Relax," Veronica watches Luke hold the bottle, "you gave them our fake ID and no one will expect a thing."

"Execpt that last night there was no crying baby and today there is? C'mon Veronica...I'd rather be safe than sorry," he pleas, "and besides, we are on a timeline."

"Yeah yeah," Veronica nods as Luke throws the bottle down and it rolls down onto the old floor, milk filtering out onto the carpet. "He only drank a third of that. Not too hungry."

"Don't matter none to us. Watch the kid and I'll get us packed up and out of here within the hour," he snorts as he gets up, "and while you're watching him, don't get attached...he's not ours and never will be. We need the money and not to spend more, which would happen if we kept the thing."

A deep saddness begins to build within her as she picks Luke up who once again begins to cry and she looks at him while feeling the attachment begin to build. "We could keep this one and steal another kid...there was other kids there," Veronica suggests.

"Not a chance...he's going to the home that the Sparlin's picked out...be perfect and we'll get a big pay check for it," Nick snorts out as the baby throws up all over Veronica, "see? That's what babies do...now get him ready!"

    (CUE KITTY OR JULIE)

  14. Kristy sighs heavily as she glares out through the back picture window that shows her the kids' play set that lies entrapped within the old wooden picket fence. Her thoughts restlessly rushes through thoughts of the past few days, of all that is going on with Garrett. Guilt steadily accelerates within her as her doubt of Garrett continues to nag at her. From the day he had been arrested, she had doubted his innocence. Had even accused him of doing so while she kept reminding herself of his ragged and rough past. He'd stolen stuff before when he was back with the gang, had even gotten kicked out of the Army for drugs. Gotten lucky by only doing a few months in jail due to her own dad's fancy lawyer talk.

"There you," LB's voice penetrates the thick silence that had swallowed the the play room that she had stationed herself in. Surprised, she stiffly turns around to find LB slowly walking towards her, his soft crazy green-brown eyes are hidden by the shadow of the bill of his cap. Rubbing the thin whiskers under his chin while walking towards her, LB continues, "I've been lookin' for you. Where's Shay and Jamie?"

Kristy shrugs while she glances back out at their backyad for a silent long moment, allowing LB to join her at the window. "Daisy took them to the park. Jamie was asking to go and Daisy said it'd help her ease her mind if she took them to the park," Kristy goes silent, losing herself in her thoughts once again.

"That's nice of her," LB finally says before suddenly growing serious, "Look Kris," he takes a heavy deep breath as he slowly takes her in, "I didn't mean to scare you or upset you worse the other day at the diner. I just figured you needed to know that what everyone in town is claiming isn't the only option to the truth."

"I know," Kristy hastily answers, her attention continues to remain upon a big squirel that balances upon the fence, "we've been over this before."

"So we have," LB shrugs his thin shoulders as he glances out at the squirel before back at Kristy, "I just want you to know, that I'm here for you...and for Garrett. Look Kristy, I wish I could promise you the best...that we all will be fine. That Garrett will be home tonight and life will presume as it had before he had been arrested. But in truth I can't promise what the future holds," LB takes another deep breath, allowing his thoughts to organize for a while, "but I can promise that we're doing all that we can to get him back. Hogg and Coltrane has even joined in the search with us and the boys. "

"Yeah I heard Elton read Hogg's statement over the air this morning," Kristy nods, "but you said it yourself, he's up against some bad men. You think that local Hazzard boys will be able to stop a bunch of city boys...city boys with guns and all sorts of fancy weapons? Trust me, LB, I know y'all mean the best and all, but when the gang sees what they're up against, they'll laugh...see it as some joke compared to what they're use to fighting. I've heard and read of all that they're capable of and they've handled men a lot bigger than y'all...and Garrett."

Silence once again begins to build as Kristy's truth rushes through LB, puncturing through the confidence that had built within him; confidence that as a team, they can help Garrett. That everything will be good at the end, like a child's fairy tale. Everyone lives happily ever after. "Don't cut us short, Kristy," LB finally says, "we may not be a bunch of city boys with guns, but we got other things that they don't. We are on our home turf, they aren't. Country is a lot different than the city and perhaps we can use that to our advantage. Especially if and when we can get Garrett to come to us...we can use their tricks on them. We may seem like a good joke to them, but there's a lot more to us than what meets the eye."

Kristy slowly nods as her thoughts swirl around Garrett to what LB says and back to Garrett and her guilt. "I hope so," she pauses for a long moment, "I'm sorry...you're right. I dont' mean to cut y'all short; especially when y'all are out there trying to help and doing all that you can. I'm sorry."

"No need to be sorry. You are right...to what they're use to, we're a joke. Or look to be a joke, but we'll prove them wrong," LB pauses for a long moment before pulling Kristy into a hug. Stepping back he asks, "What else is bothering you?"

Kristy flickers a smile at LB, for him reading her thoughts so well. Or for caring so much. "I don't know," she shrugs as she glances down at the floor and back up at LB, "I just can't believe how stupid I am."

"Stupid? You?" LB asks, looking quizically at her, "Those two words should never be said in the same sentence. You are far from stupid, Kristy."

"Yeah well, while everyone looked to find a possible way to prove that he may be innocent, I doubted him. Looked at the facts and read into them," she pauses, "instead of listening to him, instead of giving him a chance. I should have known to listen to him...I mean he hasn't even attempted to do such a thing since coming to Hazzard. Or talked about it. He's changed and yet I doubted him."

"That don't make you stupid...anyone would think that and I think for a while they did too. Not any shorter than what you did...it is natural to think of who he is and of what he's done in the past. You did what everyone else did and I know Garrett understands," LB pauses to give her a hug and a kiss on her forehead, "He'll be fine Kristy. As for I, I need to get going. I'm going to go meet up with Bo and Luke to look for Garrett himself. Look at his normal hideout areas...perhaps together we can beat this gang he had once called his family."

"Good luck, Longstreet," Kristy smiles shortly at him, "and thank-you."

"Any time for you Kristian," he winks at her before turning around the corner and out the door.

    (CUE DANEY OR VICKI)

  15. "Ahhh Choo!"

Worry accelerated within the aging Duke as his older nephew's loud sneeze eruptures the silence that had captivated the house only moments ago. "I'll be right back," he softly mumbles as he slowly stands from sitting upon the old wooden chair. Taking a few steps towards the entry way into the living room, he takes a moment to glance around the kitchen; taking everything in. Cries and laughter of the past echoes within him as old memories rush through him, of himself growing up on the farm to watching his nephews and neice grow up on the farm. Of helping with homework at the table to cooking cookies and brownies to fights at the dinner table.

Taking a look at Bo and Daisy, Jesse slowly disappears around the corner and into the dark living room where more memories flush through him. Of the times spent in the living room. Of watching the kids grow up so quickly. Oh how time changes so fast.

Jesse sighs as he walks past, taking in the pictures that line the fire place, taking everything in; wanting to remember it the way it was and is now. After a long moment he reaches the boys' closed door where he hears another, softer sneeze escape from the oldest. "Bless you," Jesse says as he makes his way into the room. Glancing around his memories flood into moments of breaking up fights in the room, putting the boys to sleep when they were little. Memories of living on the farm.

"Thanks," Luke says sniffly as he rubs his nose with the back of his hand only for Jesse to glare disapprovingly at him before handing him a kleenux.

"I just want to tell you, that I don't blame you," Jesse pauses to glance across the room at Bo's made bed, "or Bo. I'd bail you and him out any time...or Daisy. Or spend money to save any of you from trouble or what not." Jesse pauses once more to control the emotions that swells within him, "Yeah this farm means a lot to me...alot of memories lie within these walls. But memories don't have to stay stationed to one piece of land, they go with you, where ever you go...I'll miss it, but Bo, you, and Daisy mean more to me than the farm. Always will."

    "Yeah but -"

"I don't want to hear any more buts from you," Jesse smirks fatherly over at Luke who's complexion has seemed to grow healthier since he had last seen him, "What I say is final. How you feelin'?"

"I've been better before," Luke grins, "but I think I'll live."

"Glad to hear that," Jesse hugs Luke while feeling his forehead, "you don't feel so warm either."

Silence falls upon Luke and Jesse as they take a long moment to glance around the room, silently allowing old flashbacks to run through them. "I'll miss the old place," Luke finally breaks the silence.

    (Cue anyone)

  16. "Mommy," Shay's tiny voice penetrates the silence that had accumulated within the small confines of the old farm's kitchen. Taking a deep breath to bring herself back into reality from her distant thoughts, Kristy slowly takes her soft caring greenish blue eyes away from the small window that hangs above the kitchen sink.

"Yeah Shay?" Kristy slowly answers as she struggles to fight back her deep emotions that rage wildly within her. Glancing down at Shay a small smile slowly creeps across her soft face as his innocence and love seems to radiate off of his small body. Looking at her children had always seemed to make things better, make the black storm clouds above to lessen or to disappear; at least for the moment.

"More," Shay grins up at Kristy, displaying the few small teeth he has while holding up his red sippee cup for Kristy to see.

"Again?" Kristy forces a playful smile at her son who nods his thin brightly blond head up at her, while staring at her with loving bright blue eyes, "What do you say?"

"Please," he grins up at her again to shove her fears and anger aside and to replace it with love and happiness that her children seem to bring her with only a smile.

"OK," Kristy gently grabs the cup while standing up and shoves the yellow lid off the plastic dup while walking over to the aging refridgerator. Grabbing the apple juice away from the top shelf and beginning to struggle with opening the cap she asks, "Where's your sister?"

"Jamie with LB," Shay answers half understandably while the other half remains only understandable to those who have gotten to know Shay, to understand him.

Kristy nods while pouring him a half cup full of juice and puts on the yellow lid before giving it back to Shay. Putting the plastic container of apple juice back into the fridge, she asks, "What do you say now?"

"Tank-you," Shay giggles before taking a long drink of his juice while beginning to walk out of the kitching.

Taking a deep breath in attempt to fight off the emotions within her, Kristy silently follows him into the small hallway and into the play room where she finds her four and a half year old daughter sitting upon the carpetted floor playing tea party with LB and a few of her favorite dolls.

"More tea please," LB speaks up within the silent play room while sitting cross legged in holey and stained tight faded blue jeans in front of a spread out yellow blanket.

"Dark tea or light tea?" Jamie returns LB's question with another question as she twirls her soft light brown hair with her right index finger, her hair pulled back into two tight pig tails.

"Um I think I'll stick with what I had, that was pretty good," LB answers as he rubs his brissly chin as if in deep thought, "the dark tea."

"OK," Jamie says in a giddy voice as she reaches over and grabs a bright white and round plastic pitcher with flowers on the sides to pour it into LB's bright pink cup, "there you go."

"Thank-you," LB smiles at the young girl as he pretends to take a drink from the plastic cup, "Mmmm this is good. You are the best tea maker I have ever known!"

A smile of admiration and love breaks across Kristy wary face as she watches her young daughter take another drink from her own plastic pink cup and at watching LB Davenport play so gentle with her; showing his love and care despite them not being his kids. "I know," Jamie finally responds proudly, "I'm the best around."

"I know you are," LB agrees with Jamie as Shay waddles over to sit next to LB, leaning an elbow upon LB's greasy knee. "Oh we've got company again. You want some tea, Shay? Tea and apple juice goes well together."

"Tea," Shay smiles while reaching over to grab another cup, knocking over they yellow pitcher.

"Shay!" Jamie abruptly yells in anger at the tipped over cup, "you've just spilled light tea...you better clean it up right now!"

"Oh Jamie, it was an accident," LB answers as he picks up the pitcher and sits up it up right, "besides it wasn't full, you must have drank it all. You were really thirsty!"

Jamie's anger quickly turns to giggling as she looks at the pretend spilled tea and up at LB with love and excitement in her soft green-blue eyes. "Oh that's right," she speaks up, "I better make more!"

Silence falls over the blanket of cups and pretent cookies and tea while Jamie leans over and pretends to make more tea into the pitcher. "Mommy's sad," Shay's weak voice breaks into the silence once again and LB looks over at him in concern who points up at Kristy who remains in the entry way of the room, watching with interest.

"Thank-you Shay," he grins slightly at the small toddler as he stiffly stands up from sitting upon the floor, "may I be excused, Jamie? I need to talk to your mom about something."

"I know I know...Uncle Garrett," she rolls her big eyes at the intrusion before eyeing her younger brother, "OK you can be excused...Shay can take your place. Here Shay...you can have dark tea and a chocolate cookie."

"Cookie!" Shay giggles again as LB playfully runs a hand through Shay's thin hair before slowly walking towards Kristy who's attention remains on her children.

"Hey Kris," LB softly speaks up as he rests a long muscular hand upon Kristy's petite shoulder before drawing her into a hug, "Garrett's a big kid, he can look after his own."

"I know he is," Kristy slowly responds as they seperate before they walk into the kitchen with LB's arms around his shoulders, "but you don't know how he was before he came to Hazzard. I knew it was only a matter of time before -"

"So you believe he did this?" LB interrupts her in disbelief as he leads Kristy to a chair, "Have you ever considered that he didn't steal those electronics? I mean this is Hazzard...and that is what Hogg is good at; framing people of what they didn't do...especially Dukes."

"So you've said and I really hope that he didn't do this. He has no reason to do that," Kristy takes a deep breath, "but he was found with stolen property a few years before we came to town...Garrett's been in a load of trouble in the past. I wouldn't put anything past him." Kristy pauses once again as she looks over LB's grease stained long sleeved shirt, "I thought Hazzard has changed him, but why whould it? He don't feel like he fits in, he'd rather be in Atlanta with his hoodlum friends...maybe" she sniffles, "maybe he figures if he finds himself in trouble here too, that dad will come to his rescue and force him back to Atlanta so dad could keep an eye on him."

Silence fills the kitchen as Shay's and Jamie's laugher fills the silent house before LB pats Kristy on the knee to bring her attention onto him. His deeply crazy filled green eyes are filled with worry and sadness. "Well then that was his choice and it is him that should pay for the crime, not you to worry about," LB pauses, "but I also wouldn't put it past Hogg to do this or one of his business buddies. Don't give up on Garrett now or start believing in the worse scenerios out there."

"Yeah maybe," Kristy says, her voice filled with dread and regret, "I hope you're right...maybe we could, or someone could prove otherwise. But if -"

"No ifs Kristy," LB shook his head, "Garrett doesn't seem the person to do what he is claimed of doing. Maybe he's done it before, but now? You think he wants to put himself away and not be able to play with Shay or Jamie again? He loves them too much to just put them aside."

"I know...I just keep going to his wild past and how much he hates being here. I don't mean anything against you or anybody really...it's not his kinda place; he don't feel like he fits in with Uncle Jesse and them guys and doesnt' really hang out with anyone. Back in Atlanta or when he was in the Army he had friends...friends that brought him into trouble, but friends nonetheless," she sighs while listening to Jamie in the play room, "I just hope that he will be ok...that he'll make it through this."

"He's a big boy and can take care of himself...he's done it in the past, why now be different?" LB stands up to walk behind Kristy to begin to massage her tense shoulders, "If he can handle the state pen he can definately handle Hazzard's jail system and believe me, we'll get him outta there before he is moved anywhere else. It just takes time. You just worry too much...let Garrett do the worrying, you need to be here for the kids...and me."

LB smiles at her before giving her a soft gentle kiss on the cheek and Kristy slowly gives him a hug. "Thank-you," she says wiping at her face, "I'd be lost without you."

"I know you would," a large smile grows upon LB's ruggedly handsome face, "good thing I found you when I did, huh?"

"Of course," a thin smile spreads across Kristy's face as her emotions seem to settle again within her, "Let's go check on the children."

    (Cue anyone)
