The Balladeer
Mocking and ridiculing beloved tv classics seems to be the "in thing" in Hollywood now. My brother is a die hard Starsky and Hutch fan. I am a die hard Dukes fan. And neither of us are jumping for joy to see our favorite shows made into painful parodies. travelerF150
The Dukes movie ain't no parody son! They're going for a more realistic, contemporary telling of the story.
Divia
Personally, I loved Starsky and Hutch. I thought it was very funny. And from what we heard they arent mocking the DOH. In addition to that there have been a ton of movies based off of tv shows that have been decent, if not good.
01 GENERAL LEE 01
I only know of Casper and Mission Impossible. What else have you seen?

Scott
I liked Josie and the Pussycats. The acting wasn't the best in the world...the singing was almost bad and the storyline was lost somewhere. BUT, I did like the movie for some reason! I think I done got old though. I believe I've seen everything on your list. As far as DOH goes...I'm not listening to the nay-sayers. There hasn't even been a trailer put out, let alone teasers, for any bonifide negative criticism. Only a couple of us in this forum (bessie88 included) have seen actual video from the movie. I can't say enough how awesome some of the scenes will be. As I said before..."if'n ya don't go to see the actors or storyline...go see it fer the stunts!" The Balladeer
Hey I am a Dukes fan right along with the rest of you. My reservations stem from Ben Jones interview.
Capt_Redneck
I have no reservations about the movie. I am 34 and I grew up watching the Dukes when it was originally on and when TNN ran it in the 90's. I know we all had our choices for the roles and the way the movie should be and we all had our differeing opinions. I can say I have looking forward to seeing the movie. Other people have posted articles on here(forgive me for not naming anyone) that have showed the directors genuineness forthe movie. As a DOH fan I am supporting the movie. If it is not as good when it comes out then I will say so. I honestly can't see Dukes fans NOT giving this movie a chance. There is no reason to just because some people are unhappy. All I know is we will see when the movie comes out and I will be there opening night with my family....Darrell
